Pretty straight forward location as the office desk is close right next to baggages claim. Car pick up is right outside across the street from airport. Return was easy even with off hours, I just park the car and drop the key in a box. Overall a positive experience.

It’s not located in SeaTac terminal but public transport is available to the rental facility. On the day of my booking, it had extremely long wait times and this seemed to be the only facility facility which was busy compared to others (probably coz of better price deals).

Thrifty should call itself Gouge N' Ghost, because that's how they roll. Dishonest agent practices which lead to egregious overcharges ($150/day for a KIA soul, fellas, when booked at $35), followed by No, ZERO live customer service. No chat. No phone. If you are overcharged, you will never hear back.

Without exception the worst rental experience —in fact, worst customer experience —I've had in my entire life...and I'm not young.

I rented a car when my daily driver was in the shop for an uncertain length of time. I rented through Priceline at a rate of $35/day. Because I didn't know how long the repair would take, I asked the agent if I could extend my rental at the same rate. Yep! He chirped.

The rental lot itself isn't staffed. There's nobody there to check cars in or out or address issues. My car smelled like bongwater — suffocating weed smell. Since it was like riding in a skunk's anal glands, I drove it windows down, heat full blast and it STILL stung my eyes. But I was in a hurry.

I needed to keep the car two days longer — something I had already discussed with the agent — and when I got the bill I realized they charged me $150 a day --not $35. Four TIMES my rental rate.

They also slapped on all kinds of other fees, like an exterior wash fee. I had driven this only on city streets. It rained two of the days. How had it accrued some inordinate exterior insult requiring any above and beyond cleaning? There wasn't a scrap of anything left in the car.

Great, so you need to contest charges? They have no customer service. I'm serious. They won't address concerns over the phone. Nor over chat. You have to send an email, and a week or more later it'll be dismissed summarily in a form letter that doesn't address ANYTHING you specifically said. I sent an email with itemized issues and got back a boilerplate message a full saying 'we love serving you' and no bill adjustment.

My only recourse now is to contest charges in my credit card.

This leaves me to conclude that at this outfit, you will be lied to and misled. You will be overcharged. When you leave your car at the unattended lot, you may be slapped with cleaning fees you can't contest onsite, and won't know about til later, AND THEN CAN'T EVER CONTEST because you will be ghosted by the zero customer support.

You'll be subject to whatever penalties or charges they feel like adding about the rental, the car's condition, and whatever whims they have. I consider them actual thieves and frauds, and can honestly not believe they're still in business.

Do yourselves a favor and stay far away from Thrifty Car Rental at Bellingham airport. They didn't have my car ready when I arrived, but offered me a different one so that I wouldn't have to wait an hour. We took the other vehicle (no issues there) and had it for a week. Over a month after returning it, I get a notice in the mail letting me know that I owe them $926 due to them having to replace the windshield. They sent a 'damage report' showing a chip near the bottom of the windshield, under the wiper. Hardly something that would require a full windshield replacement. I see others saying that they've been over-charged and lied to - and I completely agree. I've rented with Enterprise at this airport before, and I really wish I had done so this last time. I will never, EVER, use Hertz/Thrifty or any of their affiliates again. Terrible (and expensive) experience!

Again - STAY AWAY from these guys, as others have also stated. I highly recommend Enterprise just a few desks over in the same area of the airport.

Charged me for 2 days, returned in 14 hours! Charged me a different, higher rate then the daily rate I agreed to, will never be Back to this location! Never use thrifty Bellingham! Edit after Thrifty Bellingham response...They are "extremely sorry" YET NO OFFER to correct the over charge, no lets make this over billing on our part right. none of that, were sorry but we will keep your money. Don't worry Bellingham Thrifty car rental, I''ll get my refund without your dishonest and greedy help!

Very unimpressed and I am a regular car hirer.

They seem more shifty than Thrifty

Booked a one way rental to Seatac. "Wild Card" car, so you get what you are given. Fair enough. What I never expected to be given was a Chevy Bolt EV with enough charge to just about get me to Seatac. I will find out tonight if it gets me there. The employee said, "it should be ok if you don't make any side trips and sit on cruise control" How many people want a just about level of charge to go to an airport on a one way rental? And who wants to rely on there being an EV charging port available near an airport? So, I reluctantly opted to pay the extra charge for them to charge $3 worth of electricity for $35. Nice little trick by Thrifty. I do not trust them now. If they had a full charge that might be fair.

Thrifty is terrible! They lie cheat and steal from every customer. They double charged us once thru Expedia and then again when you pick up the car. Terrible customer service, if I have to hear you signed the agreement, I’m going to scream. Also the line to rent the car was over an hour and everyone in line complained about the same issue, being over charged, it shouldn’t cost over $800.00 to rent a car for a week. Save your money and go somewhere else unless you want to get screwed!!!!!
