Such a RELIEF to have an alternative to going to QUEST! It's wonderful to be able to get a human on the phone and ask questions of them.

The phlebotomists who drew my blood were friendly and knowledgeable, and they knew their craft well. They efficiently returned the information to my physicians office. I didn't have to pull arms and legs and go through some stupid, inane, arrogant, uneducated, medically illiterate person sitting at the front desk at QUEST. WHAT A RELIEF!

I don't understand some of the comments that I have read regarding price because I have not experienced that. I can't review it because I have no knowledge of it. I would be very surprised if there weren't some miscommunication, though, because of Avero (Northwest Pathology) is run locally by local physicians who know their business.

It is my understanding that local physicians started the lab because QUEST was/is so bad that they realized physicians and their patients needed an alternative desperately. I am in agreement with that. I would urge that writer/reviewer to look into the pricing discrepancy more carefully to make sure that the prices they are comparing are for the exact same assay.

They get results out fast and efficiently! Always very responsive customer service. Dr Wolgamot is an exceptional pathologist.

Absolutely fabulous team. I saw the reviews mostly bad ones were during covid and about covid tests. That's not what they're specializing in and I know they were overwhelmed with tests because of the constant lines of drive up covid tests. Not a lab I would trust more than this group of people.

As a urologist in town, I have found that NW Pathology to provide exceptional care. They provide great customer service and results in a timely fashion. I couldn't be happier with their help with our patients.

I used to work for NW Pathology Lab but they let me go when they found out that I had a past criminal background and I think if you have done your time for your crime and you haven't been in trouble with the Law for over 10 years that you should be able to get a good job and not be judged by the past. NW Pathology Lab had spelled my last name wrong on my work Badge.

I am a healthcare worker and had a Covid swab taken at a clinic-my test was marked Urgent/stat. NW Path lost my test and didn't inform anyone until we called two days later. I then had to get retested and they fought us about getting me in that day because they were busy-after loosing my test so I was unable to work for multiple days. I got tested and then waited for four MORE days until I called again to get my results. They are the most unorganized lab I've ever had to deal with.

Comparing Avero prices to local Labcorp and Quest for urinalysis, Avero was ridiculously overpriced. My lab costs were over $1100 from one doctor through this lab and only $40 through my primary care. Here is one cost for 87798.

Do not let your doctor use this lab. I was robbed and I'm dropping the doctor and ensuring I take all my requests to a reasonably priced lab. What a scam!

In the 3 years I’ve lived in Bellingham and countless times I’ve dealt with NW pathology or my family has they have been nothing but an utter nightmare to deal with. Just to give a few examples of the nightmares I’ve been involved with. I’ve had to argue with the receptionist and billing regarding testing they were refusing to do for an LNI claim that needed done right away because the person needed surgery.
When COVID hit I can’t tell you the number of tests my workplace sent in that the lab lost, misplaced for extended periods of time, or failed to send results in for. When infection prevention called for test results on an employee the person at the lab refused to give them the results because they were not physically at the workplace (they were in their car driving to it) even though they were 1 of 3 people authorized to see employee test results but a random employee who was at work was able to call and get another employees results - absolute disregard for HIPPA giving out test result information to someone not authorized to request it.
I won’t even get into the billing mess we had to deal with.

Now the icing on the cake? I have a family member who had a test done after a surgery, NW Pathology billed insurance but failed to provide the requested documents to the insurance even after multiple requests and denials for improper documentation. But did they contact my family to inform them that they would be responsible for the bill that the insurance company had denied?
No. They sent the bill to collections without even notifying my family member of the problem or outstanding bill. So now my family members credit has been damaged because this companies billing department can’t seem to do their damn job.

I would avoid using this company at all costs. Save yourself the headache.

I worked for this company until I was forced to get vaccinated. I refused on religious grounds which they then questioned the sincerity of my belief and wanted me to answer questions that were intrusive and unlawful to ask. Now they say that I am on a 3 month "voluntary leave of absence" with no pay or benefits and when the 3 months are up my position will no longer be available. This LOA also prevents me from getting any unemployment benefits. Too bad there isn't a rating lower than zero stars.

They're offering free Covid testing then sending invoices 4 months after your test and giving the run-around about who qualifies or not. Don't advertise free testing if it's not free. Also extremely rude when I called to ask about why I'm getting an invoice 4 months after a free service was provided.

Went in for a thyroid biopsy performed by their doctor. The front desk staff and the biopsy technician were very kind and comforting. However, the doctor seemed disinterested / careless. He told me at the time of service he didn't think he had enough tissue for a diagnosis. He sent it anyway to a pathologist who did not have full medical certification. Results were inconclusive due partly to their errors. They billed me $450 for this badly executed test, and my insurance would not pay them as an in-service provider (which they had assured me they were) because of the pathologist not being fully licensed. They billed me for the full amount after my insurance refused them. I asked them to adjust the bill. The billing representative yelled at me, kept interrupting me while I was trying to tell her they made a mistake, told me emphatically no adjustment to the bill and threatened to send the bill to collections if I didn't pay. I told her I was going to have the company investigated then she admitted the error and promised me she'd look into adjusting the bill. After I wrote this review the provider called me and did adjust the bill and spoke to me kindly, asking for feedback. I appreciate that, but I would not recommend this provider. Too many mistakes, bad attitudes, poor training of some staff, and the billing rep is out of control.

My husband and I were forced to get Covid tests in order to return to work. The MCC testing site listed it as a FREE test. My husband received a bill in the mail today from NW Pathology. We will be disputing this. Others should be aware though that this is happening.

Hi all, I went on a Dr's referral to get a test on Aug 2, 2021 in Bellingham WA. Very quick and professional at the Drive Thru location where there were 6 or 7 white coated people all waiting for business and no backlog whatsoever - what a cost to someone? Today, Aug 17, I have tried to call and get another appointment - it is hopeless - you cant get to someone and get relayed to some service that will call you back and which has not happened, Clearly they have hopeless management and one should find someplace else where they understand who the customer is.

Spoken to these people a thousand time over a bill my insurance company has already paid confirming with both their billing department and my insurance company, and I am sti receiving an invoice in the mail! Now they are trying to bill me for something over a year ago! Go anywhere else but here just because their billing is such a mess!!

These clowns dont know what theyre doing. I feel bad for anyone elderly or anyone not paying attention to these jokers billing department. They WILL SCAM YOU.

Perhaps if they cared more about people and service than money they would stop letting all their employees go and actually have someone avaliable to answer their phones when calling their appionment line.
