I’ve gone here many times! Food and service is awesome, Super friendly, makes me feel like cheers where everyone knows your name. And I really go in every couple weeks for the same chicken bacon Swiss with onion rings and my girl gets the chicken Malibu sandwich!

One of the best places in town for food and a beer, or drink, or even a soda!

Great food and service. Loved the pastrami burger and the chili cheese tots. This place is great.

The bartender Mike was extremely nice! The handful of locals in the bar were also very friendly. It definitely perked up my mood after breaking down on the highway and being stranded in a small town.

The Chat is one of my favorite bars! The bartenders are friendly and your drink is always filled in a quick fashion. Their food is great too especially their Mushroom and Swiss burger!!

Still one of the best bars in town!! The people are great, the food is great, and the drinks are amazing!! Be sure to tip your bartender well!

I can’t say enough about the awesome atmosphere at The Chat and Chew. We ended up at the Chat and Chew because of the clever namesake and because we were retrieving our dad’s van from the chevron. Even my brothers were raving about the chat and chew environment. You can do all of your favorite things there: drink, and smoke cigarettes and scratch lottery tickets to your heart is content, but be aware, if you have too many doubles you will be asked to leave. We didn’t eat but next time I will definitely be ordering the mini fried tacos. The icing on the cake were the rad neon tank tops. See photo. Thanks for the awesome afternoon!

Friendliest establishment for food and drink in the area. Patrons are friendly, helpful and enjoy good conversation.

Great Place for an ice cold brew and a bite to eat.

On a Sunday, there was an awesome crowd of locals hanging out and watching football. Although no hard liquor is allowed to be served within the county on Sundays, the have some very tasty beers, and mixers in a can. The locals were fun to talk to, and all had great senses of humor. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger that came out in good order, not dry or over cooked like you get at some bars, along with a good helping of what seemed to me to be fresh cut french fries. The bartender was nice and amicable, and kept our glasses filled with little wait time. My experience was that of having one of the best Sundays in a long time as a stranger in a strange town, not knowing anyone yet they were all very funny and friendly. A great place to watch the game and enjoy good beers and great food.

Finger strips were great! Beer was icy cold!

The Chat n Chew should definitely be a stop on your way through malad. The current owners are very welcoming and the food is the talk of the townm. If you leave there hungry it's your own damn fault !
Plan on getting questioned by the regulars...they mean no harm they're kinda that old school kind of friendly. Once you're in you'll definitely keep coming back because... Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taken a break from all your worries sure would help a lot.. Wouldn't you like to get away??? Oh and don't forget to put your name on a dollar and staple it to the ceiling. It's great to come back time and time again and seeing that you've become a piece of the Chat & Chew history!

Cheap drinks, yummy bar food and great bartenders. Doesn't get much better than that.

Good bar really good food. I got a chili burger. It came how chili burgers should be served, open faced and smothered in chili, topped with a heaping mound of melted cheese sprinkled with diced onions. Is your mouth watering yet? Add some real Idaho spud French fries cooked perfectly and your in for a good meal. I washed mine down with a cold bud light. My bill came to $10, I gave a fiver for tip and still got another back in change for my $20. I will be back!!

Excellent burgers and old fashioned style fries mixed with a quiet atmosphere make for an excellent weekend drive. Mix it with some lottery tickets and you've got a "Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner!"

Really love this quaint little gem with comfortable vibes. The employees and customers here are both friendly. I've always had good food and good service here.
