Bethany Police Department

When I look at the reviews, I'm baffled because my experience with Bethany police department has been nothing but good. it's simple if you obey the laws they're going to be nice if you're driving drunk you're going to get arrested. My daughter was arrested for a DUI and they were nothing but sweet to her. I know that they are appreciated in the neighborhood I live in and I'm always happy when I see them patrolling because we've had problems in the past and they keep Bethany very clean and secure.. I'm grateful that we have police officers that care about our community. you can definitely tell the cut off line between Warr Acres and Bethany it's like night and day!! Thanks for your service guys.
I would like to do a shout out to reviewer HEATHER VERNON, Heather, you sound like a very sweet lady. I, like you, worry about my home and surroundings. May I suggest to you that the officer was probably in a stressful situation, due to the eight cop cars, and 2 undercover officers mentioned in your blog. If you were concerned about safety, how much safer can you get than having all those officers there? They were obviously putting your tax dollars to good use and on top of the situation. If you want to know what is going on? There is always the news or the paper, I would never ask an officer what is going on during an intense situation. He probably wasn't thinking about your "feelings" and was more focused on the task at hand. If I were in your shoes I would have called the police department and thanked them for keeping your neighborhood safe.

We had a tragedy in our family last April. Not only did the Bethany Police Department help us through our loss, Detective Harding especially had the patience of a saint.

My grandson was murdered in Bethany and Detective Angelo and the other officers were wonderful people. They made sure the monster that did it was put away forever. Thank you for your service and dedication.

Had to recover a vehicle I owned at 2am. Only had my digital copy of insurance verification. The officer at the headquarters was kind enough to let me email it to him right then and print it for me.
And yes people. Don't speed in Bethany. I promise, you listen to the Bethany police band for a few hours, you'll see they do more than write tickets as well.

The lady that works the phone goes by the name of Walters I believe she stayed on the phone with me while I was so frustrated at a situation I have in my hands
As for the police officer I spoke with on the phone since I’m out of town (-90 stars) he has no right to put on his uniform and call himself an officer of the law.
He had no desire to find out why I’ve called the police on my mother. The officers of the law🙄

Had my car stolen from my home a year ago and the police were quick to respond. The people at the call center were really kind when I called them for updates.

Had someone causing problems at my business. We called BPD and they showed up in less than a minute and handles the situation with nothing but professionalism.

The few times I've had to work with that Bethany police department...its been a pleasant experience. I appreciate those who have such a tough job

Difficult to work with . Rude court clerk

This morning at 7:30 am i hear massive banging. I was asleep and hoping to sleep in on my day off and the rain. I kept hearing it and ran to the door and lifted the shades. It was a police officer. I ask what is going on and he states an unknown caller called police to report excessive animals. I told him to come in and meet. He said no. Later I called thinking maybe they were fake since animal control was not there and they parked half a block away. I had a medical emergency 3 months ago. My doctor contacted the contracted ambulatory company many times to get vitals and no one returned her call. I had covid just prior but returned to work after testing negative but still weak and fever. I called all agencies the neighbor said was out there. 2 months later the Sargent called me back with zero answers. I totally do not buy the unknown caller and they could have just said they were following up with some honesty. I had no vision that night with the medical emergency and i asked several times if something happened. Nothing. Dead silence. I could hear fine. I decided since they were telling me zero I would ask them to leave. So what was that lame excuse at 730 am this morning? Since i hardly know 4 people in the whole state its super weird that someone would target me. Seems my boring life must be on someones radar.

Do not ask about parking because the police believe that gives them the right to arrest you. Not a joke. Officer Harris risked ruining a man's life and reputation because he asked about parking!
