I’ve come here for a few times for an Aveda scalp treatment with Edith. She does an amazing job of making this a true spa experience. Very relaxing, thorough, and massages the product in. My scalp has never felt better. She also is very knowledgeable about Aveda products. I will be back!

I was a few months past needing a trim, and my mother in law brought me here. I got a fun cut from Jordan, who is very skilled and knowledgeable, and was introduced to Aveda products, which I'll now use to style my hair! It's coarse and thick, so finding some good stuff was a relief.

I had the best experience at Sandalwood! I decided to take the big leap from dark brown to blonde and Justine did such a fantastic job, it looks so natural! She was kind, careful, professional, and my hair looks beautiful. She also took the time to help me pick out the right products and gave me advice on how to keep my newly blonde hair looking strong and vibrant. I highly recommend Justine and the Sandalwood salon to bring your hair dreams to life!

I have never written a review ever, but my experience at Sandalwood left me needing to tell everyone about it! During quarantine I destroyed my hair with bleach and box color and cuts and after two years of feeling super insecure about my damaged discolored hair, I wanted to start the journey to blonde. I have a consultation with Jordan where we talked about my goals and budget and hair history and made a plan that sounded great. At my appointment we discovered after some lightening my hair was unable to go lighter in that session. Jordan’s detailed care toward my hair’s integrity and my goal was unmatched. Throughout the whole appointment she was attentive and super kind. Since the appointment ran much longer than anticipated (considering my hair health brought some obstacles) she made great adjustments for me and went above and beyond with her work. After putting complete trust in her, I left extremely happy with my hair and an absolutely reasonable amount out of my bank account. Jordan was the most understanding, down-to-earth, talented, and amazing stylist I have ever had. Jordan and Sandalwood are definitely a stylist/salon for a lifetime!

I highly recommend Holly! She did a fantastic job cutting and styling my long curly hair. She was methodical and took the time to cut it right. I am thrilled with the results! She’s knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The salon is delightful and welcoming.

Highly recommend Justina! I’m probably a stylist’s worst nightmare because I’m indecisive and never know what I want. Justina listened to my hair story and gave me the perfect cut for how I like to style my hair. I’m so incredibly happy with the result and can’t thank J enough for listening and giving great tips for products and best hair care practices.

I had an amazing facial, eyebrow/face wax & eyelash lift from Caitlyn at Sandalwood. This facial, for lack of a better term, was transformative! I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated - not to mention, my skin was absolutely glowing afterwards. She has such a gift for being present with you during the service and made me feel so comfortable. My brows were on point, skin felt super nourished, and the eyelash lift my me feel so pretty & put together. I highly recommend Caitlyn for any esthetician services you might need and will be a continued client at Sandalwood Salon/Spa! Loved it!

I finally found my go-to hair salon in Bellingham. I really like the vibe in the place, which is a little bit boho and zen, but professional and competent. The staff is friendly and easy-going and Jordan did a great job on my hair, which still looked good after 3 days. It was a bit difficult to get an appointment. I guess I'm not the only one to really like this salon, but they came up with a bunch of suggestions to get me in. I made my next appointment before I left. The location is perfect for getting my hair done, then dinner and a show!

I came here after having a traumatic haircut experience in another local hair salon and OMG they are amazing. I've never been treated so well before and I had Justina who SAVED my hair!!!! She is so down-to-earth and extremely talented and genuinely cares about making sure you walk out happy. I can't wait to go back. :)

I visit Sandalwood to see Mikayla every month, and she is incredible. She's friendly and attentive, constantly improving her craft, and always listens very well. My hair never looks as good as when Mikayla does it. She is a hair wizard! The vibe in the salon is luxurious, but I've found the prices reasonable for how much love and time is spent on each client. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here with: 10/10, would recommend. ✨
UPDATE: I have also seen Caitlin for facials twice now and can attest to the quality of this service, too! She is so soothing in her nature and is clearly doing her life's work. The space is comfortable and private, and getting a facial has drastically changed my skin (bye cystic acne)! If you're on the fence, this is your sign: do it! 💓

Mikayla is a wonderful stylist; I can't say enough good things about her! She's had to deal with my scalp surgery issues for a year, and has done so with kindness and extreme patience, working with care around delicate areas. She is a hair color specialist, a true artist at the top of her game! I totally trust her suggestions! Deborah handles the front desk and phone with warmth and efficiency, making everyone feel at home. The whole staff is top-notch!

Overall great service here. When I first moved to Bellingham a few years ago I went with this salon because 1)They had a photo of a dog on their homepage (Chubs hangs out in salon!), and 2) It's near my house. I got VERY lucky being randomly assigned to Molly. Not only did I find it cool that she's also from WI, my home state, but she does a fantastic job. She listens and gives great suggestions. It's obvious she really cares about her work. She is detail oriented, takes her times, and double checks everything to make sure your hair is perfect before you leave. The Salon itself is great: clean, well decorated, inviting, and overall very welcoming staff.

High quality, positive attitudes and atmosphere!! If you’re looking for a great place to get your eyelashes done definitely see Kaitlin. She’s a sweetheart, takes her time and is very passionate about her work. It’s most definitely worth the pay (my lashes are poppin😉!!) this is hands down the best salon in town ♥
