Dr. Capawana and his staff are so friendly and caring. We had a situation in which my daughter broke her foot on a Sunday night. After speaking with him Monday morning, he immediately made arrangements for us to get a wheelchair rental for her so we could get her to his office. He squeezed us in at the end of the day on Monday so she could get taken care of. Turns out that her other foot--which a quick care provider had diagnosed as sprained a week earlier--was actually broken as well (she broke the second foot hopping around on it to protect the first foot--everyone asks :-). No, I'm not criticizing quick care. He said the break was subtle and that many radiologists would have missed it. So, we wheeled her out of his office with both feet cast. He was so thoughtful and concerned about her. He contacted me the next day just to ask how she was doing and how she was getting around. We have worked with him before with other members of our family. We have nothing but good to say about him and his staff.

Excellent podiatrist and surgeon. Very kind and pleasant to talk to. Did a great job on my bunion surgery and my sister's broken foot.

I have nothing but the best experiences with this office, and Dr Capawana has made it possible for me to walk normal again without surgery!!

This is more of a 4.5/5 rating. I've had a good experience with Capawana and his office. He and his office staff are quite nice, and he has helped me with a variety of foot problems. I can't give him five stars just because he seems pretty rushed and not particularly engaged, which makes me think he's not giving the problem enough attention to treat it as effectively. That said, I know he sees a ton of patients from all over the Palouse (I believe he's the only podiatrist in the area) and that he honestly can't spend a whole lot of time with each patient.

We didn't actually get to see Dr. Capawana, this review is purely based on our attempt. Worst customer service we've ever experienced, and we really genuinely tried to be patient and understanding with their mistakes. This had nothing to do with workload or covid, it had everything to do with flagrant disregard and lack of professionalism. When we finally did reach the Pullman location on our sixth call and following multiple issues, their response was, "we have nothing to do with the Moscow location." They are presumptive, have the poorest communication I've experienced in a clinic setting, and have no customer care skills. And that's all without having met with Dr. Capawana. We will find a podiatrist office that at least pretends to care.

My husband broke his heel and ankle in 2012 and was sent to Dr. Capawana. After complaining to Dr. Capawana that my husband's toes were turning black and he had pain moving up to his knee, and then up to his upper thigh, Dr. Capawana said this was normal and consistent for the heel and ankle injury. After my husband described his difficulty breathing and feeling like he was panting, the doctor said this was consistent with being sedentary out of work for a time. Approximately 2 weeks later my husband was admitted the to ER with a blood clot in his leg and many in his lungs. He had to be rushed to another hospital for surgery, and he now has permanent lung damage and an enlarged heart. We later learned that all his symptoms described to Dr. Capawana should have alerted the doctor to the possibility of a blood clot immediately. The lung damage could have been avoided completely, and we are fortunately my husband did not die. We do NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.

Terrible!!! The Dr was nice enough, but his reception staff is horrid. I had to jump through several hoops just to get an appointment and after being seen his staff couldn't even figure out how to bill my insurance! what are they even there for! Avoid this office if you can!

Impossible to get in to see even though three or four of my family go there. By the tjj in me I get all the referrals and paperwork my issue will have resolved itself! Forget it.

Never revived any information on the account after service until we received a notification in the mail that it had gone to collections.
