That was a blast! My daughter and I did the kayak tour with Josh and Thomas this week. It is late in the season so the rapids were only class I & II which was enough for our first time. Josh and Thomas were so patient and kind while teaching us what to do and encouraged us to try some techniques, like getting back in the kayak, when the water was calm and deeper. They are incredibly knowledgeable and very well trained which came in handy when I slid out of the kayak in the rapids. Pay attention to the video; it helps a lot! You can tell the guides love what they do and that translates into a fantastic experience for everyone. We can't wait to go back and try a level up.

Took a "3 hour tour" with this company down the mighty Skykomish. It was a blast. Our guide Scott kept us entertained between the moments our faces were splashed with white water. Our other guide Roy was veru helpful and full of stories. The main guide Blair was so helpful in explaining hiw things would work and making sure everyone got down the river in one piece. Definitely recommend them to anyone. Loved the hot tub, hot shower and steak dinner afterwards. Guides hung out with the group afterwards and regaled us with stories upon stories. Such an amazing trip! Thank you OAC!

I was heading out to the sky for a day of kayaking with my friends when I realized I had forgotten my helmet.  I checked the area and was disappointed the OAC was closed for the day but we decided to swing by anyway to see if google could have been wrong.  When we got there we saw they were indeed closed but the owner happened to be inside taking care of a few things.  They were happy to help out and provide me with a helmet so I could get out on the water on a beautiful spring day.  They are a great asset to the area and the whitewater community.

A three-hour trip on the Skykomish River with Outdoor Adventure Center was the perfect introduction to whitewater rafting ! Blair and Josh and Thomas taught us the basics, precisely and clearly, with practice before we took off down the river. This was all new to me, and I'm not strong and definitely not coordinated, but our guides were super gentle when I made mistakes. At one point, I climbed a large boulder to jump in the river (voluntary activity). Climbing was a challenging new experience, but, again, Blair coached me through it instead of telling me I couldn't or giving me too much help. That was key to my successfully conquering the boulder. The river afforded us plenty of postcard views, both calm waters and class 2 and 3 rapids, thrilling but never scary. Because the guides were thoroughly professional and dang good at their job, I felt safe and enjoyed the adventure.
I'm definitely going again next year.
Wear croakies and lots of sunscreen. Take a water bottle.
Leave everything else behind.

I've done the Lopez Island kayaking tour with Outdoor Adventure Center at least three times now and will do it again for sure. The guides are great. The tour is a blast, rain or shine... though warm weather does help.

I've added the island tour to the "must do" list for all of my family and friends who visit and want to get out and experience the northwest. We've seen sea loins, starfish, jellyfish, and the occasional porpoise... not to mention a whale on the ferry ride over to the island.

I love the kayak tours with this company.

Did the Boulder Drop Skykomish adventure on class IV-V rapids. What a ride! Our guide was great, and we had a lot of fun. Would definitely do it again.
Note for anyone who wears glasses: buy a croakie to string on your glasses so you don't lose them in the water. They'll sell you one for $8.00. Best investment ever, it saved my glasses when I dunked!

My son and I took the Skykomish River Whitewater Raft Trip - Class III and had a great time. The guides were both skilled and a lot of fun. The river was beautiful. Highly recommend!

We had a really fun time on the river, perfect blend of adventure and a relaxing float. Blair and his team know the river and were great guides. Steak dinner at the end was a perfect way to cap off the day.

Me and my girlfriend took the 3 hours Lopez Island tour and could not of been happier with the experience. Dan and Luka (hope I’m spelling that right) were very helpful and friendly guides as we had people of all experience levels in our group and assured everyone had a great experience. Highly recommend and would do the tour again!

Outdoor adventures was amazing for all the boys and leaders. They were able to structure the activities to the range of experience in the group and challenge each person. The staff was friendly and helpful. This family run business has to juggle the workload to make arrangements for the trip, but once there, it is a top notch experience. Thank you to Kathy, Blaire, Rob, Justin, and Megan.

My first experience with Outdoor Adventures was in 1999. My family and I took a 3 day kayak tour. It got me hook on Sea Kayaking... and I have been paddling, outfitting, and instructing on the West Coast ever since.

The staff were very kind and responsive over the phone and via email. I had a personal issue come up and reached out to get their help and input. They responded very quickly and were understanding and accommodating to my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this company for your outdooring adventures!
