Spero's House of BBQ

I’m so glad we stopped at Spero’s today! I tried the pulled pork sandwich and the homemade potato salad. My son had a bbq burger and my daughter tried the pulled pork too! The meat was tender and had great flavor. The service was friendly and fast and I loved talking to the owner about her business. We pass through Malad 2-3 times a year and I’m sad we haven’t stopped before! We’ll be back to try the ribs and bread pudding. Thanks for the great meal!

This is definitely a must stop off if you're anywhere near or passing by Malad idaho. Casual dining at its best. The Smokers out front are definitely a call for great barbecue. There is a Greek influence with stuffed grape leaves and baklava on the menu that should not be passed up. Natalie knows how to do this upright!

We stop here every weekend on the way out to the ranch. I always get the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on it. My husband gets the chicken sandwich. The meat, bread, and homemade sauce are always good. The truckers special is good if you want leftovers. It's fun to sit on the benches in the summer, but it has no indoor seating. Get lots of napkins if you are going to eat in the truck because it is juicy. Very nice owners! They are only open on the weekends, check the hours.

Not on a bun which was surprising but very good bread. Husband ordered Pulled Pork sandwich and really liked their tangy sauce on the side. I ordered Southern Pork sandwich, topped with coleslaw, which was very messy and good. Drinks are canned with a good selection but didn't notice if they were diet or not. Parking lot isn't huge but seems adequate so we weren't expecting the variety and amount of seating behind the restaurant. Very good food and very good outdoor seating arrangement.

Went here to try something new. I'm not disappointed I went, but I think I should have gone a little earlier in the day. It's a nice little restaurant with outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and happy to serve. You order and pick up at the window. The food came out super quick and is really reasonably priced! You won't break the bank eating here. I ordered the 1/4 rack of Ribs with chicken legs served with baked beans, rice, and bread. Everything was good. The chicken legs were juicy and flavorful. The ribs.... some of them were a little dry but still really good. This is why I mentioned I should have maybe gone there earlier. I like the idea of having the seating outdoors, but there were a lot of flies buzzing around. That was the only annoyance. I think they should put something on the tables to attract them away from the customers. Part from that, great first experience! I would eat here again. K!

Ate here today very spur of the moment ideas. Let’s just say I am glad I did the bbq sauce is really good and food cooked perfectly! Beans were very good and the baklava was the perfect desert! Thank you!

Some things just mean to happen. Out of nowhere, not scheduled at all, we made a stop just across the street... The moment I saw the name on the sign (Speros... a greek name) I decided I got to try! And I am glad I did. Amazing food. I got the truckers special which has pretty much all the different BBQ stuff you might want. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket... all delicious and in reasonable prices ($18)! I am only sorry that the owner has left a while before we arrived so I did not have the chance to say hello... Maybe next time......

Delicious and mouthwatering food. Buttermilk pie was out of this world and I'm in love. A little non-traditional getting our drinks from ice chests outside but price was right and options were plentiful. I will be dreaming about this one until I can return.

One of the best little stop thru BBQ's that I have been to in a long while the outdoor style venue was amazing picnic tables and amazing flower garden all over gives you a sense of summer time cookouts. The food was to die for five words, FALL OF THE BONE RIBS something I haven't seen in a eatery since I was down south last. A sauce that I wish was bottled. Can't wait to swing thru again. Also I want to build one of their smokers 😁

Truly and Idaho gem!! Fantastic Barbecue and relaxing atmosphere. We went in the evening as the sun was setting. If you are in the area you do not want to miss this!

Stopped whilst driving from Salt Lake to Jackson. Go for the Pulled Pork and coleslaw sandwich you won’t regret it. Awesome great value friendly stop just off Interstate 15

Down home really amazing, fall off the bone tender, Barbecue! I HIGHLY recommend Spero's. Portions are huge prices are great.

Fantastic food & service. We time our traveling to be able to stop here, since days opened are limited. It's that good. Especially yummy are the pastrami sandwich & Hawaiian pork sandwich. But everything is delicious. We usually take out & get back on the road. When we have stopped, eating is outside on picnic tables, so atmosphere rating is kind of not applicable. Highly recommend.

Food was really good, I got the tri-tip plate, minus the green peppers, and beans, garlic bread, rice, and a drink. Loads if food, and fresh smoked on his cookers out front. I would definitely come back and recommend this to anyone hungry near Malad City, Idaho.

Excellent BBQ joint with lots of personality! Pulled pork was great and atmosphere is a very nice country side setting. Good place to hang out and enjoy some BBQ.

Very cool bbq roadside spot. The grills look awesome and the meat is tender. All the seating is outside and you are served in take away packaging. The food is simple and great! Amazing find on a road trip!

Pastrami, Korean pork sandwich, and baklava were all stellar. Perfectly cooked and super delicious. The food was well priced and came out quickly. Spero and his staff are very kind. The dining is all outdoors in a beautiful garden and very comfortable. Absolutely worth your time to stop and enjoy.

Loved this BBQ place “Spero’s” in Malad Idaho. Everything made fresh right there. Very friendly owners. Would definitely stop again.
