Motel Tipton

Very nice motel, very clean. Upon check in, we were greeted by one of the owners who was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are freshly renovated, very light, just the right amount of well selected decor, and with hardwood floors. Mattress was comfy, bed linen was clean & crisp, good pillows. All those little things were there that make travelling nicer: good fluffy towels, makeup towels, bottled water, coffee, microwave and fridge. Great value for the money and all around pleasant stay. They have a pet friendly room (which we did not need or use this time but great to have if travelling with pups). Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place was awesome and they really do everything they can to help you have an excellent stay. Room was clean and well maintained, the coffee was good, the showers were hot and had good pressure and the beds were very comfortable what more can you ask for.

I live in Lone Tree but just became store manager at the Dollar General in Tipton. On 1/8/2024, we were expecting anywhere from 8 to 15 inches of snow. My Husband talked me into reserving a room in case the weather became too severe. I'm glad he did! I arrived at the motel and received a warm welcome! The room was immaculate! Parking right outside my room and they had the heat turned up to the perfect temperature for my arrival during the frigid, snowy night. I couldn't have been happier! Great job!!

This motel is amazing. The owners are friendly and helpful! The rooms are immaculate and have been recently updated! Bed was super comfy and sheets crispy and clean! Love this place!!!

We had a great service and the young lady that to care of us had sleeping problems she got me a pillow to prop up slept great any I'm out there I definitely stay there

First of all, I just have to say that the owners are welcoming, helpful, and so fun. We only needed a 1 night stay and luckily got the last room available. This motel is clean, fresh, and it really shows a pride in ownership. It has recently been renovated and decorated. It’s cute and comfortable. We will definitely be booking our stay here for next year too!! Thank you for providing a clean and comfortable stay after a hot sweaty day at Makers Market!! See you next year

Very nice, comfy room, really clean, gracious owners.
TV not so good. Cable or Dish would be better than searching for just movies and reruns. But... Cost for the motel owners probably prevented that investment to get rolling since they are spending dollars on each room instead. They have done a great job remodeling each room just beautiful and welcoming.

Great! Everything new and wonderful. The owners are on site and responded quickly to our needs. Great place to stay! Beautiful inside and out! Recommend it highly!!!

What a great room and very reasonable price. The shower had good water pressure, cold mini fridge, new mattress. Very satisfied with my weekend stay. The new owners are nice people, top shelf all around.

Last week my mother and I drove across Iowa to see our family. As a small
business owner myself, I was looking for a locally owned motel or hotel to
stay at. Checking out different businesses online, I came across Motel
Tipton.

After looking at their website (info, prices, pictures, "their story", etc.) and
also their facebook page, I was impressed with everything I was seeing. I then made a phone call to them and spoke to Naomi about concerns with
getting a room that would accomodate my mother and her current health
situation. Naomi was a pleasure to talk to and assured me all would be
good for her (me too 🙂). We arrived to meet her and David and had a nice
introduction with them. Our room (Deluxe with 2 Queen Beds) was very
clean and dressed up nicely (the pictures tell the truth). During our stay, we had several nice chats with Naomi (David was away). Our room was comfortable and checking in and out was a breeze.

Do yourself and them a favor. Support the local (independently) owned
motel/hotel group and stay at the Motel Tipton. They will treat you right.

Rooms are remodeled exactly as described and beds were comfortable. Very convenient location. From reservation to check in we had a great experience. I even left my watch behind by mistake and they were kind enough to mail it back to me at no charge.

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed while traveling for work! Clean, w/Retro appliances & an Americana vibe. Huge TV w/super speed WiFi, modern bath & just overall pleasant & cozy! Picnic tables outside for relaxing & visiting. Owners are all family & welcoming in this small town!

Great locally-owned motel in Tipton, Iowa. Had family stay in two of the remodeled rooms during our son’s graduation. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Nice to have a local option when family visits. Thank you for investing in Tipton!

This place was the best hotel/motel we have stayed in. Rooms are spotless and all the things that they have thought of to make life easier is amazing. Definitely will be coming back and telling anyone we know that this is the place to stay.

Wow!! What a great job of remodeling and updating the motel. Everything in nice and clean. Owners are extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend family and friends stay when they come to visit. Keep up the great work!

Stayed for the Good Makers Market at the fairgrounds! Can’t wait to stay here again next year. It was clean. The shower had shampoo,conditioner, and body wash dispensers in case you are forgetful (like me). Manager was very friendly and understanding. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Very happy guests. Bonus was the Roku for the tv that allowed me to sign into my Netflix/Hulu to watch what I’d like. Definitely recommend.

The remodel looks great! Smells way better than the first time I stayed 3 years ago. Owners are amazing people to!

What a great small motel! Everything was very clean , fresh and new. The extras and even a fireplace in the room made it so cozy on a cold windy night.
