A true gem. Great family run business. Would choose places like this all the time, getting harder to find. A must experience if you're planning to be in the area.

Got into town well after closing, and management went out of their way to see I got a room key without any card security... they went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Good people, good hearts.

I LOVE this place. Motorcycle friendly (if your a friendly motorcyclist), great owner who checked me in. Clean rooms, and a more than fair price ($63 for a non smoking Queen, when I was in town).

Restaurant is also great. Packed with great locals and regular, and my waitress couldn’t have been more than 15, and she was great! They also set me up with some vinyl gloves (hard to come by!) so I could do a little maintenance on my bike. Breakfast is great too. A-one, barnone!

We had breakfast at the restaurant. The meal was good, but the highlight was the excellent service by our waitress, Mashayla!

Very accommodating to our last minute reservation. Room was welcoming, very clean & recently updated. Including a mini fridge, microwave & tv with cable. They are currently working on updating all of the rooms, so please bear with them. The restaurant staff was friendly & the food was very good. There is a Dollar General store close by for any items you may have forgotten.

We stayed in the Buttonwood Motel during a friend’s wedding in the area. A little dated, but added to the charm. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfy and had a great internet signal. The restaurant had amazing food! We stopped for breakfast with friends in the morning before we headed home. Loved the decor! Food was very tasty!

Brooke is a first class CSR/Waitress who makes sure you get a fresh cup of coffee every time.

Great little motel that is very clean with daily house keeping. Granted the rooms are a little dated but everything is functional with no issues. Has a on site restaurant with very reasonable prices and large servings.

Rooms are clean, simple, and have a nice TV, internet, microwave and a refrigerator. Pet friendly, and nice staff. The restaurant has good food and good portions. Depending on the crowd, they may run out of the specials. Really enjoyed the local people at the restaurant too.

Very clean. New owners doing a lot of maintenance and hopefully getting the restaurant up and running soon. We'll be back.

I ate breakfast here a few times while working in the area. It seems like a local go to. It's kinda small and hidden behind a motel. Anyway, service was fast and friendly. Food was awesome. I highly recommend the Cajun sausage with your eats. Has a little heat to it. Great stuff...enjoy!

This is the best place to eat in town. You'll think the exact opposite when you drive up, and thats if you even notice where the door to the restaurant is. In fact your wife will probably get scared and tell you to take her somewhere else. Tell her that I said to ignore her (Hopefully she won't catch on to the fact that you're trusting a guy on the internet more than your own wife) Hands down, its the best place to eat. The food is better and you'll get it about 20min faster if you have a party of 4 (thats not an exaggeration, service in this town sucks). I have been in town for weeks on service calls and ate at every restaurant multiple times. The food is better here, the prices are better, and the service is better. I've had about half the items on the menu, and it was good every time.

You'll notice the breakfast items are served in 3 portions; trim, ample and hearty. First off, nobody who eats the trim portions on a regular basis is trim by any stretch of the imagination. If your wife is tiny like mine, shell order trim and she'll still be handing 75% over to the kids.

Don't be fooled by the fact that they are only a few dollars different like I was. I went for the hearty portion of biscuits and gravy, and as the waitress carried it to us we all leaned back in our chairs stunned. Stunned at the amount of food and stunned at her arm strength. She's like some kind of Amazonian wonder woman. The unanimous opinion of my co-workers was, "Are you retarded? There's no way you can eat all that and finish the day. You're going to need a nap! No really... if you fall asleep I'm telling the boss."

These lady's could make a fortune in a higher traffic area.

My wife was born in Emporium, PA. She had not been back since they buried her Father there at a family cemetery. Our visit was to bury her Mom next to her Father. It was my first time going there and the 4 day visit was too short. Our entire stay at Buttonwood was great. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice and clean and the staff was awesome. I can't wait to get back up there.

I have ordered from the Buttonwood often during the safe distancing but it sure was nice to meet with a few friends and enjoy a delicious meal. The service, food and atmosphere were all 5 star. The Friday Fish Fry is the best ever!!

Clean, pet friendly, quiet & peaceful in an extremely small quiet & peaceful small town deep in the country up in the mountains.

Cute little motel. Very clean and tidy. Older rooms but super clean. Allowed us to have our dogs for our overnight trip. The restaurant is very good. Highly recommend

For the money this is a great stay we stay here once as year we've learned to request a queen room after our first visit 5 years ago. Staff is super friendly and they have an awesome restaurant attached that serves a great breakfast each morning as well as lunch and dinner.
