Kaiser Permanente Bellingham Pharmacy

Prompt, efficient, and open on a holiday! I haven’t had to call in or make an appointment for vaccines, but when it comes to prescriptions they have filled them quickly - whether in person or receiving it next day by mail.

Phone wait was about 9 minutes. Pharmacy tech was helpfull and knowledgeable. Processed refill request to my Dr. And confirmed my other prescription is set up for mail order. If the last 3 years have thought me anything, patience, understanding and grace is what EVERYONE needs. It cost nothing to be nice.

I’ve had my share of complicated issues with prescriptions and the staff here has always been friendly and quick to help whenever it is within their power.

They may not have certain medications because of THE ENTIRE WORLD being short handed, and the GLOBAL supply chain being strained, but the staff are professional, and the pharmacists are exceptionally knowledgeable and kind, if they don't have your medication or only have a finite amount, they always make sure you atleast get enough to get through the day or they give you options like getting an emergency one day fill at another pharmacy. If you want your medications filled EARLY, that won't happen because they follow the rules , unless you have your doctor's approval, which is how it should be (sometimes they will give you a 1-2 day grace period due to certain conditions / medications) . I am treated with the utmost respect anytime I come into this pharmacy. Most people leaving one star reviews are irritated because of things they (the pharmacy) literally can't control, wether it's a medication constraint / shortage or people trying to fill way to early. Personally I usually use mail order because of the pricing but every time I come in I'm greeted by the staff by a first name basis, it's honestly crazy to me that people give this pharmacy such a bad reputation... personal shoutout to the awesome pharmacist who knows my fiancé and I and always asks how each other are doing anytime either of us come in. 5/5 EDIT; also, people complaining about phone services don't understand that you don't get to just call the pharmacy, your routed to member services, your not waiting 5-30 mins for the exact pharmacy to answer, your waiting for a different office completely to answer.. likely because having a direct phone line would slow services down by A-LOT, causing more angry customers.

I have been to this pharmacy several times to fill prescriptions for my wife, mother, and me as well as to get both flu and shingles vaccinations. My experience has always been superb. The techs and pharmacists have always taken the time necessary for me to get the information I need and care about real world issues like affordability. This is not a large facility, however, they do offer curbside pick-up and have you take a number should you choose to go inside. I noticed that in the back they have an screen where they track how long it has taken them to serve customers (it is on the wall to the right behind the four service positions). Every time I have looked at that they appear to be keeping up with the traffic. I understand that when they first opened in 2020 the procedures had to get ironed out yet, now, they seem to work like a well oiled machine with a real personal touch. If you have Kaiser medical insurance it is sure nice to go to the source rather than negotiate between a 3rd party pharmacy and the insurer. Kudos!

I have been to the Kaiser pharmacy three times now, twice for myself and once for my husband. My experience each time has been positive. Even when busy, their system is efficient and they handle themselves in a kind and professional manner. I will admit, I was a long time Fred's customer and was initially dreading the change, but I have been nothing but impressed.

The pharmacy tech (Wally, I believe) was a HUGE help this visit with an urgent prescription refill that our physician had not yet called in. He made sure that we received an emergency fill for three days while we wait for our provider to place the refill order. Other visits to this pharmacy have not been as satisfactory in the past, but staff are always helpful and friendly—especially since many situations are beyond their control. Thank you!

Super friendly and helpful. It was our first time there. We showed up 10 minutes after our appointment and it was only a 5 minute wait to get the prescription. And we didn't have to fill out any paperwork because they have all the info already. Beautiful! (:

This is definitely a case of “only post a review if something Bad happened” syndrome, because I have been a Kaiser member for almost a decade and this pharmacy is like any other Kaiser pharmacy. The technicians and pharmacists are courteous, service is quick and the place is clean, with only enough seats to accommodate the 6 foot social distancing policy—which admittedly doesn’t leave a lot of room, but they’re doing their best. Every time I’ve gone in to pick up prescriptions that have already been ordered, I’ve been in and out in less than ten minutes.

However, the switch from a conventional pharmacy to Kaiser can be really jarring. It’s necessary because of their integrated healthcare model, but making the switch from conventional insurance can be a huge pain if you have to adjust your usua medical routine.
Definitely use the online services to order your prescriptions ahead of time, and get them delivered to your home if you can, which will make your experience a lot easier.

My experiences are with vaccinations. Although time consuming to schedule, the process was seamless and quick. The staff are very kind and helpful. The pharmacists are exceptional and knowledgeable.
My husband and I had flu shot appointments. We have a neiboghbor who is dependent on others for transportation. We live in the county. She came with us and they were able to accommodate her along with us at our appointment time. After checking in we were done and on the way home in 10 minutes.

The staff was super nice. The place was very clean. My expectations were low and I was pleasantly surprised.

The pharmacist John was incredibly helpful, cares a lot, and will go above and beyond to provide excellent service 👏 😀

the pharmacists here are very kind and helpful, the wait is never too long, and if you want to socially distance you can wait in your car right outside the front door 👍they also use a numbered ticket system so you never have to wait in a line 👌

I love this pharmacy and staff! They transfered my rx's for me on my 1st visit, gave me a flu shot (walk in) and still had me out the door in 30 minutes!!

I have never had a bad experience here. In the past I have had pharmacy's treat me very poorly, making me feel like a criminal
