WellSpan Family Medicine - Philadelphia Avenue

I recently started seeing Dr. Malorie Zimardo at this practice because my PCP retired. I had been with him for 30+ years. And I felt I needed to leave a review. I didn't know lightning could strike twice but it did. I would highly recommend her. She is very thorough and when it's your health you need someone like that. I was worried about losing my PCP after all that time but she has definitely put me at ease. And, so far everyone I have interacted with at this practice is very nice.

Dr. Sandhu is very good. He spends time with you and reviews everything with you. The office is busy, so sometimes a feel like the appointments get a bit clunky, but overall, a good practice.

GREAT service from front desk, lab and many members of the medical team who provided excellent treatment, referrals and follow up care. I have been a patient here for several years and appreciate their commitment to my healthcare needs.

Dr Melody is the best she takes her time and listens too you I'm still ticking

Our doctors have always seemed to have our health and happiness in the best interest. They're friendly as well!

Very knowledgeable doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Flack and he is a very good doc and informative. I would love to see him again since I live closer now, but was told no longer accepting new patients. However, was told by a friend who goes there that there is a sign in the window that says accepting new patients.

I saw Michelle Adams today...She was nice until my appt was interrupted not once but twice from one of her co-workers...I was in the middle of a sentence when she walked out of the room. I thought that was very rude to do. Especially when I pay out of pocket ...I don't have the luxury of having health insurance. It made me feel like she did not care about me at all and was just there because she was being paid to. Needless to say by the time the appt was over, I was not in a good mood! Versus the mood I was in when I got there.

Switched from Dan to seeing Lana. I felt that my concerns were dismissed several times. Lauren, the LPN is sweet and caring. Lana is a wonderful doctor and has helped to address my concerns. The front staff is sub-par, Stefani lacks friendliness and is rather rude.

Frustrating.

Billing / Coding is ridiculous 2 yrs in a row same issue. They end up later charging you for a Specialist visit instead of an Office visit These were scheduled appointments 1 year in advance, for regular routine check-up. These appointments were with a CRNP NOT a Doctor
Multiple communications with Well Span billing & Insurance Company, last year it was figured out & corrected, this year, nope have to pay the extra co-pay $ to see the
CRNP (specialist ?) rather than the actual
Family Doctor, for the routine check-up.

I would not recommend Dr. Flack to anyone. He pushed off all of my concerns with my son that in fact needed addressed. He also referred me to a different specialist after i requested a certain place and i had to continue to push for that place until he finally sent a referral. My son was born with a rear disease and he gave me incorrect information multiple times nor did he seem interested in doing any research to learn and care for his disease. I feel that if a doctor is not comfortable working with an issue or doesn’t have interest in doing the research that is needed then they should let you know so you can find someone who is willing to. After my first visit at a new office all of my concerns were addressed and come to find out things Dr. Flack told me not to worry about were things that should have been cared for.

This is a typical experience for me but I go through the motions hoping maybe this time I’ll get lucky and get to actually see my family doctor. So I placed a call today to get an appointment for a tooth infection so I could receive a prescription for Amoxicillin at 8:01am, was on hold until 8:34am just to be told there are no appointments available until next week and I should just go to an urgent care. Save yourself time and effort just go ahead straight to an urgent care if you need a doctors appointment, that’s at least the usual routine with this office.

Worst doctors office EVER , can never get an appointment when needed ( thought that’s what family dr was for) you have to play their little game of calling At 7 am for an appointment btw you still won’t get one! My son is really sick and the best they could do is tell me “ take him to urgent care” . In my opinion urgent care is for individuals that need medical Attention and to keep hospitals less chaotic. All I can say is my children and I will be getting a new doctor asap !

My most recent occurrence with this office was to request seeing Dr or to be referred to a specialist. I was to receive a call back. It has now been 5 days and no call yet. Previously they called me to reschedule my appts. Once they said they left a message to reschedule, then the robot system called to confirm. I show up and no Dr is available. They constantly use their computer system as their excuse.

Awful at responding to urgent calls. Hard to see a dr. They have went down hill significantly in the past few years since merging with summit and then wellspan. The staff truly doesn’t show much concern. It’s a shame. We barely go and when we do we dread it. I’m debating on finding a new practice to take my family to.
