Wonderful campground, very close to the lake! Well maintained, with many outhouses and potable water spouts! Absolutely beautiful!!

We planned to spend three nights here but the smoke from Oregon suddenly appeared and we left after one night. We were so sorry not to be able to say good buy to our fantastic hosts Keith and Caroline. They were so helpful and fun. They went out of their way to accommodate us. I hope somehow they see this review and understand why we disappeared. We are Erika and Andy Kalman from Ann Arbor Michigan.
The campground has access to the lake and although the water was cold it refreshed us on the hot day. The upper loop had been closed and the lower loop had only a few sites so we were lucky to get the last spot when arrived around 2 pm.
This campground was recommended to us by our daughter who stayed here in June with her family.

When every other campground in the Idaho panhandle was completely booked, Bell Bay came through with great available lakeside camp sites. A little off the beaten path but nothing too remote. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were pretty standard. The view was amazing!

I found this place by chance, no reservation, 7-30pm, took a chance and found a Gem, I got spot 15, incredible. Camp host Keith is brilliant, helpful and very friendly, makes you feel welcome. Place is immaculately kept, toilets are spotless clean, I’m staying the max 14 days, love it here.

I've always loved bell Bay. It's got RV and rent sites (~20) with water and non-flushing bathrooms. It's in a national forest far from the highway and has beautiful vistas of lake couer d'alene. Most campsites are first come first serve so you don't have to worry about reserving 3 months in advance.

Just as the post prior to mine said, labor day weekend, everything is full in the panhandle, and BellBay had a spot open! Nice people, small quiet campground. Best smelling pit toilets ever!

Love this campground. Great camp host. Great views. Swimming dock. Not for big rigs. $21 or half off for senior pass.

Beautiful campground (lower loop) and views. Clean, nice camp host, very quiet. Access to the lake by a trail at the lower loop.

NOTE: If you’re pulling an RV be aware of the last few miles (paved after the dirt), as the road is big enough for you and that’s it. Nowhere to pull to the side if you were to meet another RV coming up/down. Would be a very interesting situation.

Park service also needs to cut back the bushes as there are a lot of blind corners.

Will stay here again.

Nice place to camp, very quiet and clean. The bathrooms are all long drop toilets but are well maintained by the hosts daily. Visiting in July there were mosquitoes but that was expected as it is in the forest. The few downsides were; the road to get to the campground was quite long and were on skinny, windy roads. Also, it was nice to have water access but in order to get to the water you would have to walk down a steep hill and all that was at the bottom were 2 docks and no beach. But in the town of Harrison not too far away there are quite a few beautiful beaches. I highly recommend Carlin Bay Beach in Harrison, Idaho!

Water is easy to access, and Outhouses are kept in good, clean condition. The campground managers were helpful, friendly and always easy to find. The view from several of the sites is absolutely breathtaking (if you like water), and the fishing from the docks was outstanding! We will definitely be back!
