Stacy at Kay Cake Designs is the sweetest! I was in charge of the non-profit Animal as Natural Therapy's Dessert Dash at their annual gala & auction, and she donated the most amazing cake I've ever seen! Our event's theme revolved a mystery, so she worked that into the cake, and it was gorgeous. It was the first dessert chosen out of around 20 others, everyone was raving about it. I am SO appreciative! Thanks again for helping make the event such a success!

This is honestly the first bakery whose cakes I've tried where they taste as good as they look. I commissioned a chocolate cake for my birthday and asked Kay Cake Designs to make it "fantasy" themed, as in fantasy books. It was amazing! There was an open book with a castle tower on it, and on top of that, a fondant dragon. Definitely the best birthday cake ever. I got tons of compliments both on how it looked AND how it tasted.

I'd definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a custom cake or their cake bites are also amazing and perfect for gatherings of friends.

Kay Cake Designs is my GO TO for special cake orders! Not only are her cakes imaginative and gorgeous, they are truly delicious. She has so many flavors/styles to choose from and is very affordable for the custom cake you are getting! I highly recommend!

Sean Humphrey House just held their annual Cinco de Mayo fundraising event last Saturday. Stacy/Kay Cakes Designs donated a cake for the Dessert Dash, it was the most amazing creation I've seen in a very long time. It was a colorful, beautiful handmade pinata cake with a matching side cake that had the same color flowers on it. Simply stunning! One of my colleagues actually chose the cake for her table and the guests loved it! Thank you so very much, Stacy, for your support and your cake donation!

5/17/14 - My daughter's 7th Birthday. We had Kay Cakes make a Circus themed cake. (SOMEONE has to have a pic... I was busy on the service-end and missed my chance (edit: it's on the website)) You should have seen the kids clamoring for "their" little sugar-treat (fondant! that's what they called it) character! It was awesome.

Then we cut it up and the cake was better than the decoration! there were 5 or seven layers of cake, whipped cream -- it was almost butter-cream -- and a fudge pudding! The only thing we needed more of was mouths. It was a LOT of cake; we had leftovers.

This was my daughter's third cake from Kay Cakes, and each one has gotten more incredible. Check Kay out for your next party. You won't be sorry.

Stacy was so great to really listen to my wants for my son's birthday. Her cheesecake was a smash! My New York mother was bedside herself as to how true the taste was. Did I mention how gorgeous it was? 5 stars!

Kay Cakes created a beautiful (and delicious!) strawberry cake with a chocolate drip down the sides for me, it matched my inspiration photo I sent early on in our conversation and I couldn't be more happy, this bakery is THE place to go for cakes!

Our cupcake and moon pie were delicious, and the skill and care put into crafting the cakes is amazing. We will definitely remember this place for our future birthday cakes.

Stacy was kind enough to donate one of her wonderful cakes to a fundraiser for our treehouse. Without any information other than it was for Our Treehouse she came up with an amazing tree stump fairy house! Absolutely adorable!!

I came to Kay cakes with an unusual request for my son's birthday party- he is a big fan of the show American Ninja Warrior and was having a party with that theme. The cake came out great and was a HUGE hit. THANK YOU!

Her work is so beautiful and detail oriented. Not only are her cakes, etc, beautiful, but they’re the best tasting thing ever! I would eat one of her moon pies every dang day if I could! The sweetest woman around, and so talented!

We had Kay do our one year olds Wolverine cake. It tasted great, looked amazing.... Super happy. A+!!

We couldn't decide which items to get. They all looked so good! We bought several muffins, a cupcake, a scone, and a moon pie. So far we've eaten the moon pie and scone. DELICIOUS!!

What a nice little place! We went for an Office trivia night last night and had a lot of fun. Check it out! Reasonable prices given the location. 👍🧁🥳 Delicious!

Really awesome spot for cakes!

I spent a long time trying to find a cake with no fondant that was simple and still looked cute. I researched local bakeries so I could support local business, and I am kicking myself since. I was near tears when I saw it, because it was so awful. I mentioned during my first conversation with the bakery that I did not like fondant. I thought that was a pretty clear indication that I didn't want any fondant/that's what I like about the inspiration cake-- buttercream only. I sent the picture and was told that it looked simple enough and wouldn't be a problem. The requested cake had smooth sides with buttercream hand decoration. What was delivered was textured sides with fondant decoration that started to fall off from the sides.

This was my son's first birthday and the cake didn't even say, "Happy Birthday" although the inspiration cake clearly had it written. On top of that, there was no structure to it and as I went to cut it, the top layer fell off the bottom layer. The cake description said a strawberry layer between the top and bottom layers. There were strawberries there, that had been mushed into the bottom layer but literally nothing else-- no frosting of any sort to hold the layers together. I ended up serving my guests what looked like slop bc we had to scoop the cake onto plates with big spoon since it completely fell apart. I was so upset and embarrassed, I had to leave the room leaving my husband finished serving up the slop to our guests. The flavor was good, but that does not outweigh the complete disappointment of everything else.

I wasted $54 on a cake that was the biggest dud of the day. I give them one start for flavor only.
