Coming to Boondocks Firearms for a custom firearm, was an amazing experience for me. I had a slight idea of what I wanted done, but knew very little about all the opportunities there was to really create an exceptional firearm. John took the time to sit down with me and go over each and every part and explain the pros and cons of using higher end/lower end parts. Throughout my build, he kept me updated on where the process was and when I could expect the final product. After the firearm was completed, John explained all the ins and outs of the firearm to me and made sure I was satisfied. I have no complaints about Boondock Firearms and was completely satisfied with the final product.

Hands down best customer service you could ask for, had two guns built one totally from him and another completed with a few parts i had and the rest through John, I have zero complaints. Guns turned out amazing top quality pieces. Originally started out wanting a basic piece and ended up with a way better gun for the money i thought id spend on a basic big box store model. CANT BEAT IT. I highly suggest talking to John and letting him guide you to what he knows best. Will be getting all of my business

John built my first custom AR 15, it is definitely a work of art and tack driver. He's very knowledgeable about all firearms and you can't beat his service and flexible hours. Best prices around by far, I will continue to do business with him in the future. If you're kicking the idea around about having an AR built, he's your guy.

The owner, John, really knows his firearms. He has built several rifles for myself, family and friends and has always provided great customer service before, during, and after the sale. I would recommend Boondock Firearms to anyone, be it beginner or expert level. This has been the only place I have bought a firearm from in the last few years, and don't plan on changing that anytime soon.

I have purchased two firearms from John. He is beyond knowledgeable on firearms and can definitely help you with any question or concern. He has always been a trustworthy man. (I have know him for 20 year) He answers messages as soon as he can since this is not his full time job....yet. Very very competitive prices on anything a gun store would sell. Boondock Firearms is a one stop shop for any firearms needs. John is incredibly knowledgeable, has excellent prices and even better customer service. I have purchased probably 5-6 firearms from Boondock and every time is a quick, enjoyable experience. Anyone could easily purchase from big-name retailer either in person or online, however you won’t get the same personable experience as you will at Boondock. Personally, being military, I have access to firearms resources most others don’t have access to, but I continue to come back to Boondock. It’s a pretty impressive shop, especially for a one man show. Trust me, he won’t disappoint!

I started going to Boondock Firearms a few years ago when I was in the market for a bare bones AR. I had a number in my head of where I wanted to be price wise after looking at them at a few big “box stores”, but figured I’d give this small shop a chance as I love supporting local businesses. I was blown away. For the same price as the most basic AR platform the other stores carried, John built me a beautiful gun with a spiraled barrel, upgraded trigger, upgraded furniture, etc. John has taken such good care of everyone I’ve sent his way, including family and friends of mine. I have now purchased and built many firearms at his shop and will continue to do so anytime I’m in the market. I once had a gun jam while I was at the range and called him for some advice as to how to fix the issue..he could have not answered, he could’ve sent me a link, but he instead came over to the range, dropped all that he was doing, and made sure that my firearm was safe and working properly.. Your big box store will not do that.

It doesn’t matter if you are a gun expert or looking for your first gun, John makes you feel at ease and is truly passionate about making sure his customers are happy. Stop in! Boondocks Firearms is great to deal with. John is the most knowledgeable and experienced person that I have dealt with. With being a police department we need our Firearms to be on point at all times and John has always made sure of that. If you are a police department or an individual you will not find are better place than Boondock Firearms and John.

All I can say is what a guy. Boondock firearms is by far the best shop and JOHN is a blast to deal with he makes you feel at home no pressure and very very informative on any questions you might have. Have always had great experiences with Boondock Firearms. Transfers are cheap and John is very knowledgeable on all firearms platforms. Always helpful when scheduled my transfers and being available when needed. Highly recommend

Bought a pistol from John,and and three other guns online and shipped to him for transfer,no problems at all. John is a easy guy to work with, no fuss, no pressure. More like stoppin by to talk to gun buddy. No snooty old gun shop owner stuff, or mega store lack of knowlege. Two thumbs up five stars he is my go to guy. Oh he put night sites on a pistol for me also, hard to find good gunsmithing these days.

John installed a globe and tang peep sight on a flintlock. The sights required fabrication to fit properly even though they were the correct sights for the model. He took the time to make the adjustments for the components to fit properly. The end result was professional quality and he gets the work done in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

I’ve purchased several firearms off of John and I’ve always had a comfortable and relaxing time while I was there, after talking to him about some things I’d like to do gunsmith wise and telling him about my wishlist, I was told not a problem and to let him know what I was looking for. All in all a great time every time

Bought an AR pistol and had it sent to John. Took awhile because the site was a FUBAR! Anyway it arrived yesterday and I met John! Damn good dude!! Respectful, very knowledgeable, and straight up down to earth!! Recommend the best sight for it and it's awesome!!! He knows weapons and any attachments or modifications!! Awesome brother!!!

Took a custom made muzzleloader to John for him to fix in 2018. Hadn't been shot in over 30 years. Within a few weeks, he had repaired the custom-built firing mechanism by hand, and the muzzleloader was shooting dead-on at 100 yards. I'll be taking all of my gun business to John in the coming years.

We asked John build a custom rifle for our sons 18th birthday and going away present. The rifle exceeded our expectations and my son was very pleased with his new rifle. John added some special touches to the rifle. That's what makes Boondock one of kind!
