Excela Square at Latrobe

Just want to show my appreciation for Natalie at Excela Square testing. Went in for mammo and bone density scan today (1/4/24) and she had to be the nicest and most in depth technician I have ever come across. What a sweetheart and know that Independence Health should hang on to this one!

Had my first appointment this morning at Excela (Independence) Latrobe; saw Dr. Anna Gorman. Dr. Gorman was great, all associates were efficient and kind. Highly recommend!

Practically a One-Stop-Shop for medical needs, the facility was designed to offer the most common medical needs all in one place. It includes a family practice, pediatrician, ENT, OT/PT, Cardiology, OBGYN, and a lab- which can do everything from blood draws, xrays, CTs, UltraSounds and more.
The lab can get extremely busy at times, so it would be beneficial to check before heading over.

The staff is kind, professional, and helpful. Even the security guard was helpful when our car battery died in the parking lot. He came out with a charger to jump us.

As of today (8/16/22,) you MUST wear a mask while in the facility, as for all medical facilities.

My husband broke his ankle and came here to see Dr Lauro, who was very kind and explained things well. He even came in on a holiday weekend to do the surgery. The facility was clean and the staff courteous and efficient. Special thanks to volunteer Lucy, who moved my husband around the building and got him back into the car without any help from me. Thanks to all.

New facility, opened in January 2018. Very clean and modern equipment. Appears to be well staffed. All staff have been very courteous and friendly. I have taken my Father-in-law to 2 appointments here they were on time and ready for his appointment on time or before hand.

Beautiful new facility! Very clean and modern look. Lots of parking, but a ton of handicap spaces! Nice rooms at our PCP's offices. The Quickdraw on the first floor is super convenient! Staff there Stephanie and Heather are both very professional and prompt while friendly and personable! Nice cafe area right inside. Very happy with the building and staff we've encountered!

We have spent the last week with our daughter in the ICU at Excela Latrobe. I had to share our experience. The entire staff from Doctors, to nurses, to aides, to Respiratory therapists and anyone else that gave her care were absolutely fantastic. They put up with my numerous questions and concerns and took the time to explain everything that was happening. The ICU Dr. took the time to talk to me and reassure me that things were progressing in the right direction. We are so thankful that we could be with her, even if just one at a time with limited hours. A huge thank you to Excela Latrobe!!

This was my first time trying the weekend walk in for Latrobe Excela Square. I was in and out in half an hour and everyone was very kind and professional. I highly recommend. My doctors office in ligonier wouldn't even let me come in to check me out, they made me do telehealth which resulted in "if you're not better by Monday, call again" meanwhile it took me 2 hours to get anyone to answer the phone

On Tuesday, I took my father to have routine lab work/blood work done. Our family doctor recommended the fine folks at the new Excela Square, so we went there for the first time. Needless to say, it's never exciting to go and get stuff such as this done, but with the staff at the Square, it was a real breeze. From getting helpful information at the main desk, to the above and beyond care that he received, I would highly recommend using the Square for all of your routine medical needs. I also would like to commend Ms. Heather C, the senior lab technician who drew the blood from my father. Calling him a scared cat when it comes to needles would be an insult to such a feline, but Heather kept him engaged in conversation, and he completely forgot about the needle going in to draw the blood. We commend this lady and the staff as a whole for all the good that they do.

As someone who hates going to the doctor, this place is great!! The layout is so nice, everything is easy to find, I’ve never had to wait long, and everyone who works here is so helpful and friendly :-)

Amazing facility. So modern they have a zero gravity treadmill for rehab services. They also have a great walking trail around the hospital for anyone who wants to walk!

Very convenient. Great for blood work. X-rays. Etc.
