Whatcom County Library System - South Whatcom Library

We love this library. They were wonderful when we moved here during COVID and they have helped my children to love the library the way I did when I was growing up. They're never too busy to help the kids use the catalogue or put things on hold. We couldn't be happier with our library.

Love this library. The staff has come and gone over the years, with some librarians friendlier than others, but the current group is fantastic. They know our family by name and are willing to patiently listen to my kids asking for some specific topic and then they find the perfect book. They've also set up a table at the front that feels very much like a bookstore that you can browse and grab from if you don't have a specific book in mind. I wish there were more kid-oriented events, but they ones they do have are great.

Great little library. They have a broad selection of books available and get deliveries daily so you can request a book that they don't have. The librarian is very helpful and friendly as well.

We love visiting this library. It's a bit of a drive for us, but always worth it. The space is cozy, the people are friendly, and the selection of books and movies is great! The gorgeous garden outside and the fun summer activities are a huge bonus.
