Elsbury Jo MD

Jo has been our doctor for the past 7-8 months at Moscow Family Medicine. I love her personality, and her sense of humor. She always answers very thoroughly any questions or concerns that we have. We have never left unsatisfied.

Was not at all pleased last time I went in to see Dr. Elsbury. I have had constant panic attacks for a long time, and was wanting a full physical to make sure that everything was physically okay. I went into the appointment thinking I was going to get just that. NOPE, sat in the office with a panic attack she didn't check me once for anything just told me to go home and schedule blood work at another time. I will be finding a new primary care doctor in the future, and seeing someone that specializes in mental health and anxiety.

Dr. Elsbury performed a colposcopy on me in Sept of 2014. It was excruciatingly painful. She kept the speculum in me for at least 30 minutes stretched wide open. For a week after I felt like I had just given birth, it hurt to sit down. I couldn't stop myself from crying while she took my biopsy and scraped my cervix. She used massive amounts of iodine and Monsel's solution after she butchered my cervix. When It was all done her and her staff didn't even offer me a pad. When I asked for a pad she gave me a panty liner and said that was all I would need. Unfortunately by the time a got home my undies and pants were ruined from iodine stains. I bleed heavily for an entire week after the procedure. Two days after the procedure I shed a giant clump of something when I examined it closer It unfolded into a 3 x3 inch square of what i couldn't tell if it was paper left in me during the procedure or if it was a layer of skin?! I cramped for a week. I would never allow her to touch my cervix ever again. In October I had the procedure repeated my an OBGYN with no pain, cramping, bleeding and without overuse of topical medication. When I told my friend this story she told me that she would have warned me if she knew it was Dr. Elsbury, because when she checked my friends cervix during her pregnancy she made her bleed, when none of the other DR's ever made her bleed.

I was escorted into an exam room at 4:35. The nurse took my stats and said a doctor would be in shortly. AT 5:10. I stepped out of the exam room and found an employee who was getting ready to leave. She told me an emergency had come in and I would just have to wait.

I felt I was treated rudely since no one could be bothered to tell me the wait would be longer than expected. I waited another 10 minutes in the exam room and still no one bothered to show up. I walked out to the reception area and stated that I still had not been seen by a physician and left.

I will not be returning to this clinic for future care.

I would leave no stars if I could. I saw Elsbury worried about my thyroid disorder. My main concern was my energy level and depression. Out of nowhere she starts suggesting I join weight watchers!!! I'm 15 pounds heavier than normal but that was not what I wanted her to help me with. I never felt so brushed off and unheard by a doctor.

I just read Elsbury's reviews and couldn't agree more. She was just very strange and no help at all. I was there for fatigue. She said all she could do is start reducing my thyroid medication!

Uncaring. Doctors and staff. The whole practice is bad. Believe me or find out for yourself.
