Sherwood Motel

Wellsboro is a wonderful, quiet little town that my hubby and I escape to a couple times a year or so, and the Sherwood Motel is our preferred place to stay. Our most recent visit, last weekend, was no exception. The room we were in has been remodeled and is so cute, not to mention clean. Jeff, at the front desk was very friendly, polite, and helpful. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks again, Jeff, for everything. You are a true representation of customer service.

Perfect place to stay in a nice little town to visit. The motel was right on the edge of the main street in town. The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and up to date. Would %100 recommend.

Our home away from home.. we are from the area but live out of state now.. SO when we come home ONLY place we stay is Sherwood! We love it.... very friendly and accommodating... Love the room.. we always get Room 111 😀...

My wife and I stopped here on our honeymoon 35 years ago. We happened to be visiting family in the area this past weekend, and stayed the night again. The room we had was huge compared to a lot of hotel/motels we've stayed at over the years. My only bad comment, would be that apparently there was a spill of some type in the room prior to us staying. While they did a phenomenal job cleaning it, the carpet was still a bit damp. Aside from that, the Sherwood was a great place to stay.

I had a great experience here on a work trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations checking in. The place is very clean and updated which was reassuring since some motels are less than great. This place is great. Wifi available as well. Plenty of local recommendations in the office and they were friendly and helpful if we needed something.

My husband and I really like the Sherwood. The rooms are nice and very clean. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. It's close enough to all our favorite spots in town, so we just park and walk everywhere. The grandkids love the pool during our summer visits.

I have been staying at the Sherwood Motel for years. The rooms have always been clean and the staff helpful, professional, and friendly. My recent stay was more of the same. The price is right and location perfect. I am already looking forward to my next stay. The price is reasonable,
and the heated pool is nice.

Nice room, comfortable beds. Time and weather prevented us from trying the pool but it looked lovely. Very friendly gentleman at the desk was a great resource for recommendations for dinner and breakfast.
Lovely town with many places downtown also made it nice that we could walk almost anywhere and made for a great evening stroll.

We had a lovely stay during our time at Wellsboro. Staff was kind and helpful. Gave us a few pointers to local businesses to go visit, and even a small discount to some! Our room was also clean and spacious, perfect for our two night stay. A lovely little motel for a lovely little town we hope to visit again sometime soon!

This is my favorite place to stay when I'm in the area. I used to live around here and I still have friends up here, so I come a few times a year. The location is ideal, within walking distance to just about everything, including a grocery store, a Dunkin, and a playground for the kiddos. The rooms are huge and very clean and cozy. The jetted tub was amazing and almost too powerful on my back. The only downfall to me is that the blankets could be a little thicker; not a huge fan of the hospital style blankets. I understand they're cheaper and easier to clean than comforters, but the rooms could use an extra one since an extra pillow is supplied. However, it's easy to adjust the thermostat since it's on the wall and goes by temperature, so I definitely appreciate that. The gentleman I dealt with at the front desk is very friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make sure I could check in a bit early and extend my stay by an extra night. I highly recommend this hotel if you're ever in the area, it's well worth the price and then some.

Clean rooms , a very friendly staff and a short walk to downtown Wellsboro. Nothing not to like!

Great motel ! Clean spacious rooms for a great value ! Great location to walk anywhere within town. Friendly staff & nice pool area. We just stayed 3 nights from July 31 - August 3. The Motel is only a few miles away from the PA Grand Canyon & it's many great lookout points & trails for hiking. We also took a day trip to Watkins Glen - only 1 hour away. All in all a great location & we will be returning guests for sure.
We will be highly recommending this motel to our family & friends.

The staff are very professional and friendly. They have a well kept property. The king room was well laid out including a m/w and refrigerator. Everything seemed very clean and neat. Nothing seemed to be missing. Well worth the choice.

Love, love, love it here. This was our third time staying there and there will be many more. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Jeff is very friendly and answered all our questions about places to eat and other things to do in the area. Will be definitely staying there again. (Actually another trip coming up this weekend, lol) Oh and did I mention that Jeff was amazing.

I have stayed at the Sherwood Motel in Wellsboro more than 50 times over the past two years. I have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and I always get a great night's sleep. The rooms never seem too hot or too cold. If there ever is a slow draining tub it is always taken care of the same day. The complimentary breakfast is simple but adequate. The location is so convenient to most everywhere in town. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the front desk always has good suggestions even during the holidays. I always enjoy my stays at the Sherwood Motel. I highly recommend it.

We have been coming here over the 4th of July for years! Super friendly staff, clean, reasonably priced rooms, biker friendly including a hose and complimentary bike rags! Great heated pool to enjoy! Walking distance to everything downtown and a short ride to the Grand Canyon! We will continue to stay here!

This motel is so clean and well maintained, I was blown away. Everything was immaculate and ready to go when we arrived. My boyfriend and I had a short stay, but I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The entire staff was so friendly too, it was refreshing to be treated as a guest and not just a room number. Overall it was a lovely experience.

My husband and I stayed four nghts with the fine folks at Sherwood and we LOVED our entire experience . Such a congenial and attentive staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool clean and welcome after long days of riding motorcycle through the mtns. We will definitely be back.
