Vejar's Mexican Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge December 13, 2023 It had been awhile since me & my daughter had came here so we came for a late lunch & we both had gotten their "Combos & Other Delicacies" on the menu. So I got the #13 Two Shredded Beef Flour Tacos & rice & beans plus my drink & my daughter she had got the #21 3-items Combo, Cheese Enchilada & a Chile Renlleno & a Taco (Carnitas) & rice & beans plus her drink also. The chips & the red salsa was delicious! Not hot at all & had a very good flavor. So Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner it's all good & remember they have a 🍻 "BAR" 🍹 & It's 5 O'clock somewhere! 🎉 Thank You & ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s 😎👍

My favorite place in Tulare. This place has authentic Mexican food. My favorite dish is the New Mexico Style Enchiladas with over-easy eggs right on top. That's the way they come but I'm sure if you ask them to place them on this side. The Bloody Mary has no words.......They are Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just loooooooooove us some Vejar's! Everything always on point here. Food EVERY TIME is always so good! Service is always great as well. Atmosphere is a chill & kick back feel. Don't get me started on those 5$ rum & cokes or shall I say rum & rum's cause they basically splash that coke in there 😆🤌👌 definitely can ball on a budget here. Prices are great, people are attentive, food is always HOT & drinks are well made. Thank u for hitting all the right marks here, you guys are awesome!

Grew up going to Vejars but moved out of the area. Was visiting earlier this month and took the chance to go again. The food is great - bean and cheese burritos with cheese on top have been my go-to since childhood so I had to have one, but I also had a tostada, which was good too. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Also, I am so excited that they bottle their special sauce now - enjoying the two bottles I have from 3,000 miles away.

My family and I visit Vejars just about every Sunday, I usually get Menudo, but the other breakfasts I've had the chance to try are just a good. Definitely get what you are paying for as far as the amount of food you get, and I love the way they make their Mecheladas.

From the start the chips and salsa looked a bit off but I gave it a shot. The chips were warm I’ll give them that but they were stale it hurt my teeth biting into them. The salsa wasn’t hot at first but afterwards you taste a little kick so it wasn’t too bad. The restrooms were an inconvenience to me they are one stall and it’s a hit or miss. You go check to see if it’s occupied leave come back check again otherwise you’re there waiting. I was a bit worried about the food at first because of my experience with the chips and salsa. Wow was that worry blown away when I tasted that menudo. Menudo and pozole are both very complex dishes to make because of the juice and the way the meat is made which is why I usually drift away from ordering either at any restaurant as much as I can unless I’m in the mood for it. Was not disappointed by it in the slightest, I highly recommend getting your menudo here. The shrimp cocktail was also made perfectly. Shrimp not frozen and the amount of shrimp is great. The waitress left me and a man had to step in that was a bit weird to me but that is the least of my concern. They have tough stressful jobs and you are bound to run into things like that in busy restaurants. Drinks are served with crunchy ice !!! I’m an ice chewer so this made me happy Overall great time here 😁😁❤ (Prices are great) ——my menudo was a small size and the portion was a full bowl for $10 ——

Good sized portions, yummy food and good service. There were 16 adults and 4 children in our party. We were there for a post Wedding rehearsal dinner. All of the adults ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their selection.

Absolutely delicious! I got the California burrito and wow was it amazing!!! Their blended margaritas are PERFECT too!! Right amount of alcohol for me, not too strong but strong enough!! My son ate his entire child's plate which was a bean burrito and fries, the burrito was perfect size for his little hands he's three. Service was amazingly FAST! They were busy enough too but my husband glass was always refilled in a timely manner! I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of their seafood plates.

It was set up beautifully. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. The rain did wait until after we ate. Vejar's food is always good.

Great food. Great service. We live about 201 miles away but every time we travel on Highway 99, we make it a point to stop here. It never disappoints. We love Vejar’s.

This restraunt is a must try in my opinion. Lots of parking, easy to access & great authentic atmosphere. You are quickly greeted & served with chips & homemade salsa. Lots of menu items to choose from. Food is served quickly from friendly staff. Go hungry so u can finish the large portions. No homemade tortillas but everything else has a really great flavor. Crushed Ice available!!

As an OTR truck driver I always look for the local hot spot wherever I can and I hit the jackpot today! Vejar's was recommended and they DID NOT disappoint! Great food, great service and I sat at the bar and had wonderful conversation with a few patrons! Thank you, I will be back next time I'm in Tulare! I've found my go to spot and it's within walking distance of the truck stop!! :)

Had the Chorizo Stuffed Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon with the Diablo Sauce!! Yum! Lots of flavor and will be back if ever in town!

We love the margarita shrimp nachos, we miss the old bartenders they had better customer service and gave everyone the same service and were attentive. New people need to work on that!

Went there with office colleagues for lunch, and every food we ordered was loved by all of us. The average meal will cost around $20 with a soft drink. Recommended to try if you happen to be around.

Mexican Breakfast was Delicious! The restaurant was spotless, and I was greeted right away by Jose. I sat at the bar, and there were tv monitors on both sides so that you won't miss any of your favorite sports. I ordered a customized omelet with ham and cheese, fresh pico de gallo, fresh salsa, grilled onions, and skillet potatoes on the side. It was AWESOME! Packed full of ham chunks and fresh ingredients. Then Jose made a delicious Bloody Mary salted rim wedges of lemon, limes, and large olives. The menu was extensive. Next time I visit, I'm trying the ceviche tostada. Don't go to any other Mexican restaurant in the area because this is the best one!

The BEST Mexican restaurant. I drive truck and try to stop every time I have a load to southern California. I have driven all states and tried plenty of Mexican restaurants, and Vejars is by far the BEST. The sweet and sour sauce they have on their tables is by far the best mix with their salsa for chips.

Service was almost non existent had to go to bar to get our own drinks and food came out all wrong . The last 5 of plates of food came out AFTER the rest of the party was done eating. Very Disappointing Service And The Food That Came Out Last Were All Cold . It was my cousin's 50th birthday party and it really was a disappointment. We have been coming to Vejars for year's and have Always Loved the Service and Food. We will be coming back for sure but will never forget my cousin's birthday party.
