Bear Meadow lodge

I don't see how you could have a bad experience! The hosts went above and beyond in our room (the wilds) with little extras like a stocked fruit basket and fridge filled with water, propel, cheese and yogurt. Little choclates for 2, his and her robes as well. The hot tub was wonderful, the view amazing. Thanks for making our anniversary so special 💕

We stayed in room 9. Very spacious with 2 full bathrooms and a bonus room. Jim, the innkeeper, was very friendly. Highly recommend the Bear Meadows or the Bear Mountain Lodges.

Our recent stay was awesome! The thoughtfulness of breakfast eats and personalization coupled with the cleanliness and peaceful environment made for an enjoyable visit. The town itself was quaint and reminded us of a time many have never even experienced. Everyone we met was friendly and we will definitely visit again. Thank you!

We stayed in The Mountain Breeze Suite and our stay was wonderful. All the little personal touches like the flame less candles already lit for our arrival, bear shaped soap, lots of treats and drinks, full coffee bar and a little welcome note. The room had two restrooms, separate sitting area that can be closed off and a deck with a hot tub. Quiet, beautiful and very maintained/clean. Perfect stay.

Couldn't ask for a better place to get away. Quiet, peaceful, excellent service and beautiful rooms. Many cute places to see in town at Wellsboro.
Rooms were very cozy and well taken care of, refreshed daily, and caretaker was very attentive to our needs!

This was our first time staying at Bear Lodges and we absolutely loved it.
We arrived in the early evening our first night. Hanging on the door was a cute little tote bag with some information and a personalized welcome letter, as well as $20 Wellsboro dollars.
There was rose beside the chalkboard with a welcome message and a basket of snacks on top of the fireplace.
We were able to make it early enough to catch the sunset from the deck which was spectacular.
The room was amazing and they thought of every detail. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck, especially at night under the stars.
Although there are other rooms, you feel as though you are in a private getaway.
Jim and Amanda were so helpful. We were so sad to leave but we will definitely be back!

This was our first time at Bear Meadows,, absolutely amazing!! So peaceful and relaxing which is what we were there for,, the hot tub under the stars was beautiful, I've never seen so many stars. Everything was so clean and fresh, even down to the little details, from the breakfast basket to the roses... we will definitely be returning in the future and recommend this place to everyone!!

Loved it!! This place was amazing, the hosts were wonderfully accommodating! Snack tray everyday was great! Delicious muffins! It was a great relaxing weekend with the private hot tub deck! The mountain breeze Room was very spacious! Close to the PA Grand Canyon where we were able to go on some great hikes and bike rides!

Pictures just don't do this place justice! As soon as we walked in, we were surprisingly impressed with how cozy the lodge felt, how IMMACULATELY clean it was and loved all the cute personalized touches! We booked directly through their website and also received $20 in Wellsboro Dollars to spend in town from a list of numerous restaurants and stores! (We used ours at the Red Skillet and the ice cream creamery. Everything was delicious!) We were given a welcome tote which came in handy the next day as we packed all of the great drinks, snacks, and goodies Bear Meadows provided!! And they didn't skimp - it was the name brand stuff ha! The towels were clean, plentiful, and super fluffy, even the toilet paper was lux! We loved the private outdoor hot tub experience under the stars and the provided robes were perfect! (Oh, and there is even a bike barn for you to lock up your bikes! Great mountain biking in the area!)
As frequent world travelers, we are bummed Covid keeps up from traveling but this little getaway at Bear Meadows was such a perfect retreat, we look forward to returning and highly recommend you book here! Great job, Bear Meadows Lodge!!

Very well appointed room, clean and very romantic. We loved the fireplace! The breakfast basket was packed with delicious choices, and we appreciated the cheese, yogurt, iced tea and water in the mini fridge. The private deck offers lovely views, especially at sunset. We loved staying here and plan to be back!

My best friend and I planned a mom’s getaway in The Headwaters Room. It was the perfect relaxing getaway. Everything was perfect. Our plan was to relax and that’s exactly what we did. We got there and never left. We were greeted with a personalized welcome note with “candles” lit and a soft radio station playing on the radio. There were so many thoughtful details put into the room. The bed was so comfortable. The towels were so soft. The hot tub was perfect. Everything was pure perfection. We will 100% be back.

This is how you do it... From the time we arrived we loved this place. They give you ample food and beverages in the room and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in. Our room had a private hot tub for 2, 2 recliners, a mini-fridge and a fireplace. The fireplace was gas and easy to operate. It's a nice touch for when you come in from the outside it really warms you up. When laying in the bed I could smell cedar and it reminded me of my childhood. We are definitely going to stay here again on our next trip up. Fantastic and laid back...great job.

Recently had our second stay with Jim and staff, this time The Headwaters Room. I could write a book about how wonderful both Bear Mountain and Bear Meadow are. Every small detail is thought about, the room was so comfortable and as usual the goody basket was delicious! The view from our balcony was amazing! We are already planning our next trip and many more to come.

Had an amazing weekend getaway from Philly. Stayed in the wilds room and it was beyond our expectations. Large deck and clean hot tub to enjoy the great view. The room was so cozy and inviting from the moment you walk in you feel welcome. Recommend to all, had a great time. The only issue was my girlfriend would have liked more water pressure in the shower.

I've stayed here twice. It's beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The innkeepers go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Fresh-baked goodies and always-stocked coffee in the room is my favorite touch.

Beautiful accommodations. Their attention to detail right when you arrive is amazing. From the romantic lighting and relaxing music beling played in our suite to the small touches of comfort they provide. Every need was met plus much more. We were so very impressed. I can't say enough about how beautiful this lodge is. It was so romantic, relaxing, and private. Loved every minute of our stay and definitely will be returning.

Was outstanding... They really paided attention to details. Personalized welcome sign in our room. Stocked breakfast basket and fridge. The view was just breath taking. We loved the journal in the room and was able to share our story and experience. Will most certainly be coming back.

CLASS ACT! From the heated floors, to all the little extras like a picnic bag and treats to go in it. The view from the hot tub on the back deck made our weekend! And I practically melted when I showed up to candles (battery operated of course!) and music playing softly in the room! This clean, beautiful place made me feel instantly welcome and at peace! I almost didnt want to share the glowing comments because I would love to have it all to myself!
