Canyon Motel

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect being right in town. The service was awesome. The cleaning girl hung a towel on each motorcycle to clean the dew off before we left. ( something that never happened before) The hotel also has an indoor pool, so you can swim year round.

Great little gem in a very quaint little town! We had car trouble and had to ask for an extended stay. The people working there are the stars! The motel is lovely but what stands out are people like Cody at the front desk, Sasha the manager and Charlene in housekeeping! They all went above and beyond in assisting us making sure our trip back to Canada was worry free. They are exemplary and a credit to this establishment! Thank you! (p.s. I hope I spelled your names correctly)

My husband and I always come here! We came here the first few months we’ve been together clear too coming back for our honeymoon! Great place, and I would highly recommend getting the honeymoon sweets even if your not marry because of the amazing swan jacuzzi towels! Super inviting! We love this place and the small cozy community surrounding it.

Update: we can back for our 1 year wedding anniversary and the motel did this for us. They’re so sweet and we will always ALWAYS come here!!

Helpful front desk people with great customer service. Large clean room. Convenient walk to food, shopping and downtown! Discount offered at local restaurants - which was accepted without hesitation. Indoor pool was perfect temperature after a day of biking on the Pine Creek Gorge Trail.

We stayed one night at the motel and found it to be perfect. It was just a block off the main street of Wellsboro near a diner, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. The room was very clean and had a minifrig, a microwave, and a single serve coffee maker. The price was exceptional and the staff friendly. I would recommend it and when we are in the area will definitely stay there again.

$377 for 5 nights. Can't be beat! Great location, walking distance to downtown and convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations... Room was very clean, tidy, had everything you needed. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Indoor heated pool! Highly recommended you stay here if in the Wellsboro area.

Room was very clean and fresh. We loved everything about our stay here. Bed was very comfortable. Soft, clean sheets. Shower was great. Room had a refrigerator and individual coffeemaker. Tastefully decorated. We usually stay at chains but this was a very pleasant surprise. If ever again in the area, we would definitely choose to stay here.

What a quaint sweet place to stay. Within walking distance of the picturesque Main Street. Rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Very nice indoor pool as well.

The staff is a group of people that you would hire if you owned your own motel. The rooms are always clean and fresh and very comfortable. Location could not be better.

Great location. Pool is refreshing after days hiking and sightseeing. Outdoor chairs are great to supplement indoor sitting areas. Tons of parking. Our "go to" place to stay in Wellsboro!

The people are very nice, the WiFi is really good, the rooms are updated and the water pressure in the shower is amazing

My son and his family moved to wellsboro 7 months ago. I stay at the Canyon motel when I visit. (about 8 times now) The rooms are not extravagant. They are tastefully decorated and always immaculately clean. What more could you want?

Clean roomy motel room with Jacuzzi. My husband and I had a blast swimming in the large, clean heated pool. We dried off in the sauna afterwards.

I wouldn’t compare this to say a 5 star rating to a really nice hotel. But considering the price, location, amenities and cleanliness it definitely gets five stars. Room was spotless, bed was firm but comfortable. Shower had decent pressure and was spacious. And as a bonus (which I have never seen at a motel) a nice sauna and a nice large pool. They also had changing rooms and a small gym in the pool area. I also didn’t see a hot tub advertised anywhere, so when I got there and saw a hub tub I definitely got excited. Sadly it was out of service, but I didn’t expect one anyway so I can’t really hold that against them. I got one of the smaller standard rooms, but if I stay again I’m
going to get a bigger room with a jacuzzi tub and a kitchenette. Not very far at all from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Also wellsboro is a nice little town with everything you need within walking
distance. Grocery store, restaurants, bars, movie theatre etc.. would definitely recommend for under a hundred bucks that I paid.

There was a lot of construction going on. Looks like a lot of the rooms got new windows and had been renovated. Our room had a fridge, microwave, 2 queen beds. 4 pillows on each bed, plenty of towels and wash clothes. The mattress I kid you not was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The kids loved the pool and there is a lift to get disabled people in and out of the pool. I've never seen that anywhere. It was really close to downtown, food, and stores. We will be staying here again when we come back to Wellsboro PA.

The Canyon motel was awesome! We were on a motorcycle trip down from Buffalo and this motel was recommended to us by Larry's Harley Davidson. The room was clean, the A.C. was cold, and the beds were comfortable. They have a pool, a sauna, and a shower in the pool house. The pool was very clean and heated to about 85 degrees. There is a gym, but it is next to the pool, so if you're wanting to work out on your trip, you're going to have to do it in the slightly humid and warm pool-house. The best sign of a clean hotel is waking up and seeing the housekeepers doing their job around the property. The workers were very helpful, and you didn't feel like you were bothering them if you had a question, very hospitable. If I'm ever passing through again, I will definitely be keeping Canyon Motel on my list.

Loved being a guest here at the Canyon motel it was so cozy nice little intimate place gives the feeling that you are in the Woods in A private cozy log cabin❤
Also has a Dry Sauna and indoor heated pool❤

This was such a pleasant surprise. Traveling with my mother in law and needed 2 rooms. The girl at the desk suggested a suite which was 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and a little deck off the back overlooking the parking lot. I was hesitant, but figured sure let's see how it goes. Place was perfect. We each had our own space with TVs in both, it was very clean, nicely kept, quiet and quite comfortable. I didn't want for a thing there. We were on the road for 2 weeks and this turned out to be my second favorite place to stay along the way. I'd go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!! I wish we had had time to use the indoor pool. It also looked clean and well kept and it was huge!!
