BLUF - GREAT FOOD, cozy atmosphere, fast and friendly service!

We were visiting from out of town and after working up a hard core appetite from mountain biking, we decided to try Red Skillet (and use the Wellsboro Bucks from the Bear Meadows Lodge). Up front- cute cozy ambiance, good social distancing enforced, and friendly customer service.

As far as the food, I got the portobello mushroom burger (comes with runny eggs and pesto) and it was DELICIOUS. Ar first, I was surprised with how s small it is but it did a great job filling me up! I got a side of the well-reviewed broccoli salad, great flavors and texture!
I tried my husband's local beef burger and MAN that's what beef is supposed to taste like!! Great job sourcing your beef, Red Skillet!!

The only thing that would further impress me is if they chose to use more eco-friendly food containers/straws.

This place was fantastic! Quite the selection of beers, excellent food with high-quality ingredients, and a cheesesteak that was totally unique! Shout out to Angie for the excellent service!

Recommended: The skillet dog. Bacon wrapped hotdog with pulled pork bbq, coleslaw, and corn chips. Perfect meal after a hike. They had ~4 outdoor tables and a small selection of beers.

Deliciousness!!! My 20 year old daughter and I have specific diet choices with her being vegan and me needing to be gluten free. They offer many lunch choices that made it hard to decide what to order. We were very pleased with our food, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was great. Hopefully we can return soon.

Needed to pickup a suit in town and realized I had not had anything to eat all day. I ended up walking over to Red Skillet due to the lack of a strong signal and read their menu outside, the Local Beef Burger looked like a fit to cure the rumbly in my tumbly. Tremendous choice. Delectable burger, well prepared on a brioche. Not going to lie, looked a little like a hot mess when it came out, but that was quickly quashed when I took a bite and then another, and then realized it was gone. Tip of the hat Red Skillet. Job, well done.

Eclectic selection of foods. From Thai to Italian and burgers. Onion soup was excellent. Try the “Adult Milkshake”

Great food, great atmosphere, and even better drinks! The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality you get.

I go here regularly for lunch for their premade/grab and go salads - which are always 10/10.

But my husband and I also went here for a date night dinner this weekend - another 10/10 experience. The food was delicious with good portion sizes, and same for our cocktails and craft beer option. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great date night place.

I hàd a great vegan burger on a pretzel bun, plus excellent sweet potato fries. My husband enjoyed his gluten free lunch. Great iced tea, which they brew themselves. The chef was extremely knowledgeable about what was vegan or gluten free in his kitchen. Many thanks, staff of Red Skillet!

Great service and excellent food. Our kids cleaned their plates which is rare! We don’t typically rate restaurants because we are lazy, but the high quality food and service motivated us to get off our butts and write a deservedly nice review.

Smart decor. Very friendly staff and interesting menu. Food was lovely and for British visitors the portion sizes were just right! Having just travelled up from Washington DC, we found the prices less expensive. Worthwhile a detour to see the interesting town centre (downtown) with gas lamps and recommend a meal here if you’ve time.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. For our appetizer this trip we had the crab dip with pita chips, which was excellent. For my main course I ordered the Rad Na Thai which also did not disappoint.

The food and cocktails were absolutely amazing. Totally recommend their Blackberry Bramble and Raspberry Mojito for drinks. Their Flatbread pizza, Strawbery Spinach salad, Gnocchi, and Mediterranean Filet were perfect. Great service too. Ask for a table outside if you like quieter environment.

Reccomend highly. As a tourist in wellsboro, I didn't know what restaurants to eat at, and this honestly is my favorite so far on the trip. Best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had, and perfectly crunchy fries. They had a wide variety to choose from, too. Truly great place to eat!!!

I am not from this area and was passing through. Me and my fiance decided to stop for a bite to eat and we were both impressed with the selection of food, the deliciousness, and the prices. This place is great and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend!

Really nice, laid-back atmosphere. We shared the Chicken Quesedillas and each had the Fall Harvest Salad. The food was so good that we might be back for the quiches tomorrow!

I loved this place. Had an amazing salad with really good steak. We had a group of people and everyone was impressed. There is no wait staff. It is definitely a unique place.

Had a great dinner in a beautifully appointed dining room in an old Wellsboro bldg. The pesto tortorllini with a portobello grilled mushroom was excellent. Tried the raspberry mojito 👍👍 plenty of food choices if you wish a quick bite. Do stop / enjoy
