Susquehanna Shores Campground

A very nice, small campground. Well maintained and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the owner.

The upper level seem to be more of the semi-permanent campers. The lower, river level, more like us. Short timers.

Nearby is a laundry and down the street a nice, fun little bar with some pretty good food.

The only concern I might suggest is that if you have a long travel trailer, there might be some issue trying to pull your rig off the lower level without dragging bottom. 5th wheels, not a problem. RV’s, it would depend upon your wheelbase and how it compares to the length of the body.

Large, grassy parking areas. Yes, you can have your traditional bugs, but hey, you’re on the river. That’s part of the experience.

This is primarily a seasonal Campground set on the Susquehanna river, which is not only beautiful but well-managed, well-maintained and most importantly exceedingly safe. The owners managed to gather like-minded campers who help to create a family environment which most would be happy to call their camping home.

Great spot...river views...large sites ....Bathhouse handy to all sites and plenty of hot water...camped here many times and always a fun and relaxing stay..plenty of firewood available on site and the store has whatever you need...looking forward to next season......Update October 2017...purchased a new-to-me trailer and Bob the camp host spent several hours jockeying the trailer into position and setting it up for next season... Extremely helpful and knowledgable about all things RV... Thanks Bob and Sue... Looking forward to next season.

Simply the best . My home away from home. Brian and Sonja absolutely go out of their way to accommodate. We are blessed !!

We had an amazing time! A great place for the children to ride their bikes, play on the playground, and play in the river. Very family friendly with a great view!!!

Great place to stay. Not your typical rv park but one that offers a family feel you wont get at the other parks around. Very accommodating and some of the most friendliest folks around, including the usual seasonal campers. Highly recommended if you're looking for the laid back camping feel with the occasional good time.

Owners were super friendly and very attentive. Extremely clean campgrounds.Location is very beautiful, far enough away from town but close enough to stores and other amenities.Really amazing view. Very kid friendly, other campers were very friendly as well. We've officially made this our new campground!

My husband and I are travel nurse/respiratory therapist we were here for a little more then 6 months and loved it. We were just a short walk to the river from our camp site, and the campground is beautifully maintained. All the camp sites have a great view of the river. The owner's are very nice people, they made us feel right at home. Definitely would come back without a doubt.

We have been seasonal campers for two years and absolutely love it here. The views are amazing and the campground is SO well kept. The other campers are friendly and welcoming, as are the owners. They make you feel like family and ensure that your time there is relaxing and enjoyable. We are sad that the season has come to an end. We are looking forward to many many years at Susquehanna Shores !

Excellent place to stay. The owner's are so friendly they make you feel right at home. The area is stunning!!! Right along the Susquehanna River where you can see beautiful sunrises, all kinds of birds, great fishing with convenient boat launch.
I took so many photos this past stay. I even took a picture of a Bald Eagle catching a fish out of the river! I can't wait to go back next year. See you then!

Bob and Sue are the best! I've stayed at their campground a few times over the years and have recommended it to many a family and friend. Not only are Bob and Sue's hospitality top notch, they have worked so well with the different groups I've visited with to accommodate our needs and work with our requests. If you're a somewhat novice camper like me, you'll love the full, clean, and always stocked bathrooms on site that are close to your campground as well. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely a wonderful experience Bob and Sue were so accommodating. My 15 year old daughter called for a one night (most private campgrounds don't like dealing overnight guest)reservation as we were leaving Cape Cod heading to Scranton. Bob was so patient and kind to my daughter as he made a spot available for us. If you want an impeccably clean and well run campground, THIS IS IT!!! We have been traveling the past 3 weeks throughout the Northeast staying in KOA, Encore, Thousand Trails and other private campgrounds of all of these we had the best stay at Susquehanna Shores. If you don't feel like making breakfast the owners will make breakfast sandwiches for you which my kids thought was awesome. I give this place a definitive five stars and 😁😁😁😁😁. I almost forgot what a gorgeous setting.

I spent two weekend nights at Bob & Sue's campground and it was SO NICE. Very clean grounds and bath houses. Bob was especially accommodating, bringing us firewood promptly after asking for it and even hanging around for a while to quench our curiosity and to tell us a little bit about his life (he's a really neat guy with cool stories; gotta ask him about the peregrine falcons). He was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The site is beautiful, by the way. Amazing scenery, ideal for sunrise panorama photos. I hope to go back to Susquehanna Shores this season, but if I don't I will definitely be heading back first thing next season. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

My friends and I have stayed here for two summers now and we love it! The owner Bob is friendly and accommodating and helped us plan a kayaking trip through the Susquehanna kayak and canoe rental shop up the road. We can't wait to come back next year!

First year seasonal camper here at Susquehanna Shores. Great location with exceptionally clean, well maintained campgrounds. Beautiful.......did I say beautiful location along the Susquehanna River, quiet, and peaceful. Management are on site and available. Best location in area as far as we are concerned. Access to boat launch, fishing, swimming, with the enjoyment of that country fresh air. I know we will enjoy the summer/fall here.

We stayed there at the end of a chilly April - Bob and Sue were WONDERFUL! Extremely accommodating and helpful. The campground is well kept and the bath house is very nice. I highly recommend this campground. Others there opening their campers for the season were also very friendly. Thank you Bob and Sue!

Great camping experience. Owners are very helpful and this was an all around lovely weekend for our friends and family (despitethe rain!). We will definitely be returning and recommending this campground to others!

Had an awesome vacation at the campground. Kids enjoyed the beach and fishing. The place is kept so nice and the new owners make your stay enjoyable. So many fun activities. Can't wait to go back.

Owners are extremely accomidating!!! Had a great time with the family. Will definately be back again. Would recommend to anyone with or without kids. Fellow campers were all more than pleasant.

Stayed here for a weekend to go kayaking down the river. The owners and other residents were all very friendly, the bathrooms and showers were spotless, and the river view was gorgeous. Would recommend to stay there for a weekend getaway.
