We got to the Broken Oar Restaurant in Moab a little before closing, but their service was awesome. Shay was our server. She did a great job "with love." Everything was good. The tables were a little close, but the rest was good.

You have to try the sweet potato fries. Sprinkled with sea salt, dipped in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with caramel, and topped with lemon zest, it was a yummy treat.

I had the beast burger Broken Oar Style. Amazing. If you like burgers, I recommend giving it a try. I was grateful I tried it. It is really big too. I wish I had room for desert, but between the side salad that was nearly overflowing the plate and the Beast Burger, it was all that I could eat. The onion rings that came with the burger were very good too.

You might get to see Mater too.

I wanted to shout out the broken Oar on our recent Moab trip. My brothers and I went to the Easter Jeep safari and we ended up at the broken oar Saturday evening after a long trail ride.
The restaurant was busy but we sat down virtually right away- good timing. We had good service and great food. Everyone in our party loved their food and I would highly recommend the sweet potatoes. I personally at the Beast burger (broken oar style) cooked perfectly as I had requested.

If you’re in the area I highly recommend stopping in.

On a beautiful Spring afternoon, my best friend and I, along with our three energetic children, found ourselves adventuring through Moab Giants. Our journey took an unexpected and delightful turn when we stumbled upon The Broken Oar. Intrigued by its charm and novelty, neither of us having visited before, we decided to explore what culinary treasures awaited us.

Upon arrival, parking was a breeze, adding to our anticipation. The children’s excitement peaked at the sight of "Mater" from the beloved movie 'Cars,' proudly displayed in front of the restaurant, which made for an irresistible photo opportunity. With memories captured, we ventured inside, where, despite the bustling atmosphere, the welcoming staff swiftly escorted us to our seats. Our little enclave in the loft, complete with a long ample table, was perfect for our energetic kiddos.

The restaurant’s ambiance was immediately engaging and comfortable for us all, especially the kids. They were thrilled with their raspberry lemonades, coloring pages, and the warm interactions from every staff member who visited our table. Among them, our server Dakota stood out with her remarkable blend of friendliness, helpfulness, and accommodation, making our dining experience exceptional. Even I couldn’t resist sampling the raspberry lemonade, which struck a perfect chord between tart and sweet.

As for the meal, it was served with impressive timeliness, featuring flavors that seemed tailor-made for our post-adventure appetites. My burger was a savory delight, seasoned to perfection, while the sweet potato fries, a renowned specialty of The Broken Oar, offered a unique taste adventure with their zest seasoning and drizzle of maple syrup. The portion was so generous that I couldn’t manage to finish it. Remarkably, all three children relished their meals, a rare occurrence that spoke volumes about the quality of the food.

In conclusion, our impromptu visit to The Broken Oar transformed into a memorable outing, filling our afternoon with joy, delicious food, and the pleasure of excellent service, marking a perfect end to our day’s adventures in Moab.

From the second we pulled into parking lot, the atmosphere was awesome. The cheese curds and wings were great but the stars were the burger, chicken sandwich and chocolate cake. Each was perfectly cooked and absolutely palete pleasing.

Best Restaurant Ever, One Of My Favorite Restaurants. The Food Tasted Good, and the cheese curds are super delicious and cheesy, another reason why I love milk and cheese. and the Restaurant is actually 2 floors, I got to sit at the 2nd floor, and also, I got to see floor 1 through floor 2, I recommend this restaurant.

Great looking restaurant. Chicken Marsala and honey salmon were great. Sweet potato fries are a great appetizer. Waitress had like 15 tables to herself so service was incredibly slow.

FANTASTIC. The food was great, got there at opening and glad we did, because when we left it was a line out the doors. I had the Oar Burger 🍔 which came topped with Pastrami, Bacon,Onion,Pickle, and lettuce was amazing. The wife got the brisket sandwich, which she let me try, and that was great. The chocolate cake for dessert was crazy good. I hope we're in the area in the future. Being from Ohio, I'll be tasting that food all the way home 😋. Will come back !

Great meal here. Not a long wait. Friendly service. We sat upstairs. The sweet potato fries are indeed tasty. I had the burger with pastrami - lots of meat and very good. My son had the brisket nachos and enjoyed them. A solid choice for dining if in the area.

I read a review ahead of time & waited just a few minutes & sat outside. The reviewer raved about the sweet potato fries. I thought, I’ve had amazing sweet potato fries in the south. These were worth raving about. Even better than the fries however was Melena. What a delight & a pro. My burger & fries was $16, delicious. Homemade amaretto cheesecake, $10…just wow. There’s nothing broken about this place, it’s excellent. There’s love in the food.

So its a really popular spot, you’re gonna have to wait a minute. Well worth it. Joe was our server tonight. He was busy but attentive and had a moment to talk. We had the surf n turf, outlaw and marsalla all diff all great. Desert was limited as we sat late and they were busy but the chocolate tort was the bomb.

The reviews don’t lie—if anything go for the sweet potato fries. Drizzled with cinnamon sugar, salt, caramel, and lemon zest. You will not be disappointed. The Rubicon sandwich was delicious, but it was a lacking on meat. So if you get it, ask for extra. The other item not to pass up: the berry mascarpone cake. Absolute heaven. Lemonades are good, but beware the jalapeño cucumber—spicy, spicy, spicy. Service was exceptional.

Excellent restaurant, best in town. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The building is a fun log cabin. I have allergies, and the waitress was awesome about recommending dishes and substitutions. She brought my drink refill before I even asked. This will be my first stop next time I'm in Moab.

Pretty busy when I got there at 8p.m. on Saturday night. Waitress was attentive even tho she was scrambling. They were out of both the fish & chips and shrimp & chips so I ordered the Trout with asparagus and potatoes. I thought it might be to much but it was just enough for me. The lemon wedge that came with it added a nice flavor and was just enough.

For desert I had the lemon berry cake, it was awesome. Just the right mixture of both.

Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Make sure to order the Sweet potato fries!! So delicious. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich with onion rings and wife got the French dip both were great. Looking around at other plates on tables, I dont think you can go wrong with any dish here. Melina was awesome. Get here early or you will be waiting.

Man, if you're ever in Moab, Utah, put this place on your list! Fantastic food (I had the turkey pesto sandwich with their famous sweet potato fries), and it was worthy of a billboard ad! Go here!! Vinny, my server, was super pleasant, and the host staff was ever so gracious. I loved it! Mostly burgers, sandwiches, salads, French dip.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Broken Oar in Moab. The pulled pork burger with sweet potato fries (aka «Muscleman Burger») as well as the pastrami sandwich (aka «Rubicon Sandwich») and the boneless Buffalo Wings were wonderful. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We certainly return.

Fantastic place! We ordered take out and it was fabulous. Pork chops are very good! Sweet potato fries are amazing! They said 20minutes for the order to be ready and it was, even during the busy evening hour! Staff was very friendly! Excellent experience!

Make sure you get here around 5pm so you get in the list. We went on a Thursday at 5pm and it was already a 25minute wait and folks just kept coming . The food was pretty good, the only thing my family really liked was the Sweet potato fries and my only real gripe was the 16.00 cheese curds or lack of. Maybe 8.99 but 16.00 for what seems like not very many (see photo). The bbQ glaze sauce was yummy so make sure to try it.
Enjoy and tell em Rad sent ya.

It was a wonderful experience and hope one day we can come back. We are from Alabama and recommend this place to anyone who wants so great food and service.
