I recently used Bank of the Pacific for my home mortgage and I just wanted to say that Mike Gish was an amazing individual to work with during this experience. He was knowledgeable, communicative, and accessible through the process and even afterwards. Having been my first home buying experience, I had tons of questions during this process and Mike would respond during the evenings or even on weekends. It was really easy to get Mike on the phone. I rarely found myself having to leave voicemails. Overall, I would absolutely use Mike again in my next home buying experience.

I cant thank this bank enough. They have been amazing to work with on several mortgage deals with my family and friends. When other banks like WECU have been fussy about financing, these guys have taken over and eliminated all issues. I send all of my mortgage financing referrals to lending agent, Christy Sorenson. She is always fantastic to work with. She has worked over weekends to move things along faster and lock in the best rates. My family and I couldn't be more grateful.

Unlike the branch downtown, and everything in Gray's Harbor, this branch is very kind, very helpful, courteous, respectful, and didn't try to start an argument with me when I made a request that falls under "basic job description" for a bank employee. None of what comes next is about the manager of this branch. Other managers, regional managers, and who ever the dingus is above regional manager who tried to play military historian then got upset at a customer who was a veteran for correcting him, can really learn alot from them at this location. Specially in regards to basic tasks like updating an address. 3 managers; 2 regional argued with me over why I wanted my information updated. They updated AFTER my information got stolen. Then, the manager above them (Dingus) defended them, and argued with me about that.

I might be rude, but at least I know the difference between a mistake and blatant negligence. So let's break it down Mr. Military Expert.

When a bank makes mistakes, might have no consequence. When it turns into negligence? It stops customers from actively being able to access their account, or their info gets stolen. Guess what 2 things happened to me? Difficulty accessing account and my info got stolen.

In the military when people make mistakes, there's a chance people can be seriously injured or die. When it turns into negligence? The "chance" turns into certainty, and everyone is held accountable in some capacity. Maybe stick to being a bank teller instead of a military historian, let alone a manager.

How dare you for even attempting to lecture me about professionalism, when you're not even capable of defining it Dingus. From your mouth you've known about my Continuous problems for "some time" and chose to do nothing about it except letting it escalate. All blame for this firmly rests on your shoulders. Don't get my disrespect twisted bud, you earned it. You allowed them to chase a customer off, then got upset at the customer for it. They complained about me, because I was complaining about their job performance, because you refuse to hold them accountable and give them "complete discretion" in these matters. 5 years I tried to hold them accountable when you refused. want to discuss proper management? Why wasn't my account ever updated so I could properly access it without calling or going into a branch? Why was I argued with by managers when requesting that my information be updated? Why would I be forced to call Hoquiam when i live much closer to other branches? Why couldn't these branches help? Why would they have to contact Hoquiam when I'm physically standing in front of them asking them to update my information? Why should an employee have to ask a customer what they expect when the answer clearly is "your job"?

So, what should the conversation be? That I got mad and yelled? Or that you've done nothing but defend not only their actions, or lack of, but yours to the point where youre lying about, and disrespecting not only the United States military but veterans over your own incompetency?

What are you gonna do? Close my bank account after I literally just told you that I planned on closing the account due to nothing but issues over 5 years, but needed time to make arrangements?

OH! THATS RIGHT! That's exactly what you did. That's professionalism for you. Get mad at someone who is upset with you and trying to leave, because you're refusing to do your job, and intentionally trying to screw them over for it. That's you Dingus. You ask what I expect from you? I said it before. Do your job. An impossible task I came to realize, but that's what I expect. You want to talk about professionalism? I expected that from you 5 years ago.

Thanks for 15 years of ok banking, and 5 of complete and utter negligence and disrespect from specifically the Managers at Bank of the Pacific. It truly means alot, and shows exactly why 2 branches were closed in 2018. It's management. They do nothing but enable and defend everything I just explained, well before I got mad and started yelling.

I love this Branch! We've been with Bank of the Pacific for a lot of years and started banking at the Hannegan Branch when it opened. Great people here always waiting to help. Easy to get in and out of, good parking and a friendly staff.

I changed over to this bank/branch from WECU because they are only a mile from where I moved to. I love WECU so BOTP had a lot to live up to - and they have! Great staff and service - would highly recommend.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Inattentive, hostile to small business, non-responsive....not a fit for any small business of any stripe, shade or variety. I actually had to battle to have the ability to
deposit a check over $5k via their application. Perhaps our representative was exceptionally bad, but it's a reflection of the values and mission of the larger organization. ZERO out of 10.
7/5 Update: Our representative has been trying to get us to issue DETAILED financial information to get us the ability to deposit checks over $5k (which is patently ridiculous on it's face). He apparently doesn't know that we actually fixed that months ago. He's completely inattentive and clueless about what our business even does, much less who our customer base has been.
