Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant

The food is good, I haven't had anything bad or gross. Looks clean and well maintained. In person, people are nice, sometimes over the phone they are not. But 👍 for the most part.

Since we live fairly close, my family and I go here at least a few times a month, and hands down they definitely have the best Chinese food around!! no matter who works upfront the day you order, they will make sure you were happy with what you ordered. And they are always so kind to my kids. So, of course, that’s a huge plus in todays world!!!! ❤

It's been a while since we last ate here. That was long before COVID. Our stopping had nothing to do with food quality. We found another Chinese restaurant that offered a buffet. Since COVID, buffets have been closed and everything is takeout. So we thought we'd give the Golden Dragon another try. We've gone twice and both times the food has been hot, fresh and delicious. And you get a lot of food. You have two options in size. A pint and a quart. We got the quart size and got three meals out of them. But that depends on how much you eat. I'm a pretty good eater although not as much as when I was younger. The last time we tried their egg rolls and they are very good! Can't wait for our next time. There are three tables in the restaurant, which is on the small side, and so far we haven't seen anyone eating in. Can't say why that is, but they are busy with take out orders.

It was a Friday and my husband and I are traditional Eastern Christians. We don't do meat on Fridays. We were hungry for lunch when I spotted the Golden Dragon while we were in Mercer. I ordered vegetable lo mein and some vegetable spring rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious! One man running the place. He knows his stuff! I would drive to Mercer from Hermitage any time to get food from the Golden Dragon. His take-out restaurant puts everyone in Hermitage to shame!

Food was plentiful and flavorful. Very pleased and better than other Chinese restaurants in the area. Highly recommend. I will be trying other dishes in the future. The steamed dumplings and sauce were delicious! Hunan chicken and shrimp were nicely extra spicy as ordered. As others have noted shrimp is large size with plenty of bites. Very nice lo mein with lots of garlicky flavor and veg without the grease usually found in the dish.

They were closed for a bit due to the virus. Opened on May 18. Waited 2 hours for an online order, due to a line in the parking lot of people waiting. Most customers were understanding and talked among each other. I feel the owners were overwhelmed with so many orders. It was a long wait but the food was worth it !

Very clean atmosphere. Large menu selections and the staff was very polite. Our food was served in a timely manner and delicious. I highly recommend this place. The crab rangoon where the best that I have had. Food was full of flavor and perfect portions. I will definitely go back.

The Best Asian Food i have ever had, ever since i have eaten there i have had a personal standard on Chinese food, they're food is so fresh and so many flavors. i go there atleast twice a month and they treat there customers with so much respect that i love visiting there every time. the service is amazing and the food is soooooo good. i send about 50 dollars every time i go because its to die for. i recently moved from mercer to hermitage and still travel the distance to get it. i've tried others in hermitage but they all don't compare to golden dragon. i wish they opened in hermitage cause they would get so much business. and i will admit the prices are a little high but you get both quality and quantity for your buck, i mean i don't mind paying a little more cause they do so much more for there customers and you see them cook with effort and enjoyment. i really really appreciate this place and hope it never closes.

I have always gotten good service here Good food. I chose to stand in line on May 18 2020 for one hour 40 minutes and it was worth it I think all that waited feels the same I know it was a trying day for the family Bless then for hanging in there we just all missed your good food THANK YOU!! Very good Chinese cuisine with a big menu full of combo platters and special dishes. Their general tsos chicken and egg rolls are some of the best I've had. I also like there sugar pastries they are so light, crisp and flavorful

Best Chinese ever!!! I've been ordering take out from here for well over 5 years and I can say litteraly EVERY time my experience was five star perfect. I say litteraly meaning the actual definition of the word and absolutely not to exaggerate. The food always perfectly prepared, tasty and accurate. Every order received was not only accurate....in fact each order included an additional item free of charge. Perfectly cleansed (including restrooms)customer service is flawless and customer satisfaction is obviously priority one!

Great food. Always hot & fresh since they don't have a buffet. I drive 25 minutes for their food even though there are two Chinese restaurants closer because Golden Dragon is so much better.

Awesome food! The owner is a bit scruffy in his verbiage but I don't think it is his intent.

Great service. Good variety of choices. Lunch special is a good deal. Every time we go here we get their donuts for dessert - a delicious treat.
