The Italian Oven Restaurant

Absolutely loved it!! I hadn't been to an Italian Oven since the late 90s and it was a nostalgic bit of my childhood that I missed and thought was gone forever. But I stumbled on this one and it more than lived up to my expectations! The food was solidly good and our server was friendly and helpful, despite visiting on Christmas Eve. The fried zucchini stood out, as well as the manicotti. I'll definitely be back - especially since it's a short detour on my route to visit family - and continue to enjoy their menu.

We were seated in a booth next to the restrooms. It was freezing. They really need to turn up the heat.

The food was excellent. The best white pizza I've ever tasted. Our server was nice. Prices were great. The hot sweet chicken finger appetizer was really good. Not hot at all, but still good!

this restaurant has my whole heart. the food is absolutely amazing and very well priced. it’s so well put together and you can tell everything is cooked with love. the service and environment of this place is very homely and clean. my favorite server, her name was katie i think was such a kind and funny person to have serving us. she checked on us very frequently and gave us a good laugh a couple of times, which i love. overall i recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good home cooked meal. if that’s what you want, this restaurant is most definitely for you.

Good food, great staff! I've ran down for food over my lunch break and everything turned out great and was waiting for me when I went to pick it up! Highly recommend the Sweet & Hot Chicken!!

My waitress Sam was amazing. I loved her fabulous green hair. She was very attentive with a warm smile. She never let my drink go empty and brought my food out really quick. I’d go back just to have her wait on me.

The food was amazing, I love their wood fired oven. It adds a unique flavor to the food. I’d recommend the pizza to anyone.

We were visiting friends and met in Somerset, so we decided to go to this restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the patio was perfect. Karen was our waitress and she was super attentive and great to chat with. We ordered the garlic knots, garlic bread, spinach artichoke dip, and a couple pizzas and everything was delicious. The strawberry daiquiris are also a 10/10!! We definitely recommend this restaurant, if we ever find ourselves here again we will back.

We were staying in Somerset overnight while touring the covered bridges in the county. We didn't want to go to one of the big chain restaurants, preferring to try a local restaurant. Location was easily reached and outside of the traffic around town. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive server. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Pasta Bolognese, glass of wine, and a dessert. My spaghetti and meatballs was delicious. Portions were generous. We loved the pasta sauce. A great choice!

The waitress Matty was amazing. With her we never had to ask for refills, she was right there filling them up. She gave great suggestion on food. Witch was delicious. She was super friendly and nice. Matty made are date night super special. We will be coming back and it's all thanks to her. She needs a raise for everything. Great job girl.

Our group of four adults, four kids and two dogs stopped for dinner after a hike. We sat outside on the patio, which was fenced--bonus. The waitress took very good care of our gang. The cocktails were great and so was the food.

Hungry, lost RV'ers. Had no idea where we were or what we wanted. 8:30 at night. One person with us saw it on Google maps and was like hey, let's try there. I had the haddock sandwich and fries. Haddock was delicious and steak fries were the best I've ever had. They were different. Wife had a small pizza. Excellent. Others had ravioli and Alfredo. Everything was really outstanding. Great hostess, fast, attentive. 20 stars!!!

Our waitress, she had green hair I believe and her name was Sam, but I have never had a server so nice and attentive to us. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience! Would definitely come back just for her!

I have now eaten at this place a total of three times while visiting the Somerset Pennsylvania area. This is the absolute best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. It is also authentic Italian which is even better. I ordered the manicotti and it was amazing. Everything is homemade from the sauce to the stuffing, and you will not go hungry. Portion sizes are very generous and you're left to want for nothing. My one criticism is that once you are seated and your food is delivered, it seems that the weight staff tend to ignore you after that point. I had difficulty getting refills on my drinks and so forth.

We love Italian Oven in Somerset. Staff is all very friendly and food is great. Our favorite waitress is Elizabeth. As soon as she sees us she comes with our drinks and always a friendly smile!! She always takes excellent care of us!! The meat loaf is one of our favorites. It comes with warm bread that is so hard to stop eating!!! Stop in and visit, I know you will not regret it!!!

Was there a couple times and the food was outstanding. Service was top notch. Sydney was our waitress, and was very attentive and sweet. We will be going back!!

Pamela and I started with the Wedding and Roasted Red Pepper soups. Our entrees were the Seafood Medley and Shrimp Alfredo. For once we only had a small to go box after thoroughly enjoying this fresh made Italian food. We will be back to explore more of their tantalizing menu. Great job to the staff as well. A perfect meal was enjoyed. Thank you and see you soon.

I was here not to long ago, I had the best experience here! The staff are all very nice and the food comes very fast! The atmosphere is very calming. I recommend this place!

Nice little salad, with a delicious house Italian dressing on the side. Italian loaf served with real butter. Absolutely rustic comfort pastas. Marinara was wonderful on fettuccine. Also had another dish of penne pasta with meat sauce. Served fresh & hot. ☕ arrived late but guess what? The food made up for it. Finally a spot to eat a decent meal & rest for our road weary souls.

old memories here. we came back, many years later, when we visited pioneer Park campground. my son was a baby, now he's 31. the food was excellent, as usual, and the service was superb. WE'LL BE BACK!! happy Halloween.......
