Hotel Crittenden

UPDATE: As of February or March of this year or last year, The Crittenden will not reopen due to too much damage from the fire and water damage from fire fighters putting out the blaze. I will miss the great friendly people who worked there and their great food!!!! I gave them 5 stars to let them know that we all are here for them!!! Merry Christmas to the owner and staff of the Crittenden!!!!

the ambiance of this place in addition to the absolutely amazing food is a definite 5 star facility! Absolutely gorgeous inside. The old detail is stunning. I love that they refinished the old and didn’t replace it with new things. Just gorgeous! The staff was super nice as well.
Everything we ordered was fantastic. Our only suggestion would be that the dinner come with a side salad. Those cost extra-we ordered it but didn’t get it (that was okay-we ordered appetizers for the table as well)

Absolutely great place. First time here. Loved their burgers..the fries with the burgers were so fresh & crispy..(I ate them all).. The Beer mussels were delicious.. crab stuffed mushrooms were awesome but be careful, the mushrooms are hot! The price for all of it including my raspberry drink was a bit over 40$.... well worth it.

We LOVED this place! Been wanting to go there for a couple years and finally made. Sure glad we did! The decor was very nice the service was great and the fried cheese squares and most especially the brisket steak were delicious!! We want to come back and stay in the hotel in the future.

Was in town late Friday night for work. We got there 15 minutes before the kitchen closed in their Taproom, but we still got served. Was not expecting such a great menu; my wife and I both got steaks. There was also a pool table and live music. It's a really neat and historic property, and there was obviously a lot of money put into restoring it. They are super dog friendly and the accommodations are on point.

The owner, Chandra, was wonderful and made herself available via cell phone 24/7. My wife had left a pair of pants in the room and they are mailing them back to us on their dime. We cannot wait to go back later in the year when the weather is warmer and we have more time to spend there. Highly recommend.

We brought out kid out for the Cherry Springs Night Viewing for their birthday. We’ve never been to this area of PA so we had no idea what to expect. Though it was cloudy skies, the hotel and restaurant made it worth it. We asked for some balloons and they went above and beyond. The restaurant food is perfect. I can imagine it having a long wait during their peak time. Super easy check in/out and very cute rooms. It’s located in the middle of town, which is also very cute. Thank you to all the staff for making it a memorable trip.

We randomly happened across this gem driving through town and were blown away! The building is beautiful and historic. The beer selection delicious and the maple bacon cheddar burger was so good, we took another one togo for trail lunch tomorrow!! Thanks again, we look forward to returning!

We decided to eat in the bar area, there are several other places as well. Our bartender/server Mariah came right over and asked about drinks etc. We ordered drinks and appetizers and everything came out right away despite her being the only one to handle everything. The apps and salads were delicious. Especially the salads. Best house salad I ever saw. Entrees came out next, quickly hot and fresh. My ribeye was very flavorful and nobody finished their large portions. Cheers to the staff for presenting great dishes with great service and at a decent price.

I went for dinner Wed evening. I was here once years ago. Can't remember what I had but thoug
ht I'd give it a try. I was thinking of Fish fry all day. There's did not disappoint. Fantastic fish and fries. Big piece of fish done perfectly with the right amount of batter.
Great service! The guy that waited on me was friendly and accommodating. Great experience!

STAY HERE! when I called they stated they were booked and honestly that’s totally understandable but she called me back and said they had a last minute cancellation and a room was available!!!! How sweet is she? I am so thankful she called us because this room was amazing and they’re pet friendly! say less! This room was stunning! it was clean, comfortable and classy as hell. The food down stairs was incredible! the hotel has charm and a total win for us. The owner has got to be one of the sweetest women i’ve ever met. She was so helpful, accommodating and every time I saw her she was working. she was there when we went to bed and there when we left. The paranormal activity we heard was a bonus. She knew her stuff and we’ll definitely be back.

Had a awesome meal. Food and service were excellent. They really went out of their way to accommodate us for a birthday dinner. The fruit and cheesecake platter was a nice touch

The place was packed on Saturday night and they handled it very well. The brisket was very tasty and based on the dark crust was roasted properly. Well run with great staff. We will return.

The food was amazing. They do NOT skimp on portions, everything was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and staff was friendly.
We spent the night in the hotel also. It was like stepping back in time and disconnecting from all the rush of today's everyday life. We lucked out and stayed on a week night that was not real busy so the noise from downstairs was not bad. They do provide earplugs should you happen to stay when things are not so quiet.

Excellent place to stay overnight! Wonderful management. Our room had mini fridge and microwave with 5 cup coffee pot which was very much appreciated. I enjoyed the charming building, in fact I sat in the chair in hallway to read my book and take break from cartoons and family for an hour to unwind. Would definitely stay again!

We ate here today for the first time. We had the nachos and brisket melt for lunch. Excellent taste but the portions were huge. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely come back again. The dining room was pretty damn cold though. The owners could definitely cut the portion sizes down and still charge the same price. From a business perspective.

Amazing experience at the restaurant. They were short staffed and put in extra effort make sure we were happy and even comped some food without us asking just because of the wait which wasn’t even too long. The food was incredible, we had a party of 12 and everyone was happy. Amazing place with amazing staff!!

We stayed one night at the hotel to star gazing at Cherry Spring State Park. Only 20 minutes drive from there. Super nice and clean hotel room. We stayed room number 1. It is so spacious with 2 Queen size bed and bathroom. 2 sinks. Love it! Also we had dinner at the restaurant. The food was so delicious and very good portion. The staff and the owner are super sweet and nice. We will come back!

My wife and I LOVED IT !!!!!!!!! Clean and Comfortable Hotel with a GREAT STAFF who provide excellent service and a Vast Knowledge of the area and it's History. The Brew and Food in the Tap Room downstairs was First Class, Delicious and Affordable. Thank you Shandra for being our Host and Tour Guide . " we shall return "

My boyfriend and I stayed here with our dogs during a two week road trip. This was our favorite place that we stayed during our whole trip. The room was very nice and the owner was very accommodating. I had an online work meeting that lasted until after the normal checkout time that I was able to stay in our room for. It’s also very nice that she had recommendations for both places that I could take the dogs out to and places that we could visit in town.

I went for my birthday under my sisters recommendation. It has a old feel to it, not in a bad way. Antiques here and there as decoration, nice and quiet. The staff is very polite and friendly. More over was the quality of the food. The burgers were without a doubt the best I have ever had, far better then any mainstream sit down. The beef before cooking had to have been steak sized, the meat very tender and juicy, the general size just big enough to fill but not so big I had to dislocate my jaw to eat. They actually cooked my burger they way I wanted it (rare, which is hard to find done right). The chips were handmade and wonderful, and the prices very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice sit down experience.
