The Roost

The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. Our server was excellent, she checked in frequently, was knowledgeable about the menu and kept our drinks topped off.

The food was all very good as well. I had a smashburger which was juicy, cheesy and served on a soft roll. My wife had shrimp tacos and chips, which came with a delicious queso dip. My wife also really enjoyed their Bramble cocktail and the bartender turned drink orders around quickly which seems to be rare these days.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I fell in love with The Roost! As a person who has gluten allergies, they bent over backwards to make sure I had a good experience. The food was amazing. The service was out of this world. The atmosphere is welcoming. I highly suggest anyone going into Wellsboro to seek out The Roost and eat there. You won't go wrong.

The food was delicious, service was great and the place itself was AMAZING. Every detail was hand built by the owners husband and was so intricate. The whole place was a work of art. The wings were perfectly crispy and the pretzel bites “should be illegal” 😂.

The atmosphere is unique but homey. The menu has so many delicious items listed it iso hard to choose. The food was excellent and the server especially helpful & friendly. 3 years later The Roost is still great place to eat. The menu has changed up a bit but everything is still delicious and the servers are still friendly and helpful.

Excellent wings!! Highly recommend trying the bourbon molasses flavor. Had the Mac n Chesse with bacon chicken ranch, it was good and fulfilling. Nice selection of beer. Fast and friendly service. Really happy with deciding to stop here while passing through town. Definitely coming here again next time I am in the area.

As someone who’s worked in the food & beverage industry, I’m blown away. We got this recommendation from my boyfriend’s mom. Everything exceeded my expectations. My mulled cider & booze with bourbon was much needed after hiking all day & flavorful. I got the maple chicken sandwich & the Dijon mustard that came with it was so tasty. There’s no words for how good the tots were, these are the tots I’d eat for the rest of my life. The bartender, Erinn was so friendly, attentive & really completed our phenomenal experience. This will be our go to place whenever we are up north!

Stopped in after setting up camp. They have a great meal and appetizer selection. Most of which is locally sourced. Had the cheese steak and the wings. Both were outstanding. They also have a great beer selection. Service was outstanding, we ate right at the bar. We will be back.

Quaint. Delicious food. Amazing service. Literally the sweetest group of workers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Love the atmosphere and music playlist is fire!!! Also.. do yourself a favor and grab a hot mocha latte while you’re here. You’ll thank me later. 💙

This place is absolutely perfect. The food, the drinks, the lighting fixtures, the bar stools (the most comfortable ever). Erin was awesome, and the mac and cheese was to die for! The locals we chatted with made it even better. This was definitely the highlight of our day and with great drinks, food and staff we will return.

Stopped in walking the streets of Wellsboro for some lunch. Great little place the atomospher is very unique. We started with an old fashion and Watermelon Shandy. We ordered garlic dill cheese curds as an appetizer very delicious the breading taste like funnel cake! We had the pork Mac and cheese that was very excellent and the spicy shrimp tacos. We joined another table of friends they really enjoyed their taco salads and burger. This place is definitely worth the stop!

I came in yesterday with my boyfriend and I had the Shuffle Off the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and he had Roost BBQ Wings. The food was AMAZING! This was my first time coming here and I will definitely be back. We had Maddy as a server, she said it was her second day. You would’ve never thought it was, she knew exactly what she was doing and was very professional. She was very sweet and kind. Loved the service with her.

Excellent cheese steak and good burgers! Samurai tots are huge and can be a meal in itself. Service is great too. We could tell the place gets super busy cause it’s a one of a kind in this are. They don’t take to go orders via phone after 4 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but we came in to request a takeout and they were kind to accommodate that. Would come back!

Burger was super well done, but still good. The staff was very friendly, and the decor is super cool! Worth stopping in just to see the place. :)

Ate here last night for our 3rd anniversary with my wife. We were visiting Wellsboro all the way from Lancaster County and we very much enjoyed our experience here. The pub has a very down to earth but romantic vibe. The drinks were spot on. The fried pickles were amazing and my wife's BBQ mac and cheese and my chicken cheesesteak were absolute perfection. Honestly one of the best chicken cheesesteaks I've ever had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a yummy bite to eat.

Our food was delicious. It took a while for us to get a table but the service was great.

My husband and I visited when we were in town. Out of all of the places in the area, they were the most friendly and had the most personality. We had a wonderful time and they made us feel so welcome there! Special shout out to Sean and Derrick behind the bar!

Great food, super fun atmosphere, and very friendly staff!!! We went for coffee in the afternoon which was good coffee!! At night we went back for dinner and drinks- all was delicious. I highly recommend making this a must when you visit Wellsboro!!!

Stumbled upon this awesome location today while traveling from out of town. Staff are so friendly. Drinks were great! The place is so unique and i love how the owner is creative and repurposed materials to make this place even better.
