Sumas Mountain Lodge

I've stayed there a number of times. Nice restaurant and sports bar and restaurant. I did experience something odd very late at night. The sound of furniture slamming against the wall. I thought it was the room next door or someone cleaning in the hallway. Just before opening the door to look outside the noise stopped. Happened twice in the same night. In the morning I shared my experience with the front desk. And she shared stories that others had experience. Is this place haunted? You would have to stay the night and see.

I feel the need to post a review, even though we have 1 more night in the lodge. We are traveling with our 5 year old son. We brought his sleeping bag, just in case, not knowing exactly what the sleeping situation is in our room. We made up a bed on the floor for him with pillows, blankets and his sleeping bag for the first night. He was completely fine with it. We left our room for the day. When we came back in the evening, the hotel staff had brought in a small mattress, all made up and put his sleeping bag on it. We could have had him on the bed, he just kicks a lot. I thought that was such a kind gesture. I highly recommend Sumas Mountain Lodge to anyone traveling to the area. Also, Bob's Burgers and Brew is amazing as well.

Such a cute place!! Everything was super clean, the bed was comfortable, the jetted tub was so nice to have in the room. There was also a cute balcony with a little view. Bob's Restaurant had delicious food and great service. We will definitely be going back.

I got stuck with a border system outage trying to import into Canada. Had to spend the night last minute and Sumas lodge helped me out! Very accommodating with parking and friendly service. Beds are very comfortable. Would highly recommend. Thanks again.

This was truly my best experience staying in a lodge. The room was spacious, well stocked with toiletry, and clean. The best part was that we booked a room with an amazing Jacuzzi that was inside the room! It was such a remedy to all the hikes we did in Mt Baker. We will definitely come back again!

The rooms are amazing, the Canadian border is visible from the parking lot, and there's a bobs burger downstairs, it's a great place to stay, only thing I didn't like was the fact that the front desk is inside the restaurant so if you need to check out early the doors are locked and you have to just toss the room key under the door, but there are no signs saying that, would be nice if there was a lock box with a sign to drop the room key in when checking out early

My gf and I always stay here whenever we go to Mt Baker and we love it! Very cabiny, cozy, rooms with comfy beds and balconies. Our favorite part is the large jacuzzi tubs in some rooms that are perfect for sore muscles after a day of skiing. The restaurant/bar below it is great too! Can't recommend enough.

We had a great stay this past weekend! My husband especially loved the log cabin feel & the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed our 3 nights! We arrived after hours our first night & the staff was happy to make arrangements for us. Very pleasant to work with!

Just as a heads up, there are no elevators & I believe all the rooms are on the 2nd floor. We stayed in the twin sisters room & there was a mini fridge & Keurig machine, stocked with coffee pods and creamers. The room met all of our expectations! Perhaps, bring an extension cord if you have electronics to plug in. However, we made it work with what was available!

My son's mum got denied entry into canada. While i was in canada, they took care of her and depsite changing rooms never even bother with checking and check out and kept her accommodated. They were emotionally supportive of my woman while she was in tears deprived from her 3 yr old son who may i add just missed his bday by abt 4 days and had a belated birthday planned. The service is 10 out of 5 stars for me as i wasnt able to be beside her and they did the best i can ask for. The rooms are awesome and well kept.
I not only recommend this place in hard times and rejection but i also plan to have my anniversary getaway from my kids to that location. Their service and rooms are worth the border crossing.

My wife, daughter and I had a marvelous stay there on Sept. 28th. It's an old hotel but maintained spotlessly, the beds very comfortable and the sheets were luxurious as found in any 4 or 5 star hotel we have stayed at. We very much enjoyed both the dinner and the way we were treated by all the staff. A tremendous value for our money. Highly recommended. After a very busy day photographing Mount Baker is was an absolute delightful stay for us.

The jacuzzi was much bigger than expected and bed was so comfortable. This is a lodge so you don't really have staff in your business and I love that. Room felt very private and cozy. We will definitely be back.

Cozy. Close to everything. Burger restaurant downstairs. Bathtub with HOT TUB JETS in the room. $89!!!! This place was an incredible value for us during our vacation to Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Park. HIGHLY reco for anyone traveling thru or looking to sleep on a comfy bed (instead of a campground) in the area. Perfect for our needs, and loved the town of Sumas.

Stayed here with my son in April 2017 just before we crossed the border into Canada. Our destination was Bella Coola, BC. Room was clean and comfortable. Had a good meal in the restaurant there as well. There is an observation room on top with Windows on 3 sides. Great way to start our annual adventure trip.

In town for a geocaching event in Abbotsford. Room was awesome and I really like the balcony. The staff was phenomenal and made our stay wonderful.

Despite recent hardships in the area, they were still able to provide a wonderful stay and experience. Fully regret not being able to eat some of the items on the menu. Beautiful place, highly recommend!

We stayed in room 2 .. and wow was more then we expected.. loved it .. loved the cabin feel and even ate at bobs was fast and fantastic. Will stay again

Cute little lodge above Bob's. Nice large jetted tub and cabin themed rooms. Good prices as well.

We have family in sumas and we only stay here. It adds a touch of relaxation to our visit. The Jacuzzi tuns are amazing. Rooms are Very nice. Beds are great.

An awesome place to go, complete with jacuzzi and extra large rooms.
