Tyler did my hair PERFECTLY! He was professional, efficient, and polite. He gave my hair so many layers, and made it a little messy, but still nice looking, just like I asked for. It looks great, styled or not. The salon is clean and tidy. I would absolutely come back!

My hair cut was a new style and really captured what I had hoped it would be.
I really appreciate the experience and it being such accessible opportunity( ease of scheduling, within budget, easy parking, low stress salon ).

Tyler is amazing! I got a great haircut from him a couple months ago. And I had a color service today. He turned my at home hair color disaster to amazing highlights, for a very reasonable price! I went in for a consultation first and he was very helpful and responsive and gave me exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be coming back here.

Tyler was super nice. He listened to what I wanted and help me define exactly what I was looking for though photos and examples. He took care to explain his process as he went. He also took the time to help me learn how to style my hair! I highly recommend him! This is by far the first time in a long time I left a salon feeling I got exactly what I wanted and it is amazing!

Tyler was my stylist in Tacoma and he’s terrific! Tyler is incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and listens to his clients and their needs. I went to him to drastically change my auburn hair and go strawberry blonde. Tyler took time to explain to me his approach to lightening and his goal of lightening my hair while minimizing damage to my hair. It turned out great and I loved it! That phase is over but I continued to go to Tyler for haircuts and recommended him to friends in the area. I’m so excited that he’s focusing on low-to-non-toxic hair care! It’s so important!! Highly recommend Tyler and Bellingham, you’re lucky to have him!!

Tyler was excellent! Today was my first time to his salon. He was kind, the salon was clean, great Kevin Murphy products, he helped to educate me on my hair and how to achieve my desired results. We did an all over color, highlights, deep clean, cut, and style. Loved ALL of it. My hair turned out great. I love the cut. He was easy to talk to and really listened to my concerns.

I’m so glad I was able to find him. Most other salons have been booked out for months. He moved his business from King County (I believe) to Whatcom and has openings for new clients!! 10/10 would recommend! Go see Tyler for your hair needs!

Wonderful experience, I just got my second haircut from Tyler and once again I am not disappointed. Both times I showed a photo of what I wanted and both times I was extremely satisfied with the result! Not to mention all the compliments I've gotten from my first haircut. Tyler is the best. He cut my hair for years before I moved to the Bay Area, and after years of so-so to awful haircuts, I drove up from a Seattle for a haircut on my most recent visit to the PNW. It was absolutely worth the trip. It may not be the best haircut I've ever had, only because Tyler has given me a lot of great cuts over the years (in the before times, I'd sometimes even get compliments from people who "normally don't like short hair on women"), but it is definitely the best cut I've had in years and it is absolutely right for me right now. Tyler is uniquely skilled at translating what I have in mind into something that really works and cutting the hair that I do have (fine, wavy, and utterly unmanageable), not the hair that I should or would have.

I've been Tyler's client for three years. He is, without a doubt, one of the most talented stylists I've ever met (...and I've been around: NYC, Seattle, Mexico City). In addition to having an elegant, precise, and swift hand, he knows how to listen to his clients. Whenever I bring a photo or simply some ideas to share, he immediately understands what I'm looking for and asks me how things are looking every step of the way. In three years, I have *never* left a session with Tyler unhappy. I get compliments on my hair all the time. He is a stellar stylist, a great conversationalist, and all-around amazing person.

Tyler the salon owner and stylist is so experienced, talented, and professional. Tyler gave me the best cut I have ever had in my life! That is saying a lot, given I have an in between wavy and curly hair texture. He defused My hair at the end of the cut to ensure the way the the hair moved and the curl pattern fell was perfect.

The shop atmosphere is so relaxing, there is a ton of natural light and the decor is clean and modern. Tyler’s covid check in process was seemless, not a hassle at all. I Fee were to very safe with the protocols in place. It almost felt like normal life!

Tyler gives very honest advice on hair. He does not try to sell you, he truly wants what is going to be the most functional and beautiful option for your individual hair situation.

I decided to choose a random salon on google because I’ve felt like every salon I’ve gone to has messed up my hair in one way or another but Parkway Modern Salon was a completely different story. When I called in the process was quick and easy, and with no wait I had my appointment scheduled. When I walked into the salon I noticed how clean it was with music that was modern and soothing. I not only was offered one shampoo at the start, but then another at the end for no extra charge, Tyler was extremely talented, knowledgeable, and used techniques that no other stylist had ever used on my hair, and I can with complete certainty say this is most definitely the best haircut I have EVER gotten. I have not gotten more compliments on my hair than I have with this haircut and I will be 100% coming back next month. I would recommend parkway modern salon to anyone near the Bellingham area that wants a designer level haircut for an affordable price!

Parkway is tastefully styled, minimalist, and very chic without all the pretension. Tyler is very warm, an excellent conversationalist, and he nailed my haircut! My hair smells so good my mouth keeps watering. Haha! Great experience, he really took his time and did a great job. Would def recommend!

Tyler is the best hair colorist I've ever known, and I've been to the priciest salons in Seattle. He can do completely natural looking highlights. Tyler gets it right the first time. If I only had a helicopter, I would follow him up to Bellingham!

This is such a beautiful, modern, and eco conscious salon. I enjoyed my experience here. Tyler was very pleasant and I was very happy with my hair. AND THEY HAVE A SHAMPOO REFILL STATION! So awesome. Definitely recommend. Love to see businesses that care.

I came in with a few completely different pictures of various hairstyles and a poor description of what I wanted and it seems Tyler somehow read my mind to cut my hair to exactly what I was thinking of. Possibly the best haircut I've ever had with great styling advice too.
