Took my great granddaughter there, so did the cute scavenger hunt and got a prize. She also loved the sand with dinosaurs.

Awesome place! Its a smaller museum, but they have some of the best native american artifacts I've ever seen.

Easily accessible with good parking. I've been dropping into this museum for nearly 2 decades and while it's changed it hasn't. Friendly staff and interesting exhibits have always been the norm here. Yes, it's small and it won't take up a whole day to see everything, but it really shouldn't be missed. Focused on local animals, local minerals and the native people with a room full of dinosaurs as well. It's a fun time for the whole family.

A really nice museum with very friendly, helpful staff. Our whole family had lots of fun. My 5 year old is the dinosaur and rock/mineral fan,but we had a lot of fun seeing every exhibit. I'd say the animals and the native american timeline was my favorite part. The gift shop was also fun, lots of neat stuff.

An amazing museum. It is staggering to see all the artifacts they have, and even more amazing to know all the items were found locally. Prices are very fair. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Plan on spending longer than you'd think due to the sheer volume of high quality artifacts. Also, since this is a donation driven museum, please donate for your attendance- it is well worth it.

This is one of the best museums I have ever been to. I've frequented this museum since childhood. You would be hard pressed to find a more well versed of knowledgeable staff anywhere. Tiff is by leaps and bounds the best. She loves her job and it shows in many many ways. I love this place!

The Museum of the San Rafael is surprisingly large and full of beautiful artifacts you will not see in other museums. There are three display halls, paleontology, Archaeology mixed with biology and geology, and a pioneer/historic hall. There is even a kids area where kids can play in the sand and dig up dinosaurs. The restrooms are clean and the staff is knowledgeable.

Great displays, and it's free! but they gladly accept donations. They have a children's play area with a sand box, and a free toy if you can answer their scavenger hunt question.

Cute little museum with a ton of effort put into the exhibits. Nice cool place to break up the outdoor adventuring, and the ladies behind the counter were very accommodating.

An amazing museum in a small town. Some of the artifacts belong to residents. Friendly staff here helped us enjoy our visit by providing directions and recommending things to see in the area.
