COACHMAN INN

Been wanting to go to this little Diamond for a while & finally got down there Sat 16th March with a few Girlfriends. This little Gem is 10* with the service they give you, rooms are Spotless, Comfy beds & Breakfast hits the spot, with good coffee. The staff go the whole Ten yards to make sure everything is good for you. I didn't travel far, just across the Border from Chilliwack & let me tell you, it was far enough away to enjoy Downtown Bellingham, can't wait to visit the end of June. Thank you

I appreciate budget experiences that are done well and this is a 5 star version of a 2 star hotel. Super clean and organized, really nice breakfast, great coffee. Very quiet.

Excellent property with very attentive owners. The same guy (owner/manager) was on duty literally every time I went into the office and was super friendly and attentive and did a great job ensuring breakfast was ready and helped with checking in and with facility questions.

Property is a hotel building broken into 3 or 4 sections so you'll always be about a 1-2 minute walk from the car. I didn't verify whether the property had an elevator but property management seemed super eager to help and would likely be willing to accommodate first floor requests.

Definitely would stay again.

Placed an online reservation for Motel 6 and they had no rooms available with heat....in Washington. Came to the Coachman down the road and received amazingly friendly service after stressful moment from previous place. Very welcoming and WARM room. Thank you for being available.

This hotel is a hidden gem - Newly updated rooms, comfortable beds and five star service from the family -owned staff.
Their parking lot is secure, and watched closely by the staff.
Mohinder and Harry, the owners and brothers, run the place and keep it spotless. Mohinder is the nicest man in Bellingham, and always helpful no matter what you need.
Be sure to not stay anywhere else - there is no better value for the money.

This hotel is in a convenient area right off I5 in an area full of restaurants and pretty close to Fairhaven. The hotel is extremely clean and the bed I had was great. The free breakfast had quite a few choices including pastries, boiled eggs, fruit, and good coffee.

Excellent property in this price range. My wife commented several times how clean the overall property and our room was. We had just come from Seattle where we spent twice as much and the room service was non existent. The Coachman Inn was immaculate - inside and out. The room service was great. The breakfast bar, while limited was also well kept and the bagels, fruit and juices, etc. were fresh. We did use the pool and while small and very near the entrance and the street was also well maintained and inviting. The only negative was that the furniture in our room was dated but in this price range I'm not expecting brand new furniture. We travelled from California to see our son in Bellingham and we would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the pool was heated and my daughter swam in it at night. The breakfast had a very nice selection with different milks, juices in bottles instead of a machine, refrigerated coffee creamer instead of packaged, pastries, fruit, and cereals. No hot savory foods but there were boiled eggs. On top of that the price was so affordable. If we're ever back here we will definitely stay here again.

Great value for the money. Very quiet, and close enough to downtown Bellingham. The owners were amazing, super nice, and, as someone already mentioned, so attentive. Will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good price. Came for Fall Family weekend, staying again when I return for graduation. Continental breakfast is comparable to a Best Western.

Super happy with our stay. The staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly. Would not take a tip for bringing our luggage to our rooms. The breakfast was better than most chain hotels., Room was clean and appointed well for the price. The neighborhood was quiet, lots of restaurants right across the street, including an Arboretum that you can walk around. The neighborhood was safe. Would stay again 100%.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Coachman Inn in Bellingham, WA. We have stayed at other places across the street when the Coachman Inn was sold out, but it was not the same experience.
In terms of similarity, the geographical convenience is the same as all the hotels on N. Samish Road. The differences with the Coachman Inn, however, are what make this simple place so unique.
For example: the rooms are very clean and welcoming; it is a very peaceful place; the buildings housing the rooms are well-secured; and the continental breakfast is well-balanced and healthy, served in a breakfast room that is not only clean and relaxing but also open with lots of light.
I feel like this is a worthwhile investment for the guest, at a very reasonable price.
The only point that I would invite the owner and staff to reflect on is the exercise room. The room has some basic equipment, as you might expect. However, I believe some minor improvements could be made to the performance of the machinery.

Get what you expect for a motel. However the continental breakfast spread was outstanding and the service of the front desk man was impeccable. He serviced that continental breakfast spread like a well oiled machine and seemed to always be smiling with a professional demeanour.

Didn’t know what I was getting with the price so low. Only needed one night to catch a plane the next morning. Got a phone call at noon the day of check in confirming we were still coming. Advised him yes.

Arrived just after 6pm and we were whisked through the check in process and given our room, 116. Walked in to a very well kept room for its age, and exceptionally clean. Beds were clean, room was airy once the drapes were opened, and no other guest noises were heard throughout the night despite it being fully booked.

Great place to stay, will stay here again.

I recently had another outstanding stay at the Coachman Inn Bellingham and it continues to impress me each time. This family-run hotel is an absolute gem and deserves five stars without a doubt.

The cleanliness of this place is exceptional. The rooms are immaculate, and the attention to detail is remarkable. They take great pride in maintaining a pristine environment. The outdoor pool, in particular, is a delight, spotlessly clean and well-maintained.

While the walls may be a bit thin due to the hotel's age, it did not significantly impact my overall experience. The cozy charm of this older establishment more than made up for it. The management and staff are genuinely welcoming, accommodating, and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

I have stayed at the Coachman Inn multiple times, and it consistently meets my expectations. I have never encountered any issues during my visits. The staff's professionalism and warmth add a personal touch that sets this place apart.

If you're looking for a family-friendly, clean, and comfortable hotel in Bellingham, I highly recommend the Coachman Inn. It's an excellent choice, and I will definitely be returning for future stays.

Everything about the place is clean not just the rooms but outside as well. Probably doesnt compare to a hotel that costs twice as much but you cant do better at this price point im 100% sure.

Not like they need any additional glowing reviews but what I enjoyed about staying here is being able to see a well run family owned business. The owner will be assisting guests while tending to the breakfast area. When he wasn’t doing that he was assisting with housekeeping. They have a well designed website that enables them to beat the Big chains at their own game. There maybe newer places to stay in Bellingham but you’re not going to find one that is better managed by a Family. And lastly it was a very good value with an above average breakfast included.

Everything was clean, inviting and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. The pool looked very inviting. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to use it. The continental breakfast was better than expected.
Everyone who we encountered was very friendly and helpful. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!
