Great park that has a long history behind it. Sad story of what happened there but the park is clean and well maintained

Amazing historical site!! The kids loved the playground and the history lesson. So did the adults!

It is important to remember the one child, Archie McCulloh, who survived this massacre, though, like the other children and their teacher, without his scalp! The Indian boys who performed this horrible massacre were severely chastised by their elders when they returned to their camp near present day Pittsburgh with the scalps of all these children!

What a beautiful park! There is a walking trail, 3 monuments/markers that explain the history behind the massacre of the school teacher and children, a tiny playground, and large pavilion/bbq area. Shaded with bathrooms.
