El Borinquen Restaurant

Wow 🤩 is what describes this little family owned Spanish restaurant with the authentic soul of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 . The owner is extremely friendly inviting his food is by far the best food I have eaten outside of Puerto Rico. Food that was order was rice with peas and steak and a mofongo I also tasted the pernil and yes it was to good to be true stop by and have one of the best Spanish foods in the area.

Everything was FRESH!! A delicious tase of home without being on the island. Roast pork with yellow rice was so flavorful!
The freshest empanadas I’ve had in the area.
Just be patient or call in. Like I said it’s very freshly made and delicious!

A Piece of Puerto Rico in the Poconos! My Husband and I were there today and the food was delicious. We had the roast pork (pernir), ribs, rice and apps. The Owner Juan introduced himself at our table and we also met his wife Janira and Family. Had some complimentary avocado and pan tostada. Definitely coming back to this Gem.

The BEST Puerto Rican food in the area. Being Puerto Rican myself it’s always been so hard to find a good spot in the area. This is hands down the absolute best. And for the season the Pumpkin Tres Leche is SO good. Can’t go wrong with anything you get here to be honest, all the food is amazing. 🩷

Amazing costumer service, food was amazing definitely recommend its as authentic as you can get from the Island. Very humble people. I will definitely visit the place more often.

The food was so good. First time here and definitely going back. The relleno de papas were immense and delicious. My sister had the patitas and she said it was sooo good. Great service. I even tried arroz mamposteado. Wishing these guys great success and definitely will be back.

We were a large group and even though the restaurant closes at 8, they stayed open late for us. They were so nice, great service and so helpful. It was a casual place with fun decor. The food was delicious and there are lots of options for sodas and juices. We would recommend and would return for another meal.

Absolutely amazing!! The chicken soup tasted just like my grandma’s! The mayoketchu was perfect and the tostones and empanadas were delicious. I’m so glad we found this spot & we can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in town!

My family and I came to PA on a ski trip and I happen to see this restaurant as we were driving back from the resort. They closed at 8 but made accommodations for 10 of us and kept it open for us till nearly 10 pm. Service was amazing, the girl who helped us was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu and the food was delicious! We’ll be sure to come back

Smelled like mom’s kitchen when I walked in the door. We had several great meals in the restaurant, then had them cater our holiday party. Everyone RAVED about how good the food tasted. Pernil, Roasted Chicken, arroz con gandules. Everything was delicious

The Food was delicious. The alcapurias remind me of my abuela. Also brought me back home to my mom’s. The staff were very friendly. I definitely will be returning.

The best, we walked in just to look at the Beautigul decor, and ended up eating, ordering 2 dozen pasteles on the spot !!!!!!! The owners are so humble and nice. Made us feel like home. Oh the portions are HUGE! LOVE how he has his family and children behind the counter!!! Going back tomorrow for alcuppurias.
