Umpqua Bank

I worked with Carmen Denson to finance my last three houses and then refinance my current home. I recommend her too all of my family and friends. She and her team are hard working, flexible, and very knowledgeable. She worked with me to help with my VA Loans and helped my family with their traditional loans. Carmen is very nice and great to work with. I can not recommend her enough.

I visited this bank on recommendation from a friend when looking for a home loan. Nicole and Lena were both exceptionally informative and willing to help at a moments notice. Another bank ended up being able to beat their terms by a hair, which unfortunately in my case made the difference, but my experience with Umpqua and its employees was stellar. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone shopping for a loan.

This is a newer bank in Bellingham. I am involved with the business community in Bellingham and have had a chance to visit and interact with the folks that operate this branch. I am so impressed with their efforts, their friendliness. It is still imporant to me that people know who I am especially if they have my money. Amazing bank with amazing service.

Horrible customer service. Our mortgage was with them since 2017, at first service was fine, then after 2021 it went downhill. Payments misapplied (more than once), hour-long waits for rude and unhelpful customer service agents, online system that “cannot verify your information”. In 50 years of mortgage and banking, this is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. When they sold our loan to MrCooper in 2023, I was so relieved that I don’t have to deal with them anymore. Now if they would just send our 2023 tax documents (it’s February, still no sign of them) I can wash my hands of the whole incompetent mess.
