My family, including our two grandchildren ate at Route 53 and LOVED it! The meals were delicious, reasonably priced and we had all we could eat and more! The service was excellent. The owner personally came over to talk with our family and see how we liked the meals. When she found out our 5 year old granddaughter loved strawberries, she gave us a large bowl of berries for her and her 2 year old sister to share. Then when she saw that our granddaughters had eaten all she gave them, she turned around and gave them some to take home. We had a lovely time and it brought back memories from when we lived in a small town and everyone knew everyone and people in business made an effort. We will be back!

They stopped as a restaurant but now do catering services . It's actually a nice place to rent out for events too

I only go to 53 for breakfast. The pancakes are huge. Getting the standard eggs bacon and homefries is a win.
