Canyonlands Motor Inn Monticello

I usually won't stop at motels but in middle of the night we were desperate and gave it a chance based on the reviews. This place was great! Best showers I've had the whole week, plenty of warm water and good pressure. Clean room, really nice clerk.

This hotel was well worth the price. There was nothing fancy about it, but nothing wrong either. If you need a place to stay, consider here. I would stay here again. Actually its even better than expected.

We didn’t arrive until after midnight (storm + toddler) to find they were closed. There was a phone number clearly posted on the door to call for assistance. The gentleman that answered and came was SO helpful and got us checked in very quickly. Friendly and good value for price.

Rooms are clean and have all needed items, including TV, microwave and small fridge.
Cleanliness is also on a good level.
At the same time, prices are good as well, like for this area (near Arches and Canyonlands).
Motel is also close to gas station, grocery store and restaurant/bar.

For 100 or less compared to the other hotels in the area this hotel while dated and needs some work satisfies all the needs of a quiet, good nights rest. Yes it's a bit run down in some ways and not the latest. Internet was flawless and fast, ice machine worked, shower worked, plenty of hot water, beds comfortable. Ca'nt compare this location to a modern, newly built Holiday Inn. Thus the 5 stars as it's worth the nights price.

We needed a last minute room and of the 6 hotel/motels in this town, this was the only one with a manager willing to be accommodating with us. We paid $95 for a night, which is a lot for us but it was also the cheapest in town.
I only trust reviews if they're unanimous, and the thing that was, was that the manager was so kind. SO kind.
The room we stayed in was very clean and a decent size. They also provided ample soaps, towels, and washcloths. The fridge was a good size and there was a microwave & coffee maker too. The TV signal was good, and for anyone else who has travel anxiety about toilets, this one has a safe toilet LOL. They are pet friendly for a fee (call ahead) and offer smoking & non smoking rooms. If I ever pass through again, I will be staying here without a 2nd thought!

Comfy bed,fluffy pillows. Coffee pot makes 3 cups at once. Clean and good shower with thick towels. I would come back

Clean, affordable motel for a quick stop in Monticello before heading to Needles. Our bedroom & bathroom were simple and clean (no weird smells like I read in other motels’ reviews), bathrooms are heated and shower pressure was great. Only downside was it took a little bit of time for our room to heat up, but it got there! Would definitely recommend for a quick stay in transit through UT.

Fantastic customer service. The owner paul took an average hotel with very clean and spacious rooms, and a firm bed (which i love), and turned it into my best experience in a hotel that costs less than $200 a night. And in case you were wondering,a room with a king size bed is less than $75 with taxes (its a bit less, but prices change sometimes so i don't want to misdirect someone who's in need of a room). All in all, I would recommend this hotel to my mom. And that says a lot in my world.

This motel is a wonderful step back to the past. When was the last time you parked in front of your room, open the door and your car is 3 feet away. Clean, friendly staff, and a very nice motel.

Stopped for the night while working. Sandy at the front desk was amazing. It's the off season in a tourist town so business is really slow for them, and she was so excited just to have guests. :) When I got in my room it over exceeded my expectations. Everything was clean and looked very nice my only complaint would be that the pillows were a little to firm as was the bed. Other than that it is a cozy friendly affordable place to be. I will never stay in a different hotel in Monticello again I will always go back to Canyonlands !!!

Motel right on the main highway. Room has been recently remodeled and was in very good repair. Two positives compared to other motels in southern Utah were the strong Wi-Fi and the cable had many channels with a good quality. The bed was comfortable. The desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. Directed us to several local restaurants for the evening meal. Morning coffee not good.

Stopped in for a quick stay on my way to Colorado. Guest service was very nice and the rooms were nice and comfortable. Pricing wasn't bad at all! Would definitely swing by again!

Stay in a lot of hotels and this one is one of the nicer ones. It is an older property but quite obvious the owners take pride in the business. It is very well maintained, our room was spotless, everyone from front desk clerk at check in to the owner at checkout were extremely nice. Absolutely recommend to anyone needing a nice affordable place to recover from a long drive.

Great rate, clean room, quiet.

So clean! The heater worked well, the bed was comfortable also. Our room was not carpeted, and maybe that's why it felt clean. The floor was spotless. It is not easy to pull off. I was impressed.

We got in late like midnight on 07/15/17 they were a friendly staff and the rooms are all being updated. Our rooms beds were brand new and felt wonderful to sleep on. When we went to the office in the morning the lady on staff remembered him by first name which is a big plus in our books for very personalized customer service as we too are business owners. Highly recommended.

So if you're looking for a pass through town or a place near Arches National Park that won't price gauge, this is the place. I swear to God the bed was so comfortable that I slept for six hours and checked out because I thought it was the next day. Thankfully he thought it was as funny as I did, and let me check back in for no fees. Super clean and the guy working the desk seriously takes pride in his motel. Best deal in Utah.

Great little gem on the road to Moab. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Outstanding value and the owner/manager was very helpful and accommodating during our visit. Great little town of Monticello, Utah. Our second visit here. Market is right around the corner. Laid back atmosphere. If you're on your way to Moab, from the south, stay here instead, particularly if you don't like crowds. We'll definitely be back!!!
