Stayed overnight for work and really enjoyed this hotel. It *is* an old building and the pipes clank a bit, but that’s part of the charm for me. The staff was super friendly and gave suggestions/recommendations. Restaurant is absolutely fantastic, and residents of the building (it’s also an apartment building) were friendly in common areas. Easy walk to a lot of bars and restaurants. I felt safe walking alone after dark (avoiding alleys etc). Slept with window open (it did get warm) and was amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was overnight. Would def return.

Stag was great. Very attentive and helpful. Hotel was like a vintage timepiece that brought us back to a simpler time, yet had all the modern amenities one could want.
Price was a little up there, but overall experience was enjoyable.
Location is fantastic, right in downtown and nearby a ton of of worthwhile visits (driving or walking)

We had a lovely three-night stay and enjoyed the accommodations at Hotel Leo. They provided a pack n play in our room for our baby, at our request. When we needed extra blankets, they brought them up to our room promptly. Overall it was perfectly pleasant and met all our expectations for a good hotel. The room felt clean, and the hotel overall had a cool historical vibe. Many businesses and activities were walkable from the downtown location, and parking was free.

What a wonderful find! I stayed at The Leo for 3 nights on a work trip. What a classic vintage gem. Beautiful common areas, the Amendment 21 bar is straight out of a golden-era Hollywood flick. My bed was super cozy, and my room spacious and Immaculate. Patrick was gracious and upgraded us to a suite with a kitchenette. 5 minute walk to some great spots in DT Bellingham. If I had to find a flaw it would be the bathroom is tighter than the modern standard, but the extra space elsewhere in the suite makes it more than manageable. Highly recommend! A cornerstone business in a revitalized downtown.

Is it an older building, yes. Does it make up for it with charm and service - many times, yes! Proximity to dining and shopping and theatres downtown cannot be beat. The Prohibition- era bar has great drinks and cheerful service. We come at least once a year, and we are always glad we do. This year I forgot an item, was promptly called, and the item is being sent to me for the postage cost only. This hotel is a lovely gem.

Employees were very friendly and helpful. The room had enough modern stuff to make it comfortable without losing the historic feel. Location is perfect for walking around downtown. We were very pleased with our stay.

Hotel Leo is the best. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and well updated, and the location is central to great restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops in downtown Bellingham. Not just dog friendly but welcoming. Hotel Bar/Restaurant Amendment 21 is also great spot for cocktails and bites. Leo is our first choice in Bellingham and offers everything you would want out of a stay.

Hotel Leo is such a cool hotel. The place has a beautiful atmosphere with all the old historical pieces. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie theater room and social lounge/library. The Prohibition bar wasn't open when we stayed, unfortunately, but we are stoked to have something new to try there on our next stay :)
The location is perfect for a little BHam trip! Tons of coffee, food, shops, bars, and the Pickford film center is also a 5 min walk away!

Excellent location. Within 3 blocks of shops, great restaurants, and bars. The trains are noisy at night, but they provide free earplugs, which tells you right away there must be noise. Not their fault. One hears trains throughout B’ham. A21 had live music, excellent service, and perfect cocktails.

Came in for drinks after a wedding. Got great service. The owner allowed us to take pictures. The workers were professional and attentive. This is the best spot for a quick getaway.

Stately historic hotel with expansive and well-equipped fitness center, convenient kitchenettes, spacious rooms, central - city location, beautiful lobby with an inviting piano (next time I'm playing it!), very friendly and helpful staff, and free parking. Perfect place for visiting Bellingham.

Brought my fiancé to the Unlock the Hotel Leo attraction and it was the best escape room experience we have ever been on by a very large margin. The staff is incredible and the escape room was planned out exceptionally. It was very easy to be immersed in the experience and our guide had a lot to do with that. We would stay at the hotel based on this experience alone! Try it!!

The front-desk staff are kind and accommodating, the bartender is very friendly, great staff and atmosphere. The Hotel LEO is located in the literal heart of Bellingham. Not only is this a historical hotel, it is also kept well and located up the street from GRUFF Brewing, Makeworth Coffee, Fiamma Burger, AB Crepes and many other Bellingham staples. Events take place in the city on a regular basis, and this is definitely the hotel you'll want to stay at during. There will also be LIVE performances here soon.

Amazing hotel!

We loved the building, the amenities were so cool, and the staff were all excellent (warm, welcoming, helpful).

I read that the train noise can be a problem but we were on the side nearest the tracks, with one whole side of our room windows, and you could barely hear it.

The beds were comfy, and it was awesome to have a mini kitchen and table! We had our own AC unit which was very nice during a very hot August, and the water pressure was great!

The neighbourhood was very cool, lots of walkable shops and restaurants. We had a delicious vegan cheesecake from a bakery right next door (It's the Sweet Things), there was a great vegan cafe and restaurant a block away (The Wild Oat), and we were able to walk to a very cool brewery with the best patio i've ever been on (Gruff Brewing)!

We can't wait to come back :)

The staff at Hotel Leo are personable and friendly, not to mention how attentive everyone is. The suites are bright and clean and you can’t beat having a French press in-room. Walking to the farmer’s market from the hotel on a crisp Saturday morning is a real bonus. TLDR; 10/10, would recommend.

Great location downtown and don't think I could ask for better service. So, close to so many great stores and restaurants. Loved the router that only belonged to a couple of rooms. Would like to see shower grout a little whiter.

It's refreshing when you arrive at a property and can tell the entire staff is proud of their hotel. So often you are just another person, at another chain hotel. The staff at the Leo made us feel like the most important guests there. The room was awesome, a historical building with modern touches, great master bath and comfy bed. The main lobby was full of history and the whole place is right in the heart of Downtown Bellingham. Steps away from restaurants and bars. A must if visiting for fun or a weekend getaway. Simply Awesome!
