Pen and Oak Tattoo

Went in for a Friday the 13th tattoo and had the best experience. The whole team was extremely nice and helpful. They were efficient for how many people were there and had a positive vibe the whole time. Got my little owl skull tattooed by Hannah and I’m in love with it; she did an amazing job and made it a comfortable appointment. The overall experience was incredible, highly recommended getting tattooed at this shop. Thank you guys (:

This is a very late review (I got mine done in October 2021), but I'm thinking about getting a second tattoo and remembered to leave a review! It took months to get an appointment because Chani is amazing, but it was well worth it! Very calm atmosphere and Chani was very friendly and efficient. I'm considering a second tattoo and I'd trust any of the artists here to do it!

It took two months to get an appointment with Chani but it was absolutely worth the wait. The experience was wonderful - we spent the first 40 minutes talking through reference photos and drawing the design on my arm, I felt very comfortable and heard. Highly recommend!

This is the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. The shop itself has such a cool and relaxed vibe, and all the artists were so kind and down to earth. Jon did an exceptional job on my tattoo, and was so easy to work with! He went above and beyond to actualize my vision, and I’m so happy with my tattoo! 10/10 recommend, and would use them again!

I've had two pieces done by Chani now and I absolutely love them both. Her artistry and color work is absolutely top notch, and she's also incredibly efficient with the time it takes her to do such great work.

Nowhere else I'd rather go to get tattoos done, a repeat customer and one that plans on coming back many more times.

I got a Friday the 13th tattoo from Jon and recently got a custom piece from Chani. They were both SO friendly and dedicated to making sure I got the best tattoo possible. Both tattoos I have are beautiful and I'm in love with them! I absolutely reccomend checking them out if you're looking for a shop on the Palouse. I will definitely be coming back 😄

Great experience, Chani is very thoughtful and will take whatever time she needs to in order to make sure you're in love with your tattoo! I asked for reiki with my tattoo appointment too and that felt very healing. Would highly recommend!

Excellent staff and work. Friday the 13th flash in October. Kevin did back to back flash for me, and it turned out great. A pumpkin & coffin, I'll post when heals up.

This was an incredible experience. The shop was warm, welcoming, and good-humored. I got a very fine-lined tattoo on my fingers and worked with Jon. Jon’s work is amazing. He paid close attention to details and was able to achieve a really delicate/fine line on a difficult spot. I live about 6 hours away and will definitely be making the trip back for my next tattoo.

I was tatted at Pen and Oak by Jon. He was touching up a tattoo that healed poorly by another artist. (Note: the healing issue was my error.) Jon provided great respect and care for the tattoo as if the original work was his own. Additionally, he was very communicating and receptive to the ideas and visual references I provided prior to the appointment. I valued my experience there and would recommend his services.

also: if anyone cares, he's very light handed. If worried about "pain" during a first tattoo, I would recommend him no matter the simplicity of the work due to the aforementioned but also, the minimization of pain during application would help during one's first time.

My mom and i booked mother daughter tattoos with Chani and she spent the first hr making sure we were 100% happy with what she had created for us! She was patient and kind and made us both feel so comfortable. We absolutely LOVE our tattoos and we will definitly be back to see her again. ❤

I've been lucky enough to have several tattoos done by Chani, including custom art and flash. My dad has gotten one tattoo each from Chani and Jon so far, and he also had a great experience each time. Chani and Jon are professional and great artists. I absolutely LOVE Chani and Jon. They are amazing people with beautiful souls. Their work is absolute art. They are hands down the best place to get tattooed in the area! Went in to drop off my friend for their tattoo and I was blown away, it's absolutely beautiful inside! Chani was extremely sweet and I fell in love with her style. I cannot wait to save up myself to get tattooed by her!!
