The cabin pics are from Grey Sandy, one block away. Wonderful long weekend spent on site 2 and 3 at Black Sandy. Kids loved fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Fire pits are oddly placed. Even without full RV hookups, this place is a dream!

You can't go wrong with this lakeside park. It has everything you could possible need. Beautiful tent camp spots, nice RV pads, boat slips for $6 night, trees on a black sandy shoreline, fish, a little check in station with ice and incidentals, a camp host to help you after hours, nice bathrooms and views for days. Dog and kid friendly, wheelchair accessible to most areas, and very friendly parks officials.

Awesome spot near Helena to get on the water. There's an overlook trail as well that has some good views. Free for in-state license plates.

Wonderful place to camp. All the camp hosts were very pleasant. The vault bathroom was immaculately clean.

Almost thought the ice was thick enough to drive on after a week of -20 temps. Only 6-9 inches wide due to moving water underneath. Beautiful and peaceful spot in my neighborhood. Glad to have such a nice park so close by.

One of the most beautiful, peaceful places on earth. We only planned to stay one nite but extended for another nite because it was so peacefully and relaxing here.

Camped here on a through trip in a Kayak. The tent sites were easy to access and there was shade from trees. The bathrooms are clean and there is drinking water available.

Great little place to stay. The veiws are breathtaking. They have a small store that carries bait, wood, and a few snacks. Well-kept restrooms and clean campsites. Be sure to make a reservation because it is booked up quite often. Plan on booking a few weeks ahead if possible.

A great place to camp, fish, boat. A nice hiking trail is just across the road from the campground. It takes you up to some spectacular views of the lake and mountains.

A nice spot to spend the day swimming or boating. Has a decent amount for parking and separate space for boat trailers. The camping spaces have room for campers. You can access the waste stations for your camper going to or from the park. The road to the park does turn to gravel when getting off Lincoln road. It is well maintained and plenty wide for two vehicles.

Best spot for camping on a beautiful reservoir with a rentable boat slip too! Helena is nearby as well. Weak cell coverage for phone addicts though. Ha lol

Although the sites are close you still have your privacy. Sites are mostly right on the water. Rangers were friendly and helpful. They actually had smaller pieces of wood to build a great campfire.

The park was great, camp hosts exceptional, park ranger nice and helpful. Had trouble With my boat, started paddling back to shore .A great guy and his friend jumped on his boat and came out to help towed us in. That's Montana for you come help make Montana green spend lot of money, it's well spent. You'll be happy you did. Jim

Nice clean place for a camping trip or picnic
Fishing is always good. Catching not so much. But Catching on labor day was good.
No cellphone service at this place. Drive back up the road.2.or 3 miles from camp ground and have service.

Had a great time. FWP and camp host are very accommodating. We arrived and found someone in our reserved spot. There was some mix up due to it being the opening weekend but they got us into a decent spot.

Beautiful section to paddleboard! Started a bit rough and windy but got so calm and I've never paddles on water that glassy! Saw so many birds: geese, mallard, merganzer, loons, vultures, and osprey - and tons of HUGE fish jumping.
