Talbot's Taproom & Terrace

This was our first time here, I’ve heard people rave about this restaurant and finally got to visit and they didn’t disappoint. We sat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait for a table and the bartender was awesome and provided us with an endless night of humor and banter. Our food was top tier and the dessert was just phenomenal. We will definitely be visiting frequently 😊

Talbot's is one of our absolute favorite places! We travel an hour and 40 minutes! That's how amazing it is! Excellent ride from Ohio on the motorcycle too! Pics from today's visit. Brie appetizer, "Do Something Outrageous" (sliced brisket over fried green tomatoes and sweet potato mousse) and "Cod Imperial". OH SO GOOD!

Came here with a group of friends to try the place out after hearing such good things. Honestly can say I wasn't disappointed food was good, service was fast & friendly. Definitely would recommend stopping in if your in the area or making the trip to enjoy the place yourself.

Bridget B was amazing. Even though she had a full section, always made sure our drinks were full and didn't need anything.

Ordered the 36 oz ribeye and cooked perfectly. Came with French fries and side of your choice. Choose the jalapeño creamed corn, and you won't be disappointed.

Baby Back Ribs, full rack, sauced just right. White cheddar cheese mac and Yukon gold potatoes are great accompaniments.

Top it off with the "Here's looking at you" drink and Maker's mark Manhattan, and your dining experience will be out of this world.

Best cake & crab dip I've ever had. 1st time here for my birthday but definitely not my last. It's like the chef read my mind making the menu.

We are from the Youngstown/Warren area of Ohio, but took a snowy, sometimes white-out, drive yesterday. It was out to and around Lake Wilhelm and through the Maurice K. Goddard State Park. After that we were looking to grab a late lunch early dinner. Our daughter and her husband had been to Talbot's and highly recommended we go there since we were to be in the area. It definitely stood up to the recommendation.

We arrived at about 3 PM on Saturday and the lot was full. We did learn that they take reservations. A table for 2 was to have a 30 minute wait. It ended up only to be 20 minutes.

Getting one thing out of the way, my only disappointment was the water. I drink water everywhere I go. I guess I found out that I don't like Mercer, PA water. The only way Talbot's could rectify that is to have some high end water treatment system. Even with that, the rating is still 5 stars.

Our waitress was Frankie and she did an outstanding job. We started with an appetizer of the Crab Dip with Baby Naan Bread. Naan bread is a type of flat bread and this was lightly toasted. WoW. It was absolutely delicious.

I had the 14 oz Ribeye with Alfredo Gnocchi, pickled onions and a side salad. The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium just as I requested. Mmm Mmm good.

My wife had the Cod Imperial which was broiled cod with jumbo lump crab mixture on top and garlic green beans. She also had a side salad. She was very satisfied with her meal.

The decor was definitely different. Very unique. You can get a flavor for it by looking at the pictures I posted with this review.

Delicious food. Awesome service. Clean facility. Reasonable pricing. What more could you ask for?

If you are looking for lunch or dinner, this is absolutely worth the drive. You need to check it out. We will most definitely be back.

Went here last night and had an awesome time. We showed up at about 8pm on a sat and waited for about 35 minutes for a table, and then sat on the patio which was set up with some cold weather heaters in an enclosed tent type set up. Inside was a very interesting sasquatch inspired decor which made me laugh! It was not loud at all and my partner and I were easily able to hold a conversation. We started with the weekly special scallop appetizer which was a bacon crumble sprinkled on top of a scallop on a thin slice of beet and a thin slice of zucchini sitting on a pea puree with a balsamic reduction on top. There was a lot going on with this dish and it tasted great! Then we got the cod imperial and the poke bowl they offer on their main menu. The cod was fantastic with the crab salad served on top of it. The sides were ok, they needed more salt and pepper and the garlic beans did not have much garlic flavor to them. The candied carrots were also needing more seasoning as well. The poke bowl was amazing. All of the ingredients really blend well together and the fish tastes fresh, absolutely great dish. Also, the beer selection is very nice and they offer a wide range!

The hour drive from Erie PA was well worth it. The food was amazing. My wife and I enjoyed every bite. The service was incredible, too. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cool and casual. The paintings were a sweet bonus. Can't wait for our next visit!

Delicious food. Amazing wait staff, and a fun atmosphere. Always great music playing over the speakers. I can't wait to see the improvements to the property!

We went there for my father in laws birthday and I had to have the bone in rib-eye. It was delicious. The jus was delicious and the steak was tender. Everyone loved their meal. Extremely great value and great food. Don’t miss the mac and cheese, it’s incredible!

When you go to Talbot's Taproom & Terrace, you don't just get a meal....you have an experience. Talbot greeted us, as he often does, in between bussing tables and helping his waitstaff any way he can. The food is amazing! The combinations of flavors they come up with are often mind-blowing. They definitely think outside of the box, and it always works. The atmosphere is fun and funky with quirky art that I could look at for hours. The outside is a whole other adventure with a fire pit, outdoor games, a gorgeous patio, and random big foot sightings. There's just no place like it. 100% recommend!!

I was finally able to get here. And let me tell you this place most certainly did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing. Our servers did a great job. And I cannot recommend this place enough. Cannot wait to go back again.

Honestly, the best food in the area. The chef is amazingly creative with the specials and they are one of a kind dishes and flavor combinations found nowhere else. The appetizer, entree, and drinks were well planned and executed. Also has a great atmosphere. No complaints and will be frequently visiting!

Mother of God. If you’ve never been here, add it to your list of things to do if you’re looking for an incredible meal. I’m always on the hunt for an awesome steak. This go round, we had to try the 36oz bone in rib-eye and it exceeded any expectations I had. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the espresso rub added a surprising layer of flavor that wasn’t overpowering in the least and the compound butter added yet another layer. I would rate it far and above anything else I’ve had in quite some time. The entire menu looked amazing and is the reason we keep coming back.

Eclectic, welcoming space. Art-filled walls are a treat to look at. Excellent service and food during our visit, with a top-notch local craft beer selection. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great restaurant, we live about an hour away and have made the trip 3 times since we heard about it in a little over a year each time with a party of 6-8 each time.Everything was great all 3 times!! Great specials and base menu, great desserts, super cool atmosphere, great service. Can't wait to go back.

Great time today. Glad we stopped. Everyone is so friendly, sat on the patio with our dog. Food was fantastic! Poke bowl was the winner at the table but the fried chicken sandwich and alright alright alright bowl was so yummy too.

Had one of the best meals I've eaten in quite some time at Talbot's. The crab cakes served are actually full of lump crab meat, not breading and fillers like most inland restaurants. I am from Maryland and know what to expect with a good crab cake. The sandwich my husband ordered had him taking home leftovers! So good.! We loved the ambiance of the outdoor seating on a crisp fall day with the heaters on. The view of the woods is nice and the outdoor hangout area behind the restaurant was very well kept. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and even catered to our short time frame of availability for lunch. Everything was out perfectly on time, we had a very attentive waitress, and we were full by the end! It was a great overall experience.

Talbot's is always absolutely amazing. Easily the best restaurant in Western PA. Fine dining meals in a chill, relaxed, family friendly environment. Every dish is heavenly! The service is always excellent and the staff is friendly, patient and helpful. No matter how busy, every server has treated us as their only customer! There is a dish to fit every taste and every budget. There is a beautiful terrace area and a fun garden area with plenty of yard games and room to play as a family or just relax a bit. Well worth the over an hour drive for us! If you haven't been, go now!!!

Great experience. Great drink selection and excellent food. The service was on point as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have many options for a variety of needs.
