Kopernik is an absolutely wonderful educational resource to kindle and pursue space adventures for children and adults alike. The enthusiasm, expertise, knowledge and kindness of Kopernik leadership & team was evident when my family drove up from NYC late night to “make a wish” for my son. I’m extremely grateful and highly recommend Kopernik for budding astronauts.

Brought my son up to Kopernik for Observe the moon night. It was fun! They had some neat interactive stuff, mostly geared towards kids, but there was also a presentation that was geared more toward adults. Overall, it was a great experience that my son and I really enjoyed.

Great place to see the stars and more! Staff there are super knowledgeable and helpful and nice. I accidentally knocked the telescope after it was set up to focus on Saturn. (FML! 🥲) They kindly and patiently adjusted it again. I was so amazed by the view! Saturn was so sharp and I could see its rings! Very memorable experience. Thank you, Kopernik!

A real treasure to have in the community. Staff was helpful and share their passion for astronomy. Nice displays inside including the moon rock on loan from NASA, to the scale miniatures of the Apollo missions. But the real treasure is the outdoor viewing of the moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and the andromeda galaxy through the available telescopes. What an experience!

Spent an excellent summer evening viewing the moon at Kopernik through two telescopes. I can't believe I only learned about this recently and it's been around for nearly 50 years! Will definitely be back for a special astrological event.

I love to go to the Kopernik Observatory. You can get a incredibly nice look at the stars even without looking through the telescope. For it's close location to Binghamton/Vestal, there is nearly no light pollution. They also offer a price off for a student membership. More pictures will come from this place soon.

Oh, Kopernik... Where can I begin? Never has any educational facility made me so excited and passionate about science; Kopernik, however, managed to do just that. I felt like an elementary school child as I attended the various tours the guides had for their facilities. From observing the rings of Saturn through their remarkable telescopes to believing the excitement of space travel from the words of a tour guide, this observatory had everything imaginable for the curious individual. Not to mention their rocket test, which awed my group and me. If you happen to be in the Vestal area, do not hesitate to go to Kopernik, regardless of your age! You shall not regret it!

Kopernik is a fabulous place to learn about different science topics while also getting the opportunity to look through the telescopes. It now offers a science park playground for children.
I had the pleasure to do some volunteer work here for some of the summer camps that Kopernik hosted for different grade levels. I always love learning new topics at Kopernik’s Friday night programs. From my time as a volunteer, I can say that the staff were very easy to get along with and were always passionate about science. Kopernik is an excellent place to help unleash your child’s potential in science, technology, engineering and math and make a change in our world.

Kopernik is an absolute treasure to the area. Drew and his team are phenomenal and the work that they do is extraordinary. We go to summer camps there, participate in Girl Power, visit the new space park, and enjoy the Friday night and special events. Highly recommend!!!

Very helpful. Let everyone view through the 3 telescope at their pace. Others brought theirs and let everyone use them. Easy to talk to, since it was my first time there.
