The Forest Nook Restaurant

Really cute place in the woods with delicious food. We went on a very rainy Saturday evening. The hostess greeted us and asked if we had reservations (we did not) however it didn't seem to be a problem, she quickly went and got a table ready on the porch. The hot pepper cheese balls were a great appetizer. Really good chicken salad 🤤 We enjoyed our meal outside (even in a hard rain), the porch was perfect! We have a camp nearby and will ABSOLUTELY be returning soon and often!

Hands down the best chicken Parmesan I’ve ever eaten! Also the chef was nice enough to substitute pasta for fries, a lot of places won’t, so that goes a long way, they have such a beautiful atmosphere, relaxing and peaceful. A definite must!

Beautiful, cute little cafe style restaurant deep in the woods of Cook Forest! Our waitress was amazing and so sweet, and our food was delicious and obviously homemade/fresh. Can’t wait to go back again! Also they have a very cute little store next to the restaurant!

Quaint outdoor setting with upscale appeal. The food was amazing with detail to both flavor and presentation. This is a nice place to take your spouse on a date or to meet friends for food in the middle of the Forest. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I had a great experience dining at Forest Nook. Staff was friendly and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. I had the roast beef sandwich and he had the Caesar Salad with mahi -mahi and both entrees were delicious! I ordered the key lime pie to go and to my surprise there was a personal note on the to-go container from our server. I had run the Cook Forest 25k earlier today and she took time to acknowledge that accomplishment. Great customer service and we would definitely come back!

Wonderful place to eat. Friendly staff and delicious food. Very popular so if you plan to go there, reservations are recommended. They make a homemade Chicken Alfredo that is beyond delicious.

This is a wonderful spot! We have been looking for a go to place for when we visit Cook Forest and we finally found it. Great food and service. They really take care of the place and it shows! The young waitress we had in the pink shirt was perfect. She was attentive and knowledgeable. All in all we loved the experience and will be back soon. If you are in the area stop in and grab a bite, you won't regret it!

Best lil Nook in the Forest, BY FAR!! Food was amazing, atmosphere is gorgeous, staff is friendly and service is too notch! Highly recommend coming on a Friday for the fish fry, crab cakes or one of their many specials. Make a reservation tho, especially for larger parties!! 5/5 stars once again…

Recently went to Cook's Forest for a girls weekend. We tried The Forest Nook for dinner the first night and had such a great experience - delicious homemade food, wonderful service and a great atmosphere - that we were back for lunch the next two days!!! Thank you to all the staff for helping make our weekend!

What a special place in the woods!! We had the special, pan fried fish!! Delicious!! Quaint and cozy atmosphere...highly recommend!!

Who would have thought in the middle of PA!!
Totally worth the detour, coolest little place, and food way above what I thought I would find anywhere in this area; would hold its own in Pittsburgh or Philly any day. I travel a lot everywhere, and this is staying on the "definitely always stop at" List! Sooo Yummy!! 😋

The open air setting was great and bug free despite being outside, and everyone's food was great, especially the mozzarella sticks. It was also wonderful that it was pet friendly for the outdoor seating and we were able to take our bird out to her first restaurant!

Stopped in on Thursday night after a long day. They were closing very soon so we said we wouldn't make them stay. Everyone was INSISTENT that we stay and not feel bad! Every single person was so kind, friendly and welcoming! The service was so fast, the food was absolutely fantastic and everything was super clean! We loved the atmosphere and the little gift shop. We will definitely be back!!

Gorgeous restaurant! So glad we stopped, everyone was super friendly! Service was great, food was lovely! I had the Turkey rachel which was great, also bought two really cute mugs from their store! Definitely well worth the stop!

We went to the restaurant for lunch. Seating is mainly outside and it was a beautiful day. We asked the waiter for suggestions on appetizers. He suggested the stuffed mushrooms - and they were great. I had a "Rachel" sandwich - similar to a turkey reuben and fresh cut fries. The fries were the best fresh cut I have ever had - including In-N-Out. We had peach cobbler to share as a dessert. Again, one of the best fruit cobblers I have tasted in some time. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is great and the service was fantastic.

Beautiful, Cute, Cozy Restaurant. Friendly Staff. Food was very delicious. Would recommend the hot pepper cheese balls as an appetizer👌Restaurant was decorated very nicely and they even had a cute gift shop off to the side of the Restaurant filled with cute hand painted unique gifts. Would highly recommend this place. My favorite place to eat so far while in Cook Forest 😁
