Went here for the first time and the food was fabulous, not sure if it’s close to what Cajun food is actually like but it was so flavorful and delicious! Well seasoned! Our waitress was amazing and constantly checked on us! I got the fried green tomatoes and the pork chops and it was all so delicious. My pork chop wasn’t dry at all. Brussels sprouts were beautifully seasoned! They are on the spending side but I don’t mind was worth it. I highly recommend this place! Well decorated place, lighting fits the atmosphere really well! They did have gluten free options as well!

The smell on the outside, alone, was so amazing. It's dog friendly for the outdoor seating. We came for brunch and it was fairly busy because it was move-in weekend for the freshmen at the college. Food was delicious. Drinks and everything weren't terribly priced; the atmosphere was eclectic and cozy.

I love this place and think it has some of the best food in town. The shrimp and grits are my favorite meal in Bellingham... so creamy and flavorful! Their biscuits are also next level and better than any others I've found in the region. My S.O. is from the South and loves their gumbo. There's also a chill vibe inside perfect for weekend brunch.

Amazing shrimp and grits! Would definitely come back for it. Was a great spot for a casual date night. Would love to try more items on the menu.

Phenomenal food! Our server was very friendly and helpful in deciding on menu items. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive and everything was well prepared. The fried green tomatoes were just as good as ones I had in New Orleans.

While there was a little bit of a wait, there were some interesting shops nearby we looked at.

The cornbread, hush puppies, hurricane, and etouffee were delicious. The catfish was juicy but needed a little more spicing in the breading.

Great service! Great recommendations from the staff. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Will eat there again 😋

Shout out to our server whose name I sadly did not get. We came in for Saturday brunch. The waiter came to our table and greeted us, and I desperately interrupted him, “I am pregnancy-craving beignets. Please bring them to me as soon as possible 🥺” And bless this man he had my beignet order in with our drinks and passed absolutely no judgement that I needed dessert before breakfast. 5 stars.

Best breakfast we've had in awhile. Excellent bloody Mary. Recommend those Cajun potatoes too. Good vibe and great service.

The place is very busy. The staff is friendly. It took longer to be seated, but the staff communicated with us and provided updates. The food was delicious. We will definitely visit them again.

First time coming down to Bellingham from up north Canada since 2010 for my 6year anniversary and had the pleasure of being seated in Garrell’s section, who was very engaging and lovely. Seeing as it was Tuesday night, service was also quite casual and relaxed. It was a nice change of pace and exactly why we decided to leave the hustle bustle of the big city for the day.

Food was great! There’s not a lot of options for southern food in Vancouver. The shrimp and grits was absolutely insane! So rich and decadent, honestly between him and I we still had leftovers to take home. Highly recommend. We also ordered the oyster shooter, jambalaya and gumbo, and they were all good too, however the star was definitely the shrimp&grits. Cornbread is prob one of the best I’ve ever tasted: so moist and delicious.

Definitely will return in the future.

I was in Bellingham on business and decided to get dinner before I left.

After looking through my options, I decided on Bayou on Bay because I love Cajun food.

I looked over the menu and decided on Jambalaya, and I'm very happy I did!

The menu describes the Jambalaya as containing smoked chicken, tasso pork, local andouille sausage, and Bay shrimp. To me, that is an impressive amount of meat. When I actually ate it, I found that EVERY bite was mostly meat of one or more types with very little rice! Not only that, but I really liked the flavor of the dish.

The Jambalaya also included a square of cornbread. It was gargantuan, just a normal piece of cornbread that was a good compliment to the meal.

If you decide to visit Bayou on Bay I would recommend the Jambalaya. Also, if you're vegan, they offer a vegan Jambalaya.

Our first time visiting. A bite of NOLA!! Really cool place to grab some excellent food. Full bar with a good selection of craft draft beers & a rotating cider. The Moscow Mimosa was what I was drinking, it’s a perfect pairing of the two. Fiance had the veoux carre (I probably spelled that wrong🤦🏻‍♀🤷🏻‍♀) he was very happy. We basically ate through their starters menu with beignets to finish. It was all excellent!! Definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Off the cuff decision to check this place out. Absolutely right choice. Always try a new, non chain eatery when traveling and this did not disappoint. A bit limited on menu, yet what is on is wonderful. Price is what was expected in a fantastic atmosphere.

After striking out at three places down the street, because they either required proof of vaccination cards (which was news to us) or the outdoor seating was a 90+ minute wait, we (5 guys) stumbled across this place which sat us immediately outside. We were skeptical as they weren’t full, but man am I glad we ended up here. The waitress, while managing the outdoor area of 10+ tables all to herself was clearly busy, she made sure we always had drinks and we didn’t wait longer than normal to order. She had a great attitude and was friendly too! The food though…so. Dang. Good. The frog legs are a must try. Juicy, tender, and great spice. Some of the best frog legs I’ve had since Louisiana. I had the shrimp and grits. It was soupier than traditional, but I didn’t mind because the flavor was outstanding. Garlicky, spicy, cheesy, and so much depth. The shrimp was well cooked and everything worked so well together. Am so glad we ended up stumbling into this place and not the other over hyped places down the street. Big recommendation from me.

Great food, excellent service…thank you, Amber! Shrimp po’boy and waffle fries…omg. Cajun buffalo wings…yes, please and thank you, so good. The hush puppies were so deeee-lish! Two things were just meh: firstly, the beignets…even though we got them hot and fresh, the dough was heavy and sadly flavorless. I wish they came with a sauce (maybe rasp?). I wouldn’t order those again. And secondly, the side salad…it was wilty spring mix with not so fresh tomatoes. It comes with pecans on top, don’t know if that is a cajun thing but it was odd to me. But the place was a fun surprise find. The menu was really impressive with lots of unique items you rarely see (gumbo, frogs legs). The location has a little bit of water view and a cozy feel. I liked it a lot!

The food is fabulous - our larger group all had different entrees and all of us were raving about choices. They have a wide array of options on their menu and I already can’t wait to go back to try more of it. Everything was so flavorful because they don’t shy away from using spices (there are plenty of non-spicy options). They even have vegan options for those with dietary restrictions.

Many of us had drinks off their cocktail menu and all of them were great too! I’d recommend the Cajun Rum Punch but the Hurricane and Bayou 75 were loved by others in the group.

I had a ceasar salad with grilled chicken. It was very good. I also split a bread pudding. It was the best ever! I've tried others but this was truly the best! Pic included, I took a bite first!

The staff were very accommodating, and everyone was very friendly. Portions were very substantial, and the gumbo was excellent. Fritters also a must have. We had to squeeze one more person in when we had only been sat at a table for two without knowing they were coming later, and the staff bend over backwards to make it happen for us. Very grateful.

Had dinner here and couldn't be happier. All the food was cooked great. The special pork chop was awesome. Hush puppies weren't burned or undercooked. All in all, I will definitely go again. Wait staff was on point, and the wait time for our food was very quick, but not so fast that we couldn't enjoy appetizers.
