Unity Care NW - Bellingham

Big shout out to Nurse Practitioner Nancy Fong. Absolutely amazing experience. Very kind, EXCELLENT bed side manner, compassionate and observant. I felt nervous sharing my concerns after not being in a Drs office for a very long time. I felt heard, I felt seen and I felt respected. Very knowledgeable. I honestly almost cried with relief after I left. Just can't say enough good things about this experience. Hands down, best medical interaction I've ever had!!!!

A big shout out to Julia Covert for her outstanding help in finding me insurance. I was very impressed with her knowledge, and tenacity at her work. It was not a simple task, and she made me feel comfortable, and stress-free. Unity Care is fortunate to have her as a teammember.

Love this clinic- most everyone has been wonderful and I’ve felt safe to speak up if I haven’t felt heard or whatever has come up. 😊

This place is good for quick visit but you need an appointment. Staff and doctors are really nice

Dr. Krissa is absolutely incredible. I had a filling fixed 3 times and for some reason it just wasn’t right, she fixed it on her first try and it’s already 1,000 times better! She took every second to check in during my visit and had so much enthusiasm and kindness while working! She will forever be the gal I go to for dental work!!

I have seen several different providers in different specialties now and have never been treated with anything but the utmost respect and sincere care. I have never been rushed. I have never been sent away until they are sure I have had all of my questions and concerns addressed and understood. They also have sliding scale fees and take Medicare and Medicaid.

I've gone to unity care my whole life. I now take my baby there. They are extremely pleasant and helpful with my baby. They made sure to have us both seen at the same time because I was due for my checkup around the same time he had his first visit. He had a great first visit and they made sure to send us away with everything we needed to take care of ourselves.

Met Tami at a local hiring fair and was very impressed with her professionalism and the quality of administration at Unity Care NW. Had a great interaction overall and will absolutely recommend my friends/family in healthcare to apply!

Today, I had the absolute BEST dental experience of my life. I have fallen behind on dental care for years now, and where I would usually be faced with shame and judgment, none of that was present. I have never been happier leaving a dentists appointment.

It was a wonderful experience. I felt like a team of people were taking care of me. Every one of them were kind and patient. My new PC kept me on track and explained how we would proceed. She listened to me. I'm so thankful for them all.
11/117/22 I hate to do a 180 but the facts are the facts. Unity has failed my family of 2 too many times since last post. My husband had an ear infection, 2nd one, he called for appointment while our PCP was out of town. They scheduled him 9 days out and said they would put him on a cancelation call list. They never called and his ear drum perforated. When he showed up for appointment they refused to see him because he had 2 symptoms on their covid no see list. Low grade fever and body aches, both symptoms of ear infection. They scheduled him 4 days out at their respiratory clinic. They said "if you need to be seen sooner go to an urgent care clinic". Not someone prone to crying he cried on way home. At respiratory care clinic they voiced frustration at him not being seen at Unity Care NW clinic and did not test for covid. They did best to care for ear infection and took care of other stuff he needed. They helped him. He had to wait more days to be seen by Bellingham ENT who then did exactly what needed to be done as always. I meanwhile was sick and called for appointment with PCP who was still unavailable. I was offered an appointment with another doctor. I told my PCP's nurse I had no faith in that route. She told me i had to understand America was short on Healthcare workers. Lame, unempathetic answer. I asked for a sooner appointment than I had scheduled and got a week sooner appointment. It was over a week out. I was sick. She then just hung up. I have also changed pharmacies from Unity Care NW pharmacy as they changed instructions on more than one medication, didn't fill refill from their automated refill system, told me they didn't have a prescription on file and they did and didn't bother to call me, didn't deliver a medication I needed because I didn't know their system and the lady in charge didn't explain/help me understand it. Most recent I had a high calcium level. I thought I had wierd flu symptoms. My PCP passed on I needed to go to the emergency room. I was very anxious about that. Her nurse, same nurse, said they would not see me if I had the flu and to go to the ER. She was irritated with my questions and finally said another nurse would call me and hung up. To be clear my PCP, Lareina Alberton ANPR ? is still exceptional but has NO back up fron the UNITY Care NW team. Some of the other ancillary departments have been very good also. Hope this helps.

The staff are very friendly. The offices are clean and very comfortable. Free WiFi. The providers are also friendly and very knowledgeable. They are always within 10 minuets of your appointment time. Can’t say enough good things about all the services they offer here. Very convenient to also have a lab and pharmacy on site, as well as a full behavioral health clinic. Check this place out if you are looking for a good clinic

This place is less than 10 minutes away from my home. Everyone working there is very courteous and attentive to my needs. I am very blessed to be receiving care from Unity Care. Even amidst Covid, their excellence in providing for their patients has not dwindled. If you need medical care, they are great at it.

Very great place. They don't pull teeth unless they really need to be pulled. Work fast and really care about you. Aren't on their smartphones all day. I would recommend this to anyone. If you haven't seen a dentist in a few years, I would suggest this place.

Even though I am relocating an hour away, it is worth the travel to stay at Unity. I love the doctors and staff, and the facility is always clean and organized. It is also very convenient to have the pharmacy and blood lab right next door. The staff at the pharmacy are also very kind and customer friendly.
It seems like they are always working to improve their services.

I've been a medical patient for many, many years and have always had good experiences with the medical staff and doctors. Very thorough and thoughtful. Now I'm honored to be employed at Unity and can confirm that a lot of thought and care go into providing an excellent patient experience!

Parking wasn't great, but care was much better than I expected. I visited Dr. Lien, who prefers to be called "Casey". He is an excellent family medicine doctor who is well-versed on the latest nutritional science. Smart guy, very friendly and caring, good listener. Highly recommended.
