Dr. Donald Brunk

Dr. Donald Brunk (lately of New Mexico), is a great physician and Interfaith should feel lucky to have him. Not only is he knowledgeable and kind, he is that rare combination in a doctor of one who has a sense of humor plus a good bedside manner. I am a difficult patient, having many combinations of illnesses that make me difficult to deal with at best. Dr Brunk has never made me feel like he is exasperated with my case and/or that he would prefer that I see anyone else. On the contrary, he is interested and expresses a desire to know more so that he may get to the bottom where no other doctor has been able to. Also, he has a wonderful nurse, Yulia, who is a genuine prize. She manages to keep him organized (which I would find virtually impossible to do), and always expresses happiness to see me. I feel very fortunate indeed, to have found such wonderful caretakers.

Dr. Brunk is a horrible person. The front desk people are okay, but this doctor has told my husband and my sister in law that they are obese and really made their body image worse than necessary. Completely unrelated to their visits, he told them they are fat and need to lose weight. My husband, who went in because he was throwing up blood, is no more than 220 pounds and 6 ft tall, has hated himself for a year because of this random unnecessary comment. He literally said "Why are you so fat?"
Then, as time went on and we found medication for my husband's blood puking problem, he randomly started lowering the doses without any communication until he was throwing up blood again, forcing us to see this mean doctor again. And also causing him to throw up blood for weeks without explaining why he messed with his medication. This is all after he ordered an endoscopy, they found nothing, and he told my husband he would need to tske this medication for the rest of is life to stop these symptoms. I can't believe people like Dr. Brunk are allowed to have a medical license.

This doctor is the worst person alive. Not only is he terrible doctor he is a horrible person. He should no be able to have a license to practice medicine or be able to work with the public. if I could give him -5 stars I would.
