Bellefonte / State College KOA Holiday

Had a fantastic weekend of camping here. We had a patio site for the weekend and it was a wonderful set up for our family and nicer than the patio sites at some other KOAs we have been to. Bathrooms are better than anywhere we have stayed. The bathroom, changing area and shower are all in one room making it super user-friendly for mamas with little ones. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the planned activities, especially the ice cream social. Grounds are well maintained and the kids enjoyed using the badminton and volleyball areas as well. We have added this location to our favorites list and will definitely book again.

Perfectly located to state college/PSU. Sites are large, clean and easily accessible to major highways. We use a premium site and love the Weber grill, patio, furniture, swing, rocking chairs and more. There’s clean bathhouses and so many activities. Jumping pad, bike trail and pool plus tractor rides are just some of the fun. Even the store has some cute souvenirs and food necessities if you forgot something. Kasey, the new owner, is great. You can’t go wrong at KOA Bellefonte/State College.

Highly recommend! Clean, well maintained and the staff were friendly and courteous. My children loved the pool and play areas. For me it was the private family bathroom. Large clean space and the water temperature/pressure was perfect after a longs day travel. Thank you!

Very nice campground! Nice store, bounce pillow, pool, bathrooms. Loved absolutely everything about it, except that I felt the sites were on the small side. But I'm still giving this campground a 5 star because it was just that nice! They also have really nice sites with patios that I think would be worth the extra money. Highly recommend, already have our next trip booked there.

Great KOA in the country outside Bellefote! Scenery surrounding the area was very nice. We stayed in the new section, which was large enough for our truck and fifth wheel. Landscaping was well kept. Recommend this place highly.

Highly recommend bringing your friends or family! The entire place is so clean and friendly. Anyone who had a bad experience usually didn’t read or respect the rules the campground enforces. The owners hands on, professional and quick to fix any issues!

Extremely clean, peaceful, spacious sites, friendly staff, individual bathrooms each with toilet, sink, and shower. There’s a big, really nice pavilion area next to the pool and overlooking the bike park that can be rented out. Some of the camper sites had cement pads, really nice tables/chairs, block fire pits, and swings.

We don’t have little kids but the nice size playground that looks new and the bike park looks awesome.

We had an amazing experience at this KOA. The staff were super friendly and responsive. We were having trouble with our site’s electric and they sent someone out to check it right away. I have never seen nicer bathrooms at a campground. They were updated, completely private, and always clean. Overall the campground is very well maintained and I would absolutely stay again! It’s perfect for football weekends if you’re not looking to spend hundreds on a hotel room.

(From Summer 2022): I have nothing but great things to say about this KOA. We have been camping here for about 5 years and we will continue to return each year. They do an excellent job of offering fun activities throughout the summer weekends. If I can make a request, Bingo should be a permanent fixture!! My family usually stays in deluxe cabins, which are clean and beautiful, and there is plenty of space for our extended family to join us for meals and hanging out. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the private bath/shower combos are luxurious. When we stayed in the cabins without bathrooms, it felt was so nice to be able to use these private bathrooms to get kids showered and dressed for bed. The campsite itself is wonderful as well. The pool is clean, with a fun splash pad for younger kids. The pavilion is huge, and we safely sheltered there one year during a massive rainstorm. The jumping pillow is great and newly replaced (2022), the mining sleuth keeps my kids occupied for a while, they have a new and upgraded playground (2022), and their new bike course was tons of fun. I have never had a bad experience, and because I have been to several KOAs (and researched many more), I can confidently say that the Bellefonte location seems to have more amenities than many others. Every year seems to get better and better. We always stay on a summer weekend, and there are several activities on Saturdays, including a giant bubble machine, tie dying, painting, building rockets, etc. Most activities are fun for kids and adults alike. Unlike some KOA campgrounds, evenings are pretty quiet, and it seems like most people respect the need for peace and quiet early in the morning and at night. Their country store is also great and well-stocked. Slushy machines were recently added in the store, and although they were ridiculously overpriced, it was fun to splurge on slushies or an iced coffee on a blisteringly hot day. The staff have always been great too. Highly recommended!!!

Really enjoy this KOA campground. New bike park is amazing for the kids. We stayed in a cabin this time. Very nice. Clean. AC, heat, bathroom and shower. Site k9 if you look it up. The view from my swing chair on the porch of the cabin!

Very clean common areas. Great bike track and updated playgrounds. No swingsets, however. Some sites are pretty tight together, but they offer deluxe sites for a little extra. Staff was friendly and had events for kids/familes over the weekend. Conveniently located close to major highways and State College area events.

This is, BY FAR, the BEST KOA that we’ve stayed at during the past 7 years of traveling the country in our Class A motorhome. Starting with the friendly staff, the clean and updated facilities, to the endless activities for children. Conveniently located 1+ mile off of I-80. Wish we were staying longer, but the road calls!

Outstanding. We had a patio site with TREES. It had a beautiful new Trex like square table with 4 chairs AND 2 gliders of that same composite material. They even have a gas grill there for you to use and we did use it It worked flawlessly. We didn't use the firepit but there was one with a solid metal cover. They had great amenities for kids which not having kids we can only comment from afar. It was quiet at night. We could pick our site not like the KOA we are at tonight .... baking in the sun. Many tv channels came in clearly. I have no complaints, just compliments. Kudos

We stay at the Bellefonte/State College KOA every year and each year we are beyond pleased with our stay. Like every other year we've stayed, the cabins are perfect, the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean, and the pool is always nice and the perfect temp. My daughter enjoyed the slime-making and we both ALWAYS love the tie-dying. The food truck was great. And the KOA staff was extremely kind as always.

Wonderful campground! Great location - close to Penn State and to I-80 & I-99. Campground, facilities, staff, amenities (pool, pavilion, jump pad, bike park) are all 5 stars. Definitely recommend.
While we were there with out travel trailer, all reports are that the cabins are very nice too.

Very nice campground our Grand kids really enjoy it. The upgrades they have made are great, the larger jumping pillow, the bike park is amazing and also a new playground. Even though the campground was full (Penn State blue and white game) it was still quiet and clean. It's always kept up so nice. We have stayed here several times and will be returning in the near future.

We use just tent site, but was amazing. Staff, amenities, facilities, they have jumping playground, swimming pool, basketball court, bike and roller playground... everything was amazing. The camp is also very cool, you feel in the middle of the bush. Restrooms and showers look brand new. They have also webber bbq. Wi-fi works perfect.

Probably one of the cleaner and better maintained KOAs we have been in. Looks like they have some really great activities for kids. We have a 45' Class A towing a jeep wrangler. Takes an experienced driver to get into your lot. Luckily the lot behind us was empty so I was able to pull thru that lot into ours

We loved this campground. The bathrooms are clean and roomy. Rather than having shower stalls and toilet stalls, each bathroom is separate with a shower, sink, and toilet.
Our tent site was nice. The only downfall is that after the campers settle for the night you can hear highway traffic but not enough to keep us awake.
The tent site backed to trees but there are not trees between the sites with electric.

Very clean and organized campground! We will be back here! Stayed for a long weekend and kids had a blast! Negatives for us were the sites were small for the bigger campers and the playground near us needs upgraded. Other than that a very nice campground! Staff is Great! We don't feel like we are constantly being watched here by the staff.
