Holly's Meat Pies

Happened to be in the shopping center on our way to a hike and picked up 2 of the veggie pasties to take as a mid hike snack. Absolutely delicious. We will be stopping by to try all the other flavors and pick up snacks for our hikes from now on. So much flavor.

Attended Holly's new building open house...what gorgeous kitchen and lovely sales area...grab some to go frozen or ready to eat. I am always on the lookout for her monthly unique special.

We have been eating Holly's meat pies for many years. They're a great fast dinner when pressed for time, or just lazy. We usually get a dozen at a time which lasts us 4 months or so. (I ration them!) Highly recommend!

The three stars for "atmosphere" is just because there is no in-store eating area. You can get a to-go pie heated up, though. Odd that Google only allows me to recommend "All the vegetarian pasties." Everything is good!

Been here three times so far, and going back again today, for vegan pies. Glad to see not only one vegan option but two choices; including one mild and one spicy. Perfect for my wife and I. While the price for the size of the item is a little high it's not out of line with current food prices. Hopefully in the future we will see a bit of a drop--$14 for a small business hand-made pot pie is about $4.00, at least, higher than I expected. The two times we came here we bought 4 and 6 frozen vegan pies. Service is quick and staff are very friendly. We've not had to wait longer than 5 seconds for one or even two staff to ask what I wanted to order. From ordering to walking out to the car is 1 to 3 minutes; maybe. The entryway, floor and shopping area/glass is clean even with the doors open. For anyone needing a quick main dish or side dish this is a great option.

TIP: They serve hot pies at the store, in addition to frozen pies for cooking at home.

AMAZING vegan and vegetarian hand pies! I've never been a fan of "hand pies" / pasties because IMO the crusts tend to be hard and dry. But because GTG offers vegan ones, we gave them a try. We ordered all the vegan ones as well as all the vegetarian ones. Theirs are SO DIFFERENT and WONDERFUL! The crusts are substantial enough to hold in the fillings and truly be hold-able while eating, but they are also crumbly and they don't suck the moisture from your mouth like most hand pie crusts do. The fillings are moist but not drippy, and the level of herbs/spices is very good.

Depending on your preference for desserts, you might or might not like the apple and cherry turnovers. We tried only the cherry one so far. It wasn't highly sweet and also not super juicy/gummy. We're going to give the apple a try in our next order. We probably won't order the cherry one again because we prefer a little more "thick juice" with the fruit. The pecan bar was a 5 out of 5 and the brownie bar was a 4.

Here's a tip that you might find useful. Before eating, I thawed the pies in the fridge overnight. For 2 pies, I microwaved them for a few minutes to warm the fillings, then baked them for about 20 minutes to crisp up the crust without burning them. For a single pie I do the microwaving step, then pop it into the air fryer for about 10 minutes.

I highly recommend giving GTG a try!

Unfortunately, there's no place to sit and enjoy your pie, and there's a limited number of pies that can be heated and eaten right away. The pies are frozen, so you can bake them whenever you're ready for a delicious hot pie from your own oven.

Finally had an opportunity to try Holly's Meat Pies today and decided to go with the Vegan Veggie Pasty. It was so tasty that I didn't even stop to get a proper photo for this review. Service was fast and friendly and the pie came out piping hot. To my surprise there was a serving of each of the sauces that they sell, and they were both absolutely delicious! It is safe to say that for a shop with meat in the name that they make some spectacular vegan food. The crust was flavorful and flaky and the filling was fantastic. I look forward to going back and will be recommending to friends.

Incredible! We had the beef and the lamb pasty. The filling is hearty and flavorful but what really impressed me was how much moisture stayed in the filling without soaking into the crust or bursting out when we baked it. The crust was very tasty and baked perfectly.

In short I can not recommend these pies enough. Made with love and masterful technique.

Delicious. Tried most everything. Zero dislikes. They make for a yummy quick meal. The desserts are outstanding as well. Brownie bar is my favorite. Pork empanada, chicken pot pie, lentil, spinach feta ~ mmmm

Savory, flaky, and delicious pies! I ordered the meat pie and chicken pot pie. This was my first experience here, and I am already planning another trip. They were both delicious, possibly the best chicken pot pie I’ve had. I ate all of the meat pie and half of my friends chicken pie :) Going back for more and can’t wait to try the deserts!

It is difficult to overstate how good Holly’s meat pies are. The pastry is tender and flaky. The fillings are generous and well seasoned. Get a bunch, take ‘em home, and bake ‘em for a real treat!

As my first travel to USA as an European citizen (from Sweden), I was very lucky to have chicken and lamb pies at Holly's!! Very nice treatment by the seller, soo delicious pies, excellent packing with all you need so that you could easily with no hand touching have the pies, warm meal, delicious sauce!! This made my first visit to USA a very NICE memory:) My husband and I have wrote down the address to go back to Holly's again any time we visit USA:) Unbelievably Best Pie I ever Had in my entire Life!! I STRONGLY recommend ANYONE to have pie at Holly's!! Thank you the young LADY (who I unfortunately don't know your name) for your soo nice welcoming and amazing delicious pies:) If I had the possibility to give more Stars, I would give millions stars to You!! You made my first USA visit a very lovely memory:) 😍 love ❤

A group of us were on the Downtown Holiday Wine Walk this eve and my husband’s request was to get some meat pies from Holly’s Meat pies! We got 4 pies including lamb, pork empanada, chicken pot pie, and vegan veggie. We had taste tests of all 4 and none of us could decide which one we liked the best! (We loved them all!)
We now have plans to include these meat pies in a taste test at our home with friends!
PS…as we were walking back to our car when finishing up the evening, we ran into Holly as she was closing up and we wanted to let her know how much we enjoyed our meat pies…she sent us home with some pies!!! Now how amazing is that?

Great new location with much parking! I used to pickup pies in Everson. Now they are right here. Mmmmmmm can't wait for the fall pies.

Absolutely delicious! We tried a breakfast one, the classic chicken pot pie, and the pecan bars. The breakfast one was a bit sausage heavy but I loved it! The chicken pot pie was incredible! I've never had such a crispy, flaky perfect crust!
We also happened to meet the owner when we picked our order up and she was so nice!
Can't wait to go back to try more!

finally got a chance to visit! I was warmly greeted at their takeout window which has a variety of greatest-hits items available (I think the expanded menu is for take home?) and happily ordered a Beef Meat Pie that was about the size and shape of a calzone. The pastry is flaky and flavorful and the filling was hearty and nicely seasoned. A sauce is included for dipping that brought out some extra beefiness. Overall was pleased and will look forward to returning to Holly's to try the chicken pot pie!

Great little place! Very happy they had a vegan option, I am from England and it's hard to find a good pasty, Holly's did not disappoint. The BBQ and Ketchup that go with the pasty were very tasty! Had to stop myself from going back and buying another. Will be back next time I'm in Bellingham!

I buy around 10 pasties at a time and have delicious meals to fall back on!

Holly makes the best pies in town. Absolutely delicious flavors, perfectly flakey crust and a huge variety to choose from. I’m partial to the chicken pot pie right now, but can’t wait to try them all! Can’t recommend these more highly!
